I was lured by an invitation email to the beta test of the sequel to the game I’ve been playing for the past 10 years. To my surprise, all the mods I’ve installed over the years were still there.

Everything from enemy enhancement mods to NPC gender swap and appearance retouching mods were intact.

Even mods for changing the characters’ outfits were still in place.

*Takes inspiration from Sekiro + Soulsborne series.

Alrights wheres the s*xual intercouse tag cause half of the harem are thirsty as hell

Anyway back on the review

The novel starts with the MC beating dark souls 4: sekiro dies again which is apparently reaching 10 years old now on hitless sl1 (soul level 1) punching only run, which after that humogous achievement immediately got sent to the game world

The story has heavy dark souls inspired setting with some bloodborne sprinkle here and there, also all the combat is pretty much sekiro so more easier to imagine the fight scene,... more>> the characters have "good enough" personality, most of the important ones are females and s*gs with almost all the harem too

Anyway enough with jokes time to get serious

As above MC fallen to a game world after achieving his hitless run HOWEVER, the plot twist here he completed a modded hitless run,

For some layman here, he completed the equivalent of the Dark souls Archthrones Overhaul mod sl1 hitless fist only NG+7, you can look it up how hard each tag really means

Anyway after falling through the game he discovered its actually the modded game he played not vanilla and shenanigans ensue, turns out the world is fully modded to hell, all the girls are skyrim tier modded with DD cups as the smallest breast size, using skimpy outift also world breaking modern outfit too, seriously one of the chapter explain that all males wear appropriate clothing while all females are wearing something you see in a modded skyrim f*ck adventure, also cherry on top, all the important male npcs got genderbend, the girl on the cover is the female emperor (formerly male) also yandere too, so maybe the genderbend tag needs to be there aswell?

The MC name is delta which is a reference for bioshock 2 protag, this alone should tell you the amount of reference that this novel has

Anyway the story is bog standard "ultimate villain planning to destroy the world", its serviceable, nothing too crazy, the only reason why you will read this is purely for the MC going around posture breaking enemies and f*cking the harem

This novel reminds me of my modded skyrim f*ck adventure run and you know what, thats completely fine, a little bit of greasy double cheeseburger with soda for a side once in a while does wonders to the brain after an exhausting day <<less

It was a nice Smut, Polygamy Harem with an intense fighting scene novel. If this kind of genre is your cup of tea, I'll recommend it.

Summary:

- MC's main mission is to protect the world from World Eater Dragon.

... more>> - The world is when Women are stronger than Men. A Reversed World genre.

- MC Growth is very reasonable. It is not very overpowered. It makes the story not boring.

- The comedy part was fine. Most of them are s*x jokes.

- Other characters are well made.

- The smut part was very intense and detailed.

MC's h**ny and stamina are very absurd and unrealistic. That lasts for 15 hours or above; sometimes, it takes a week. WTH IS THAT d*ck MADE OF.

Your typical korean game-transmigration isekai. MC' s a pro gamer, gets transmigrated to his favorite game he's been playing for a decade. The author said it takes inspiration from sekiro+soulbourne series but at this point, there's not much truly "dark" happening (so he must be talking about the game the MC transmigrated), only some solo fights here and there. That's because this is actually a harem novel.

Take this with a grain of salt. There's 400ch; so much left to see, but here's the general flow: some s*upid event happens (usually... more>> concerned or involved with a woman), MC relies on his boundless knowledge to solve it, the involved woman get infatuated or interested. There's no comedic or unusual twist, only a linear path to be travelled.

As can be inferred from the title itself, the game is modded, that is, most characters being female. Based on how the MC conducts himself so far (with this mindset that thinks and analyzes as if the world is still the game he played), it doesn't seem like he's gonna form any meaningful connections outside his harem.

Combat system is a mess, and the author did not really described how strong each character is. That's why you don't know if the opponent is really strong or not. MC being so skilled in real combat despite spending more than 10000+ hours shut-in in real life doesn't help. Consider:

MC killed a monster that a knight commander formerly guarding the imperial palace failed to slay? What about when MC purposedly stabbed his own stomach to supposedly down his health and get a better attack power? To begin with, does it not hurt? Or was he planted with pain receptors? That was no longer a game. The author explicitly stated that he transmigrated.

Despite all this, I rated 5 stars because I realised I caught up with the latest translated ch and I did enjoy it. You'll dismiss the absurdity of the novel by simply recalling the fact that is actually set in a game world. And the author did not forget that. <<less

So MC is a godlike souls game player and beat the game with no hits in the most hardcore difficulty mod using only the character hands.

Then MC get an invite to test a new game from the devs and get transported to the game world. But the thing is he goes to the game mode with the difficulty mod and some erot*c mode where the boss characters who were man get genderbend and use erot*c clothes and this become like the world common sense.

World build is ok and give us... more>> some settings about how the world work and how it stays the same as the game with some small changes, MC get a class where he get tr*sh status because the plot says that class is cursed by a witch, but is mostly a class for players who want a more challenger run. The hardcore mod is said to make bosses have more hp and way more attack patterns, and get a hit means you die even with the best status and armor and while the MC has no system or cheat status he basically is the god of evasion and can parry almost all attacks using his knowledge about the game.

The heroines are amazing and not just some copy paste harem members, and I like how some of then are not brain dead by the author and will get MC by surprise even when he has the plot in his head and try to follow then to survive and get strong.

