Lu Qipei has died at the hands of the person she trusted most.

why is Lu Qipei naive too the point of acting like an idi*t? She could just stay with the princess but no, she goes back to the family who killed her cause why not? Then when her brother tells her to scar her face, instead of running away she stays in that very house?

The premise at the start is good, the MC met the princess and they spent quite some time together, and then this rock headed MC decided to go back to her family house yada yada yada to see her brother that got injured, and she doesn't have the heart to kill him? Why? Because he's your twin? Even though he already killed you once? What? Are you s*upid?

Dude literally killed you once and you still go "oh no he's my brother, even though he killed me once I still think of him as my good brother!boohooo!"

So annoying f*ck, like you can just leave it and live a peaceful life, talk about being smart, the MC is just s*upid man..

A pretty decent read. There is a reason why things happened in the first world and all was revealed when they reborn. There are plot twist and an interesting interaction between MC & FL. But I would say it is a mild plot. There was no climax, no cliffhanger. It focuses so much on the couple that I felt that there were character growth details that were left out from the story. If you are looking for something that does not have drama/heartache etc, this is a good choice

Highly recommend read. This one is great. One of the few likeable and bold FL I've read that's just *chefs kiss*

Starting off is good. Haven't read much but caught up with the translation and so far it's awesome. Wish it was completed as this one is a binge material. Kudos

A lot of fluff with some yandere here and there, no short of yuri from the main leads. I'm a fan of 'Love Interest Falls in Love First' and this is literally that.

I'm sure readers will love the yandere Princess (Qi Yang), who pretty much already went through character development and changes from the start due to the plots, while the MC (Lu Qipei), is still in the baby step.

Since both MCs reincarnated back to the past before the bad stuff happened, now it's the good and satisfying stuff that's happening from the start. I'm sure there will be heavy plot later, but as of chapter 19, it's still the fun stuff.

Plot is good, writing is good, character development also good.

Only problem is I can’t Mtl it anymore, this novel has some mystery and politic schemes which is have to use brain while reading, but my poor brain can’t keep up with mtl version.

I like the Princess best in this novel more than MC. Princess is bold, she knows what she want, and can face any consequences.

But MC from start sometimes piss me off, too timid and dense. Fortunately MC is character development was good.

It's actually good! Although, the MTL version hurts my brain lol. Try the properly translated version, and you'll see how interesting the story is.

It kinda reminds me of 'Clear and Muddy Loss of Love' for some reason. I guess the obssessive side of the princess contributes to that. Also, some parts will remind you of that novel (this one has less angst and funnier).

I really love the characters especially the princess. She's really cute, and quite a yandere😂. They are very good together too! I ate a lot of dog... more>> foods while reading their fluffy scenes HAHA!

Lu Qupei feels guilty towards the princess after she dies on their past life because she thinks that she involved the Princess on her brother's scheme. The princess became obsessed on Lu Qupei after she found out that her husband (wife) died without her noticing it. She realized her feelings too late, so she regretted a lot of things on her past life.

I really like it up to this point, really sweet and no real angst for now. I also like both main characters, one is very shameless and just goes for what she wants, but isn't s*upid about it and luckily does not get r*pey as many do (why? Just why do so many yuri novels, manga and anime get so r*pey?). The other starts very cute and naive, but doesn't maintain that "I see nothing, I know nothing" that some have, but rather quickly notices the affection of the other... more>> and after some short hesitation goes for it; and also goes from naive to intelligent/cunning at just the right speed for me to not get tired of it, and believably too because she was never s*upid, just very laid back. <<less

Oh I love this type of yuri novels. Soft and mellow, though slow. Had the opportunity to read 'Eastward Flow' before (though had to use every brain cells I had just to understand everything) and it has the same vibes to this one.

Thank you so much for you translations and this lowly one pray to all those deities out there that you don't drop this one.

It is actually an interesting plot where the two leads reincarnate. So far, the plot is good, I enjoyed reading and looking forward on how certain actions make them remember their previous human, without knowing the other is thinking the same. Another plus is that both leads are clever and cautious.

I liked it a lot! Their love is pretty sweet, I don't think there's a lot of stories where the two characters live and trust each other 100% like Lu Qipei and Qiyang did. You'll be fed dog food every chapter.

Do not expect for it to be like Clear and Muddy Loss of Love (ehem heartache, doubt, FL with good martial arts). Lu Qipei is pretty much intelligent even tho she wasn't properly raised to overpower like her brother. Even though both her and the princess were reborn, most of... more>> the little knowledge they have is useless since their arrival changes the future, and both being women weren't trusted revenge/royal affairs. Don't get swayed by the comments regarding her being dumb for going back to her brother. His character is irrelevant and stops appearing before 50 chapters pass by. He gets his karma so don't avoid this novel only because of a few chapters.

