As tagged, it seemed that first translators already dropped it (chp 42 + 2 extras)... but original novel have 99 chapters + extras (memories of past) and side stories.

This smut so the novel might lacked some characters' depth but the snusnu scenes were good albeit repetitive sometimes and dog food moments were sweet.

FL (Kang Yuyi) was awoke with no memories for 7yrs. She's already the Noble Consort of ML (Li Yuanheng, the oldest son of Qin Wang Mansion and now Emperor).

I thought she time travelled or someone took over her... more>> body... but it's just simple amnesia. This incident just made FL changed her views, more honest to ML and able to correct some past mistakes especially to her kid. Her personality might be boring but she had 16yo mentality and former servant so she's doing her best to learn despite lacking education.

There not so much drama bc ML always acted immediately against dvmb villains and protected FL. Actually, he's a good Emperor, father and husband even he has doubts on FL's action. He didn't fully blame FL for her previous mistakes especially to kid. But after truth of aphrodisia revealed, solved misunderstandings and when he fell in love, he doted her solely and given her title as Empress. <<less

This is a smut story with a little plot. The plot ties in to the smut. Basically FL wakes up seven years to the future as the Noble Consort to the Emperor. A pretty high ranking role despite only being a palace s*ave 7 years back! She’s confused and unsure of what’s happening. She is from ancient times and there aren’t any transmigration or whatnot so she was afraid that she was possessing somebody initially. Then she finds out that its the same name, same past and she’s like “It’s... more>> me!” I liked this part. FL is confused as to why ML keeps sleeping with her, and ML is like “why is she so shy now when she was such a promiscuous clingy woman before??”

Thankfully FL does communicate with the ML and the ML is a doting man who seeks justice for her.

What happened to her:

Emperor’s cousin who lusted after her made FL’s coworker/traitor friend give her a potent aphrodisiac that is like a poison that can last for years!!! She’s basically be in pain if not having s*x and will be in a perpectual h**ny state. So FL escapes and finds ML and sleeps with him. She basically broke ML’s abstinence with her constant horniness lmao. ML thought FL was just a brainless s*ut but he still pampered her anyway /rolls eyes. So for seven years FL kept pestering ML for s*x and after the amnesia it seems that the medicine effect is less and going away now which is why she seems more normal.

FL is said to have hated the child and this was an issue with me and I almost didn’t want to read the story so I’ll spoil the reasons why below:

Basically as mentioned in above spoiler, FL is in a state of constant h**ny and was leaking a lot of breast milk. ML used to suck it out of her to relieve her pain+breast engorgement. When baby first breastfed, the sucking motion triggered the horniness again!!! FL got so shocked she threw baby out of her arms and baby was unharmed but it shocked baby and everyone around her. They thought she hated baby but FL just felt shameful of her body and guilty towards baby. To repress the memories she forbid people to talk about it and FL was too ashamed to see baby. After the medicine effect is less and amnesia happened, FL naturally took care of baby again. So all is well after that. That aphrodisiac poison really made it shitty for the FL..

Antagonists die quickly, issues and misunderstandings are resolved while FL and ML bang for 85% of the novel. This story heavily features ML eating the FL out. I think its the author’s kink.

When the late emperor passed away, the people aren’t supposed to indulge in pleasure, its the supposed abstinent period but FL ran to ML in the study for s*x. She tells ML to make it better and eat her. ML be like “guess if I don’t penetrate it means I didn’t break the rules!” And proceeds to eat her out like a champ hahahah.

The extras feature side couples and the babies grown up with their respective spouses.

The funny one to me was Li Kangyan, the third kid who is quiet, introverted and super rule abiding who got a book on how to do it from his dad and okder brother.

He really followed the steps one by one... which involves eating her out first till she’s ready HAHA. And initially he was like “isn’t that where she pees? But oh well it’s in the book MUST FOLLOW”

Even the driving motion was like “Do it more than a hundred thrusts” and LRY was thinking “Oh more than a 100 means 300 right?” And HE COUNTS THEM IN HIS HEAD. Hahahahahaha. Funniest scene ever in a p*rny novel.

Not a bad read. Read the entirety with MTL. <<less

If you're looking for a sweet fluffy romance but with a very hot smut then this novel is definitely something you should be reading now.

This novel ticked all of my favorite things.

Very hot and doting ML ✅

Silly soft yet sexy FL ✅

Ancient but not much politics ✅

Story focus on Romance ✅

Currently reading Their modern story which Is also good so far.

Edit: their daughter (princess kangning) has her own novel, title: wrapped in golden branch.
