In the eighth year after his reincarnation, Albin unexpectedly regained his memories from his past life and realized he had been reborn into a manga. He had become a minor character destined to be adopted by a s*umbag, used for years, left scarred, and ultimately not surviving past the age of 16.

Terrified, he quickly crawled out of a burning building and rushed to find himself a new father.

He found a cold, stern man with the same white hair and red eyes as his own, and without hesitation, clung to his leg, calling him “Dad.”

But it turned out that his new dad had severe self-destructive tendencies.

Fearing that his dad might die and leave him vulnerable to being targeted by s*umbags again, Albin worked hard to pull his dad back from the brink of destruction.

From that moment on, the father and son relied on each other for survival, and along the way, Albin even managed to win over many kind-hearted monsters.

Years later, a remastered version of the manga began serialization. At the age of 16, Albin was shocked to discover that his father, the Pope, was actually the manga’s main villain—a man with grand ambitions who sought to challenge the gods and the arch-nemesis of the story’s protagonist, ranking as the top fan-favorite villain!

Albin glanced at his father, who always came home on time with gifts and took care of him.

Nonsense! His dad was clearly a kind-hearted, beautiful person with a pure and restrained nature!

And that ruthless, brutal, and violent villain—wasn’t he the one who just let Albin ride on his shoulders the other day?

That emotionally detached, sickly villain—wasn’t he the one who gently taught Albin magic yesterday?

That money-loving, profit-driven villain—wasn’t he the one who spent a fortune for Albin like a generous benefactor?

That unpredictable villain with multiple personalities—wasn’t he the one who doted on Albin like a mother?

… Why did all the friends he had won over turn out to be part of the villain’s faction?

When did he become the childhood sweetheart of the manga’s protagonist?

Something didn’t add up!

This novel was SO good!

I was attracted by the description and decided to read this novel even though it had only 8 translated chapters at the time of reading.

I immediately got hooked and MTL'd the rest of the novel. The MTL is very very readable, even the names don't change at all in the MTL and stay exactly the same which was very satisfactory.

... more>> I loved every part of this novel to bits and pieces, except for the romance maybe.

This novel is a very found-family, fluffy type of novel. The MC is adorable and literally everyone he meets either wants to be his dad or brother, except for ML ofc.

Throughout the whole novel, only MC and ML develop romantic feelings and they don't have any love rivals either, so their relationship was smoothing sailing.

Honestly, I think that this novel would've been better without the romance. The novel got pretty rushed from chapter 100 and the MC and ML fell in love wayyy too quickly and it didn't fit in with the pace of the rest of the novel. I actually think it would've been better if this novel was 200chapters long instead, it would've been much smoother and pleasant to read.

Apart from my dissatisfaction with the romance, I really love MC and his family!! Especially his father (Zeman) and his brother (Moon).

The side characters were also very well developed and interesting. Though I feel like the author got tired of

Poseidon

and didn't know what to do with him and just got rid of him hastily.

I also really liked the (platonic) relationship between Jade/Feicui and Padma.

One more thing to mention, MC is extremely sacrificial. He literally can't stop sacrificing himself smh

Another thing I didn't like is that the antagonists died too easily. Like, all that build up for what? The author definitely should've taken their time and made the novel longer.

Spoiler section-

MC's identity/origin and his biological parents
Spoiler

MC is the son of the God of Love. He actually doesn't have a father, the god of love created him solely out of her love and affection. The reason he has white hair is because when the other gods ganged up and tried to kill the GoL, MC protected his mother as an infant and basically sacrificed his life which made his originally red hair white. GoL used her power to keep him alive.

The person who turned back time-
Spoiler

it was MC's mom, the God of Love. The ML was extremely saddened by the death of the MC in the first timeline. ML, Moon, and the GoL used several Godhoods (?) to turn back time.

List of MC's sacrifices (lol) -
Spoiler

1. Sacrificed himself as a newly born infant to save his mom.

2. Sacrificed his blood for countless monsters and his family (1st timeline)

3. Sacrificed himself for Zeman (1st timeline)

4. Sacrificed himself for Moon (modern world)

5. Sacrificed himself for both Blake/Black and Zeman.

These are only the major sacrifices, the MC sacrifices himself constantly throughout the novel. He reminds me of KDJ lol

Everyone's identities (minor spoiler) -
Spoiler

Zeman- White Dragon/Pope of the Sun God temple, Moon- God of Night and Death, Raph- God of Love, Jade- Giant Python, Padma- Fox monster that can regenerate/Dionysus (God of Wine and Ecstasy), Blake/Black- Human-Monster hybrid/Container for the Sun God, Gold- homeless guy/monster/leader of info guild in both human and monster world.

[collapse]

One thing that I thought was really cute is that
Spoiler

The GoL, Raph, implied that she wanted Moon (GoN&D) to be her son so she said that Moon and MC should be brothers 🥹🥹

[collapse]
like ugh I would read the whole novel even if it was just about these 3 like they're so adorable 😭😭

Overall, you should definitely give this novel a try! It's very warming and what MC and Zeman have been through is heart breaking. Especially MC, poor baby 😭

I've MTL'd this as I was also interested, as I caught up to the latest translated chapter. (At the time of writing this review, that was CH 29)

What I liked:

    • Interesting fantasy world setup. It's reminiscent of murim novel settings slightly.
    • Characters are mostly fleshed out and have an OK chemistry with each other.
    • **Some** fighting scenes.
    • Can be slightly tear jerking. Not really, but a tiny bit.
What I didn't like:

    • Albin [The MC] doesn't really have natural moments where he shines. Only when the plot demands it.
    • The romance aspect felt weird. The problem I had was that the writer shoehorned a romance subplot and then forced its importance to the story's core storyline. Due to this, without the romance aspect, the story would no longer be able to sustain itself and fall apart.
    • The transmigration element. It didn't work well. The author already had an established fantasy world?! You'll later find out more about the MC's transmigration into the manga and it ties into heavy spoilers about Albins origins and the romance plot that strangled the main storyline.
    • My biggest pet peeve comes back to Albin [The MC]. Other characters unanimous affection for the protagonist came across as unrealistic. I'll be frank, kindness alone doesn't suddenly inspire devotion and it came across as more like idolisation.
There are some things that I liked and some I didn't.

Would I read this again? Definitely not. The story isn't completed as of currently on JJWXC [Official Platform] but I'll be dropping this. I've read enough to know how this will go.

TLDR: Give it a read first before critiquing. Who knows? Perhaps you may like it.
