Don’t Provoke the Turtle

Description

Links are NOT allowed. Format your description nicely so people can easily read them. Please use proper spacing and paragraphs.

There is a turtle here,

It’s a bandit! A thief! A shameless scoundrel!

Don’t provoke him!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It doesn’t belong to the orthodox realm of mythical creatures; it falls under the genre of Xuanhuan and Xianxia. I hope you all are aware of this.
Story is a rare find
Review updated : The translation actually becomes decent after chapter 45. So I'm changing my evaluation.
but the translation... the translation became so hard to read that it made my brain tired.
I'm actually using this novel to put myself to sleep since then. I've had a hard time sleeping this well for a few years now, but the translation somehow solved my problem.
This was so good, until the author added a ton of time BS... imo it CAN be done well, but the vast majority of the time it just destroys all internal consistency and logic. Unless there are contradictory reveals later on (which I doubt, judging by chapter titles), this belongs to the majority.
Before that though, over 300 chapters of a way better story than I expected (pretty long chapters too, many >10k chinese characters), to the point I thought it was a rare 5! I love non-human MCs, and despite... more>> the MC having a human soul, it fulfills that. No "I don't want to hurt humans" or similar nonsense, although he is a friendly turtle when not provoked.
It's mostly lighthearted and has a good amount of comedy, with serious parts too. It's the author's first real work and it does show a bit... the quality improves quite a bit as it goes imo. The family parts are great, and both small and large battles are well done.
Overall, it's worth a read. If you don't mind time stuff you'll probably love the whole thing, and the first half is great either way. <<less
