Chi Liu transmigrated both body and soul.

On his first day, he was inexplicably dragged into bed by a handsome man for a night of passion.

The next day, supporting his aching back, Chi Liu looked at the information and name on the man’s ID card and was dumbfounded:

Yingwang Corporation · Chu Qi – the big villain from his niece’s infinite flow novel.

On the surface, he’s the NPC president of a certain biological company in a vacation world, but in reality, he’s a tentacled evil god who commits all kinds of wicked deeds!

In the story, the evil god easily infiltrated the players’ only pure land world, dragged an NPC into marriage and childbirth, and gave birth to a big boss who would destroy the entire world.

Chi Liu: SOS

He quickly fled the scene, looking everywhere to warn people, but not only did he not find the so-called players, but everyone looked at him like he was an idiot:

“If you’re sick, go to the mental health center.”

“Monster players, NPCs, you’re playing too many games and can’t tell reality from fiction, buddy.”

“Are you trying to slander President Chu? Do you have a death wish?”

Chi Liu was puzzled: Could he be mistaken? Did he transmigrate into a normal world?

So, he let his guard down, returned to his old job, opened a bar, and started living a good life.

As a result, his body became increasingly strange…

One day, after throwing up for the third time in the bathroom, someone knocked on his door.

A handsome man in a suit stood outside the door, smiling at him and holding a large bouquet of red roses.

Chi Liu: “…”

The man said as casually as if he were talking about the weather, “You’re pregnant with my egg, no, child. I’ll take responsibility.”

“Let’s get married, darling.”

Chi Liu, trying hard to ignore the man’s scarlet eyes: “!!!” “SOS!”

Normally M-preg isn't my cup of tea, but I'm a sucker for Lovecraftian dark gods and mysteries.

This was an average read. It'll fill your time nicely enough, but I only finished it as quickly as I did because if there's a mystery (in this case, who exactly is the MC, and what happened to him in the past) I simply have to know the answer. And the answer was... fine.

I enjoyed the ML's character growth, but felt that the romance itself wasn't fleshed out enough. Even if there are reasons... more>> (debatable) for the MC to fall in love as he did, it felt sudden. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't quick, and the transition from "one night stand who must be avoided at all costs" to "father of my child, let's give it a go" was kind of there, but still lacking.

The world suffered from some quite serious world building issues: who are the players? Are they human? (no?) Why exactly do they want to come into this world? How exactly do the "copies" function? All these questions are unclear, and as most of the plot-related content resolves around the players, it detracts from the story.

My last big note is that if you're reading this - as I was - for the evil god... don't get your hopes up. He devolves pretty quickly into a "hopeless bumbling CEO type." Which is fine, I guess, but it's a pretty big departure from a) what I was expecting and b) how he comes across in the first couple of chapters. Daily Disposable Persona does a much better job of capturing these kinds of evil gods' mindsets: here, the ML just felt too human.

Overall, it's a fine read. It's not too deep, but it's not offensive. The world building leaves much to be desired, but the plot doesn't have any glaring plot holes and the characters are likeable enough (I particularly enjoyed the friendship between the MC and the secretary.) <<less
