Finally my favorit knovel get translated😭😭😭

I mtl-ed this novel last year and read the whole book in less than a week. Never expect I'll purchase knovel without understand korean at all LOL. And it's not cheap TT

Overall, this novel gives kinda similar vibe like "under the oak tree", some reviewers even also said that. But it's actually not same at all. Even the setting is literally different duh. But yeah, some aspect at give similar vibes.

I can't say it's a masterpiece. The first volume have repetitive plot and boring. But... more>> I still kept reading because I really enjoy it. The later volumes are much better. My favorite part is the flashback part. I cried a bucket because of this part. Actually every volume has a part that made me cry.

About characters,

Enya is a weak character at first and ofc she will get character growth later. ML (i forget his name) is a great man. He didn't fall in love and being obsessive for no reason. I like this part of him. Their relationship is not full of fluff but can't say it's not romantic at all.

Side character are so likeable, except the bad one ofc. I can say their end (the villains) are satisfying enough.

If you don't like it, maybe it's just not your taste. Not because it's bad. Also this review is 100% subjective. That means what I felt isn't same with what you'll feel when read this novel. Sorry for my broken english <<less

I am enjoying the plot development so far. I wouldn't compare it to Under the Oak Tree, aside from the fact that the male protagonist is deeply devoted to the female protagonist; Enya has a limp and is excluded from the tribe because of her disability, so no one understands his devotion to her. The plot gets pretty intriguing, there is a war brewing and hidden facts about Enya are revealed, and I am anticipating an interesting story!

This was a surprisingly good story. I didn’t expect it to have an actual plot. I picked it up on a whim, thinking it was just a smutty romance, but it turned out to be much more.

One thing I really liked was that the relationship between the FMC and ML was already established from the start. The romance development is mostly summarized, so the story focuses more on everything else. The ML and FMC have been attached to each other since childhood, and from the very beginning, the ML planned... more>> to spend his life with her. He never even entertained the idea of being with anyone else—in fact, just the thought of the FMC with another man sends him into a rage.

I absolutely loved the ML. He’s incredibly devoted—he does the chores, pampers the FMC like a queen, and the way he makes love to her is just intense. He can be a little controlling, but given that he’s a chief tribesman and the FMC constantly gives "damsel in distress" vibe, it makes sense. She’s frequently hurt or in need of saving, though it’s not really her fault—she has a limp and is physically weaker than the other women in their tribe.

What to expect from this book:

  • A lot of drama with the tribespeople
  • An FMC who’s an outcast, often bullied and avoided
  • Disability being treated as a serious problem, almost like a curse
  • Plenty of war planning
  • An FMC who feels insecure about 90% of the time
  • Character development
It’s well-written, though a bit repetitive at times, but still a solid read. And the ML, He’s just so intensely protective and caring that he will make your heart melt. Honestly, it’s everyone’s dream to have a partner like this. I was rooting for this couple the whole way through—I just wanted them to finally have their peace, love each other, and exist without all the chaos. <<less

This is the first time I'm reading a novel set in this part of history. Frankly, reading a story set in such primitive conditions was a new but exciting experience for me. The living order, moral rules and the effort made to survive are very different. The main roles are people who are very connected to each other but lack communication.
