Some chinese novels are yaoi and BL so it might not suit your taste, korean novels are either out of romance aspect or depict love between a man and a woman after great challenges.

The list is not a place where I put all the alike novels in. I have chosen novels with good to excellent plot, writing and translation, in other words, they the novels I love and have praised the most out of hundreds of art-related novels out there.
