Jiang Huaining was reborn and bound to a system, only to discover she was actually the fake daughter in a switched-at-birth novel—and not just any fake daughter, but the vicious, scheming one.

She stole the company, stole the female lead’s parents, did every bad thing imaginable, and was ultimately ruined by the male lead, ending in bankruptcy.

After her rebirth, she started strong—slapped a disgusting bystander once, then gave the male lead three slaps as a warm-up.

Then she went home and said to her mom,

“Mom, wire me 300 million. Your daughter will make you the mother of the world’s richest person.”

“And you don’t like that Liu family brat either, right? The weather’s getting cold—how about sending him to jail?”

Anyone who messes with me, no matter how far, will be punished!

From that moment on, on top of her mission to become the world’s richest person, she added a new goal: send someone straight to prison.

…A multifunctional hemostatic agent, a levitating car, and holographic projection—these were just small steps on her path to kick aside the male lead and become a global tycoon.

—Later—

Reporter: “What do you think was the key to your success?”

Jiang Huaining: “My mom’s 300 million, my own brains, and all the praise from my sister and netizens.”

“Oh, and shoutout to my fake ex-fiancé for sacrificing himself and teaching me that to be a proper billionaire, one must never break the law.”

The male lead in prison: …

The former world’s richest man: …

The real daughter/female lead: My big sis is the best! She’s the smartest! The kindest! Always right!

I like the protagonist, but I feel really bad for the original heroine. What you won't get from this summary is that the wealthy family in this book is really all about profit, calculating the worth of children by their ability. Jiang Huaining is favored because she's better in every way, not because of lingering emotion or sentimentality.

Their father wants to give the company to his biological child, but hesitates because the og female lead is incompetent - no fatherly affection there, to either girls. He says it himself, if... more>> Jiang Huaining were even a little less outstanding, she'd lose her position as the heiress immediately. The mother is controlling and a little obsessive; the blurb on the summary makes her seem like a doting parent, but honestly, she doesn't believe in loving children unconditionally any more than the father. Both parents, on more than one occasion, have wished that the og female lead never showed up - because Jiang Huaining is so much more talented than her. For god's sake, she's still their biological daughter, isn't she? I wouldn't say contempt or disdain, but they certainly don't treat her with warmness.

I guess this is why I feel a little cold reading this novel. In this family, there's no such thing as unconditional love. Parental love is treated the same as achievements, something to be won through hard work and measuring up to standards. Both parents are a bit cold-hearted, which is why I feel bad for the og female lead, who just wants that parental affection but can't seem to get it. She resents being constantly compared to her perfect sister, but they actually don't have a bad relationship, and it seems like she has a good heart. She's a little silly at times, but I honestly feel for her, a person who fears getting hurt so she tries to be 'harmless'.

Anyway, I hope they reach the state where things are as happy and cheerful as the summary depicts soon. If this novel is trying to portray the unsettlingness of a family where children are loved by their value, I have to say, it's doing a wonderful job. <<less