I guess the MC will be the reason some ppl will want to stop reading, is really hard to describe as he keep changing the way he interact with the heroines, in a chapter he say he don’t want to bed a girl who basically already said she wants the D for being afraid to change the plot, then he basically says he know the girls have feelings for him and need to stop making excuses to run away from then, but in another chapter he ask why some girls are literally getting naked in front of him and don’t understand why they are doing this. The good thing is around chapter 100 MC stop being a p*ssy and decide to go all the way with the first girl who was almost on the level to r*ape him, she literally say to him she want a weak guy who become strong and make her his woman and even say this guy is the MC himself.

The novel itself is great and the fight scenes well writing just be advice MC WILL start to daydreaming in the middle of the fight or even when someone is in front of him. Yeah in a setting where if MC get hit he dies he start to monologue and daydreaming. So if you can past the MC you will find a good novel with souls element and lots of parody. <<less

I love isekai.

I love weak to strong.

i love harem.

i had high hopes if one thing that the MC would live like a person, and make choices, and treat it as real life. I've only read a hand full of the game related isekai's and I've noticed that unlike the novels or things like that they typically get stuck in the mentality that it's always about the game, and here is no different.

I think the thing that pisses me off second most is that the MC realizes that the game is subject to change, but constantly after realizing (and f*cking remembering he's realized it) he will come full circle 'oh no, why is this happening'. And instead of building on that and trying to roll with the punches, we will come back to a 'how is this possible' over and over when the situation arises.

he will seriously look like he has it all in the palm of his hands and really 95% of the time that is really about true. But he's too overconfident in his ability and how things will go. Serveral times he's met with something out of his control and it makes you mad because it's semi predictable and preventable. The only good thing? There's no real negative permanent issues. But it still makes you mad you know.

you will get constant info drops on game related strats or characters. It kinda gets annoying. But it's tolerable, till it kinda isn't. You'll skim. We all have.

My big problem with it tho is he can stall 3/4 of a chapter in internal dialogue in conversations and more so when 'hey I'm going to kill you' que 1/2 chapter of internal dialogue with the antagonist of the arc adding 2-4 more chances for the MC to just speak but he's too busy rationalizing the scenario of how it's changed, their gender, or superior detailed information about how their breasts are so big and how they divot the underwear are sexy etc.

it could really be accepted as the details of their body's/underwear are tempting, but not when someone is seconds away from killing you. If you want character details and get a stiffy from it then this novel will seriously humor you.

the way he is constantly acting full virg*n is kinda off putting too. If you're going to describe it to the sweat stains and talk about how you're barely 'holding back' imo just do it. Quit being so 'I'm taking the high road' because even if you act it, you're not saying it in your head. Theres a surprisingly few amount of s*xual encounters for the amount of detailed information, and obvious inclination that the females around don't mind.

also... Jesus Christ. The informal formal sh*t is ridiculous. You could Probally stuff 10ch's with the MC struggling between the 2. Or some character telling him to speak informally. I understand it doesn't translate well to English. But it's over and over and just looks like there is an argument just for ch space.

now that that is all out of the way, the story is unique for sure. There are little here or theres that are incomprehensible to me. I'm not sure if it's due to the game lore, or just how the character is made. But the rest is easy to immerse in, and the characters are likeable.

the 2 real times that the s*xual plot was finally put into action to this point didn't disappoint, but after that it kinda mellowed out to where s*x is kinda just ran thru until a new character arrives but even then nothing is quite as graphic as the first. The second is about 80-90% of the first, but after that it's kinda 50% at best or skipped. And even then the relationships are kinda speed run ish. Also! Get someone pregnant! The set up allows so much 'could be' freedom!

also decide on the gender of the golden knights captain. He/she/he

That’s right, what kind of world was it these days?

If it were a case of being possessed into a novel that one had followed through to the end alone, or an author being possessed by the only reader who had followed their work to the end, it could at least be considered to have some backbone.

These days, it was a world where you could get possessed into a novel you hadn’t read, a novel you had only skimmed through, even if you didn’t leave a comment, just by looking at the cover, by filtering out works, by criticizing a novel, by criticizing an author, and even after being dragged away once and returning, a truly unparalleled treacherous world.

In such a world, being a hardcore player with 30, 000 hours of playtime? I was the perfect prey to be eyed by some terrifying entities desperate to achieve results as humans.

This is one of those kinds of novels that is going to be really polarizing and maybe even considered controversial. In terms of literature, it's wishfulfillment slop. There doesnt seem to be any real deeper themes or meaning in this story. But man... it's really well written slop. The author knows his stuff. And he does a good job explaining, describing, and rationalizing things so they all mesh together and feel coherent. The translation is excellent, the editing is flawless, and the story provides exactly what it's claiming to sell. <<less

My biggest complaint is the fact that he has to be perfect or he'll die makes it so that I never felt any tension in the combat scenes. It's combo he perfectly deflects and knows to roll out of the way of the hit that can't be deflected, slash slash, different combo he perfectly deflects, slash, different combo, etc. Because of the game mechanics and his stats, he can't make any mistakes or he'll die so well, he doesn't make any mistakes and he is perfectly confident that he'll continue... more>> to not make any mistakes. There's no difficulty in transitioning from controller to reality.

The story starts to develop some after the pig lord, but it's not holding my attention. Maybe if you're a Dark Souls or Bloodborne player you'll find more enjoyment in the description of perfect battles but I found myself skimming.

The game mechanics are pervasive and reality breaking, such as not needing to use the restroom, rooms automatically resetting when not observed, horses having unlimited stamina, etc. I imagine restrooms don't even exist in this world.

So far there's been some extreme pursuit of the MC by one of the knight commanders but he has resisted her flirtations to avoid twisting the story from what he knows. The characters are fine, but there's not much to them other than their physical descriptions and one-note personalities thus far. <<less
