The author told a fairly complete story in just 25 chapters. There were some parts I would have like fleshed out, but its difficult at this length. For example, a lot of words were used to explain why Sun Chen was cold and closed emotionally. But I never really understood why Liu Cheng was such a jerk before meeting SC. Maybe there was no real reason; some people just haven't learned humility and are the way they are.

Sun Chen just needs to find himself. He has a difficult past and it's stunted his emotional growth.

It's a quick read but still manages to get its point across. The entire novel is made so much better by a really excellent translation from Gravity Tales. <<less
