Lin Ao transmigrated from the world of angsty teen literature to a chaotic, post-apocalyptic wasteland.

In the original story, she was a woman like a dodder plant.

Dodder plants are tenacious, competing for their host’s nutrients and light until the host withers and dies.

The good news: She awakened a dodder ability, allowing her to drain a host’s life force to steal their powers.

The bad news: She has a split personality. Her alter ego is cold and bloodthirsty, parasitizing everything in sight to grow stronger.

On her first day, Lin Ao came face-to-face with a mu*derer and secretly buried the desiccated corpse in a junkyard.

On her second day, penniless, she stared at her own wanted poster and deeply regretted not looting the body.

Much later, people would speak of Lin Ao as a mercurial ruler of the night, whose vicious and twisted methods struck terror into the hearts of all.
