It is mostly (!) sorted by how much I enjoyed it(I I finished it). To be read are at the very bottom, on hold (for various reasons ) in the middle.

You can check out Shui Qian Cheng's works, her novels are really well-written. However, all the gongs are absolute sh*ts. Each one is worse than the other but I love it *chef's kiss*

The levels of pain may vary and the time the angst last too; some may have just a few chapters or an arc of it, a little shorter, but meaningful (painful qwq) enough to be in these list. Others may have an (torture) of angst. (There is practically no dogblood-type of angst, only for a few exceptions.

I will rate them from 1-4 depending on the amount of tragedy or angst they have and how they hit (according to me, at least >.<

1 Being little (side characters tragic stories amd few chapters of pain) angst.

2 Main characters tragic past/story, etc. few chapters.

3 Several chapter or an arc of a Main or important character's suffering, physical or emotional.

4 Suffering prolonged for longer time, emotionally or physically, provoking an severe impact in the way the character sees the world and interacts with it.

Could be HE, BE or OE, however all are satisfyingly painful. <<less
