Haeum, who lived alone and in solitude in a hillside shantytown, first encounters Kang Mujoon over matters of redevelopment consent and compensation. Contrary to his fierce appearance, Kang Mujoon treats Haeum with a surprisingly gentle kindness and hands over some documents.

“I’m not a thug. So there’s no coercion involved—trust me.”

Told that all he needed to do was sign the redevelopment agreement to secure a place to live and a monthly wage of three million won, Haeum eventually accepts the offer—unaware that the solid promise would one day turn into a blade, and the once-warm hands would become shackles.

The mask of Kang Mujoon’s true nature slips away all too quickly, and Haeum begins to fall—helplessly, without resistance.