If you have read 'The princess shadow guard cannot be too clever', I feel like even that novel has a little bit more drama than this one. I like both of them. None of that fake "HE" where the leads fight for 10 years and finally reunite only to die and truly be together once they're in the afterlife. I like my cp to be alive. Lol. <<less

I agree with others. MC is infuriatingly s*upid. The author seems to lack the ability to create characters with realistic trains of thought. MC is supposed to be a top scholar, but seems to have the intelligence of Forest Gump?

Since her bother killed her before, and has no official power compared to her (who is backed by the princess), literally all she has to do is NOT GO NEAR HIM OR HIS HOME. So why the ACTUAL f*ck does she reject every offer by the princess, or any form of common sense, and keep going back?!?

It's uh... Not good. 😶 Don't really know what else to say honestly. I'm not really angry just kinda meh? The author didn't really hook me and well I probably would have enjoyed it more if the first chapter well wasn't. After that first impression I just kinda mucked my way through some of it stepped on a few legos but ultimately got bored and well here I am. Fluffy, sweet, plot armour wearing lesbian couple. Post rebirth there's literally nothing that goes too wrong for them, even if things might and do go wrong for others.

Even so, it's still a pretty fun read if you're interested in minor political sub plots and face-slapping. Happy ending over all, with a low stakes plot and a romantic vibe throughout.

I'm not very good at explaining things and may cause misunderstandings about the novel, so I would advise to read the novel rather than just basing off an opinion on my review. Please read on your own discretion. (Honestly seems more of a rant than a review.)

I very much liked it, I especially love the relationship between Lu Qipei & Qi Yang. And I quite like the fact that in their second life even though they were involved in the main incidents, they are usually sidelined. I feel that... more>> it's quite historically accurate, I don't really know much so if it's not sorry. Qi Yang was a mere princess and Lu Qipei was her Prince Consort, they don't have as much power as their titles suggest. I can't say that it's the best baihe I've ever read or that I loved it. But I definitely liked it very much, it just wasn't a very interesting story. And that's why I think it's historically accurate, which is what makes me like it very much. Because in the actual context of the story, these two are more side characters than the main characters. They don't go on any intense journey, nor do they have extremely powerful influences or such. But it's very obvious that they should not be trifled with. They lived somewhat like side characters, and I honestly quite liked that. And honestly I love how enamoured they are with each other, and the reveal of the rebirth was timed very well.

Lu Qipei has the Lu family's incredible wealth, influence and power but she doesn't use it much because if the rest of the royal family figured out who she is, she would be very f*cked. Lu Qipei is basically the living daughter of the Liang State's main enemy. Both sides of her family were nearly wiped off before her birth, they were all nearly killed off by the previous Emperor. So yeah, they are naturally born enemies, but these two did not give a f*ck about that. Qi Yang is royalty but she is only a princess, hence she usually relies on her brother and the Emperor rather than her own forces. But after their deaths, she was finally given her time to shine and damn did she shine.

On another note, Lu Qipei's hesitation to kill her twin brother is because of their relationship in the past. She was raised to be loyal and filial to him, and she lived her whole life with him right beside her. It's quite reasonable that she hesitated.

But in the end she ends up killing him after he went too far. Lu Qipei is not a coward, this was especially shown when she caused her father to die with no hesitation. Lu Qipei loves and is only loyal to one person, Qi Yang.

Female prince consort and/or female emperor in ancient times trope have a huge grip on me and this novel also hits just the right spot. There's a load of fluff, angst and a plot that actually gets the story moving. It's not all perfect as when we're looking at Lu Qipei's actions after her rebirth, she's pretty passive and doesn't always make the right decisions, but considering she also died pretty young in her first life, it's rather expected for her not to mature that much, though at least she... more>> knows to guard against the people who would later betray her. Most of her growth happens at the background and only sometimes hinted at the text - the author takes show, don't tell rule a little too far where they barely even show what's going on sometimes.

The princess, Qi Yang, is slightly more active and better in her decision making, but these two are too lost in their own romance sometimes they overlook a lot of important things. While realistic considering how lovesick young couple act, it's also frustrating since we get the premonition of something that will go wrong somewhere but they're living in their own bubble despite dangers peeking at every corner. They're also... not great parents. They're alright. But wow some people shouldn't have kids if they're just gonna be lost in each other lol.

The author sometimes make the narrator breaks the fourth wall and make the omniscient narrator sometimes comment about the difference between the ancient world/modern world, which takes you out of the world immersion at times, a weird case of telling so much in those instances.

All in all, despite the weaknesses, I love the warmth in the novel and the love and respect the protagonist share, so it'll remain in my top picks list for a while yet. <<less
