It's been half a year since reading this and at this point I don't think I'm ever going to forget this novel, so I'm gonna bite the bullet and write a review.

I am actually not much of a marvel or dc person (i've only really seen the spiderman movies and the flash series) but I feel like i've gained a new appreciation for superheroes after reading this novel. Now don't get me wrong, ngl this novel completely reads like fanfiction (which it is!) Just without the y/n bs. But its... more>> written so well I actually cried so much for Sasha (our protagonist whose name I somehow still remember) and I genuinely have not enjoyed angst this much. I'm usually an angst hater but with this novel I think it all made sense because the author is lowk goated like that. (I apologize for my genz slang). I also have to say, for a system novel, the relationship between Sasha and the system was really sweet. You can tell the system really cares for him.

Other things to say... I really liked the first arc a lot, you don't see genuinely villainous characters a lot especially the ones in this novel where its clear that they have humanity in them but their acts are so vile. So that was actually sick asff, the characters were written really nicely esp with their character arcs. The second arc is good too, in a different way. It's our reward for sitting through the angst so enjoy it well.

I always drop novels that don't interest me from the beginning and this one carried me through both arcs, I was so invested. So definetly at least try chapter one and see if it's for you :)

Also.. please don't forget there is romance.. the romance part still reads like fanfiction (but everything was written well so I didn't care at all)

I initially thought the characters would just be heavily based by canon characters from DC and Marvel, but no, I am happy to say that this is the self-indulgent transmigration fanfiction of a DC-Marvel crossover that I've always wanted ❤

It is so, so good. You can tell the author have a lot of love for the source materials, and I was positively squealing when other characters beyond those mentioned in the summary appear too, some that I totally didn't expect either, like Pepper and Nightwing.

Also no spoiler, but Flash is... more>> by far my favorite - second to the MC, Sasha, that is. Sasha is such a fun main character too. A tad typical of what you can expect from the transmigration and system genre, so nothing that 'wow' me.

Honestly, all of the characters are just really fun to read through. Yes, yes they are the 'evil, edgy' version of their canon characters, but you can tell that author give a lot of thought behind the reasoning of their actions and tied it to the source materials. While I'm a sucker for an evil character who is evil just for the sake of it, the added 'depth' definitely help sell the premise of redeeming these villains to me.

Definitely can't wait for the wife-chasing arc, I'm waiting until the translation catch up since I can't access the VIP chapter _ (:3 」∠) _

EDIT: I've now read up to chapter 67, and... holy shit. This novel is good good.

Let's just say, I've come to love Sasha with all my hearts. He deserved all the good things in this world. His relationship with the System is so goddamn sweet and fun and especially tearjerking in this one particular scene where they are unable to reach each other.

This novel is so, so worth the read. Can officially state that I'm Obsessed with this story, with capital O. <<less

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting to love this story as much as I initially expected. But Sasha’s little antics and his personality are so endearing to me. The secondhand embarrassment he gave me had me keeling over at times but the amusement I felt and the plot kept me going. I love his interactions with the DC and Marvel characters. Especially his interactions with Spiderman, partly because I love Peter and partly because their little dynamic is just hilarious to me.

Like the comment left by another reader, I love the thought... more>> the author put behind each characters reasoning for their actions, even if some seemed a little to vague (like Wonder woman). I especially like the world building, which isn’t too extreme or overly detailed but detailed enough to where you can get a gist of how the world ended up after the JL took over.

Pepper was an unexpected addition but she is such a nice addition and I love her so much, Nightwing too. Luckily Tony had a backup plan but his reactions to his evil self is so funny.

I first read this out of curiosity — novel seems to be a DC/Marvel fanfic with an OC, must be a light-hearted action novel. A few (not, I cried a bunch) tears later, I was proven wrong.

Author really created such a wonderful version from the original cast. You can see the material they built on, but they still managed to flesh out the characters uniquely, gave them their own unique traits and quirks that just fit the narrative, and created a world with these heroes and Sasha, our MC.

This is... more>> not light-hearted at all, but with the funny banter between Sasha and his system, as well as Sasha's shenanigans, I got to laugh and cry for the characters.

