With the mundane ordinary skill “Warehouse”, I spent 15 years as a baggage handler in a party that happened to pick me up.

That party grew into the strongest party, led by Ryan, a Hero with the strongest skills. Ryan and his team finally succeed in defeating the Demon King.

“Sorry. You’re fired.”

They said I don’t deserve to be in their party, and I’m sentenced to be fired.

But there’s a part of me that thinks it’s the right thing to do.

And that’s because… I’m weak.

I’m so weak.

I could just barely win a single combat with a goblin if it was unarmed and I had a weapon.

To be honest, I wasn’t able to contribute at all to the fight against the monsters of the Demon King’s army.

At the age of 30, I was expelled from my old hero’s party. I have no choice but to start looking for something new.

For now, I aim to become a great merchant, while working steadily in business, I will try to find a wife. In addition, in this world, polygamy seems to be allowed.

This is a slice of life with some ecchi elements. The writing style is very simplistic, about upper elementary school reading level. As such, the story itself is meh. Translations is very good, though.

This is about a normal person doing whatever he can to survive after being kicked out of his party. He doesn't do any fight, he's kind of a coward, but ultimately he's a merchant not a combatant. People may need to shift expectations for our MC here because even if it's still a world of monsters, magic, and adventurers, the only thing MC has are his OP storage and hard work selling whatever he finds. Nothing else.

Chapters are short, too short to my liking, and pacing is kinda weird. Sometimes... more>> it drags long, sometimes it just skips things. Very minimal world building but properly written on the go. Character personalities are ok but may feel cardboard-ish because of how short each chapter is.

After all an ok novel to kill time <<less

The story covers the rise of a hero's baggage handler with no combat abilities from rags to to riches. His only saving grace were his experience, wits and his oversized Warehouse skill. He had to do ordinary merchant stuff such as peddling stuff around, hiring guards, working as baggage handler and opening shops.

MC is by no mean perfect. He made mistakes, outwitted and stuff often goes beyond out of his control. He tried to be prepared for the worst but more than often it goes awry. He is not a... more>> genius nor he pretend to be. His plot armor is thin and it will keep you on your toes.

Is it harem? Yes. However, its an important take for medieval merchant. They often go on journey for months if not years away from "home." It is especially true for merchants that believes on a religion that allows polygamy.

His harem is not your usual collection of girls that leech MC off for everything. The "incompetent" merchant taught his women how to live and provide for people important to them. This particular line below motivated me to write a review:

The writings (word choices specifically) might be less exqusite and compared to elementary school reading. However, keep in mind its meant to be a "Light" Novel, it is not The Wolf of Wall Street. Though, it might also affected by translator's proficiency with english - it seems english is not his mother tongue.

All in all, it is a fun read and I believe its an underrated novel. Though, be warned author seems to be on hiatus to work on his LN version for this WN. The translations also stopped in the middle of an arc, you might want to stop at Chapter 124 which concludes Mitra's arc. <<less

Very basic writing skill, and fairly simplistic MC. A decent read, but I’m sure there’s a better version of the infinite storage skill out there. In my opinion, I find the MC really boring and dull, but the side characters are pretty fun to read about at times. The MC is just really passive in most of the character interaction, and it’s 9 times out of 10 on the other characters to engage and carry the interactions. That’s fine early on, but after 120 chapters it’s kinda tedious.

The biggest knock... more>> on this story would probably be either the lack of depth in the conversations- for a slice of life, this is kinda a moral sin. There’s just a lot of passive voice, meaning a lot of tell not show- for example, any scene with convincing or planning- we are told it happens and then it’s explained either afterwards or during. That hurts the tension in the story, and subsequently the readers level of engagement.

I’d point out that the romance is shallow, gratitude for help equals marriage, repeat, but after the first 3 chapters you can’t expect anything meaningful.

  • Decent idea, subpar execution, and yes, plot armor does exist when there is no real consequences for the MC.
  • Readable, but you won’t be missing out.