Minor spoilers about the story:

This novel can be divided into two parts, which is quite obvious in the summary: Sasha redeeming the world + The world redeeming Sasha. The wife-chasing arc is on the second part, and we get to see those tiny details on the first part being explained on the second part.

Sasha went to two other worlds before the hero world, and they are not really explained well, but their presence is enough to explain some plot points.

Beware of the tags. This novel really touched on traumatic themes and it was such a heavy undertaking for the characters involved. MC is quite a bubbly character, but the torture and trauma he had to endure was too much, ML deserved to suffer that much.

Nightwing. I really liked Flash during the first part, but for the second part, Nightwing stole my heart with just how kind and funny he is, and he is like the funny yet strong and supportive brother that MC really needs during the second part.

Special mention to our dog system, the friendship between MC and the system was one of the highlights in the story.

The action scenes were wonderfully written, I read it through MTL and still saw them unfold.

For the romance:

Pain. It was painful. Hahahaha. ML deserved the suffering for all the sht MC went through, so the wife-chasing arc was personally satisfying.

But also. Their love was just so painstakingly beautiful, which made the second part 1000x hurtful for me. Don't worry though, MC did not magically forgive ML. He had layers of trauma to work on first before that LOL.

While some characters are not fully developed, and some plot points were not really addressed, I'm quite happy about the ending.

Thank you for the author and the translation team for bringing this gem. This has become one of my fave novels so far. <<less

I'm in love with this novel and gonna remember this for a long time cuz this novel is just different from the many I've read before (I've been reading for 7 years now).

If any of y'all confused about reading this novel let me tell you go for it! It. Is. Worth. Every. Second. Of. It. Like no cap, if you do encounter any difficulties on continuing reading (cuz same) just power through the first arc and you're all set.

If you are not someone who reads a lot of system based novels, its gonna take a while to understand things through but as I said its worth it.

If you're a die hard marvel and DC fan................... lets just say this is basically a fanfiction so don't take things too srsly.

A minor spoiler about the warnings, cuz not many reviews mentioned it.

this novel contains mentions of depression and su*cide, and the depression part is a bit detailed just a bit, so if you get triggered by that stuff proceed with caution, its on the later chapters around 60s or 70s I guess. The reason I'm rambling about trigger is cuz I suffer from depression and those mentions triggered me, not heavy trigger tho just a shallow one

I love MC and ML, these characters are just so human like you can literally feel their struggles, their dynamic is also great. MC's dynamic with everyone is also adorable.

Also about the ending

It is a HE but the last chapter is a bit bittersweet. So if you're one those fluff endings only then stop on second last chapter it doesn't make any difference.

this is genuinly a fantastic novel. One of the best i've read in a while. The way the novel deals with the emotions of the MC and ML left me astonished. There were multiple moments in the novel that left me teary eyed and begging for more but thankfully, it's a happy ending. I have so much love for the novel. I have no words.

It's not everyday I love (or hate) a novel enough to actually log in a post a review.

But, my God.

... more>> This novel, this rare, dazzling gem I was not at all expecting to find on a random Tuesday right before my exams (yeah, great timing there World), left me in a rare emotional state.

I usually separate good novels and incredible novels based off the emotional reaction they get out of me. Good novels, whilst I may enjoy, I often forget a few days after finishing.

Incredible novels? I will be in tears of sadness or laughter (or both) whilst reading, and will remember it months and even years later.

This is one such novel. I entered it knowing practically nothing about DC/Marvel, came out of it still knowing nothing about DC/Marvel, but having read a story so powerful and so well-written, that the characters from these fandoms stood out to me like real flesh and blood.

Although I must admit I was still hoping for

a parallel universe in the extras, where we got a little action between Batman and our adorable MC,

I was still overwhelmed with the wholesomeness of the endings as shown in the posted extras.

It was so well written that I almost forgot that it was technically fan fiction, and in particular, the descriptions of the moments of our main characters' quiet self reflections left me sobbing my heart out.

Please trust me on this one.

Rare as it is to find a novel with such 3D characters (both men AND women) that also lacks the typical ChinaTheBest TM message I often see in other novels. <<less

Not a fan of superhero comics so I don't recognise a lot of them, but it didn't dampern my reading experience because wow this is good. I do wish fanfictions and original novels have seperated tags, but if I'm to be real, this deserves a place as one of the better written pieces in the danmei category.

The author created an entirely new world where Heros become villains and villains become heros. The writing left me in awe and I felt s**ked into their world. The world building was amazing, and... more>> the relationship between each character and the MC was so well thought of. Their ups and downs were tensed, their romance was beautiful, all in all an amazing work. <<less

At the beginning I wasn't planning to read this at all, I skipped to the extra About Living Together. Then from there I decided to read the whole story.

Then just from the very first chapter it got me hooked. It got me grinning and crying at the same time. As I was reading, the song "can you feel the love tonight" and it got me crying even more.

It's not pure angst, the sweetness almost melted me. I promise you, you will not regret reading this.

When I found this novel, I wasn't expecting much probably a self insert of a marvel story. I found it novel that it connected to the marvel universe specifically the injustice league so I gave it a try.

And boy! I wasn't expecting an emotional rollercoaster of angst and tooth achingly sweet fluff. This was probably the one of best novels I have ever read.

I love that the story was centered around the changes that the MC was making and wasn't a poorly written self fulfilling fantasy like one of those... more>> y/n's stories. The relationship between the ML and MC was so cute. Man this story deserves a five star. <<less

This was one of the best novel I have ever read. I actually got the wrong idea from the summary and thought the Dark Knight was the ML. I started reading with that mindset. The plot made me love the Real ML pretty much and I actually wished the real ML was the ML (I'mdumb) Anyways MC was already a fun character with every detail of his. Combined with ML they made a great couple. But you should beware because there is a slight (lie more than slight) angst around... more>> the middle. I read that part twice and cried thrice. It comes with two povs which is my favorite dish. I really like it when we see the povs from both main characters. It tears your heart with MC's pov then dice them and mix it with sauce (blood) with ML's. If you read both povs and emphatize, u can pour all the extra water from yourself (aka cry) Anyways after that here comes the healing potion. It is really sweet after that. I had soo much fun reading this masterpiece. Came for the Dark Knight, fell for the real ML Red Cape. Of course my beloved child MC (Sasha) has a special place in my heart. He is wayy too precious for this world. I just wish there were more chapters. Thanks for translating it. <<less

really shocked how good this novel was... well (closing one eye) personally, not a fan of fan-fiction, so in my mind the characters are not the well known superheroes (instead using my imagination~)

ignoring that... The story itself is hooked! Comedy is on point! Romance on point! Angst (middle) on point! (MC + ML + system + Big bro + side characters all having cute, charming personalities and different relationship developments with Mc)

honestly will recommend reading + rereading! 2000%

This story is way better than I thought it would be. I only read it because this was made by the same author of another book I really loved. I had no idea this was basically a superhero DC fanfiction until multiple chapters in.. I came in knowing absolutely nothing about superheroes in DC or Marvel or whatever it’s called, which is why I’m surprised I managed to actually read it for so long.

I thought it would be someone entirely different, but now in the last bit of the story I can tell I was misled, for sure.

im really bad a finishing books, which is the only reason I’ve quit thus far. I’m sure if someone were an actual fan of Dc or superheroes coming in, this would be even more enjoyable for them. Or maybe the fact that I had no expectations helped, idk. <<less

I thought this was going to be a story inspired by superheroes, but it really is a full on DC/MCU crossover fanfic--the best one I've read! --With a transmigrator OC as the main character. It started a little slow for me because I wasn't sure what to expect from the story, but I became absolutely hooked.

I cried real tears MULTIPLE times and I regret none of them. The author demonstrates an obvious love for the superhero source material and captures the characterizations of the wide cast of characters so well.... more>> Tiny, seemingly unimportant details from the beginning of the story become tear-jerking revelations by the end. Sasha stole my heart as well. I love his mischievous optimism and his completely steadfast determination to do what is right.

The heroes eventually all love Sasha (as they should!!) but it is not a harem style story. There's a variety of types of love and relationships, each unique and lovely in its own right. The Batfam interactions with Sasha were my absolute favorite.

The romance in this story is definitely the "it gets worse (and then even worse) before it gets better" type, but it makes the last arc of the story especially satisfying. <<less
