hard emphasis in my preference for sci-fi, drama, sloww romance (or none?), heavy world building, and tear-jerkers :')
but this list will have a varietyy, putting it out there- some of these are not romances at all, but all are very well written with good plots!! don't be afraid to try them out :)

side note- I have no preference towards mlm type novels, not that it matters, but it just turned out they're a good chunk of this list (probably because its quite mainstream in China LOL). its always good to expand your reading portfolio!! let me know in the comments what you think if you do read any and would like to share! <<less

Something that I'm reluctant to re-read because I know it can't be put down once started. 

Something that I think can't be reproduced even by the same author.

Stories that inevitably make you chuckle and leave you with a happy feeling at the end. The majority are comedies that made me laugh out loud repeatedly. Some are silly. Many have elements of tragedy and stress. Don’t be surprised if some of these tales engage a rollercoaster of feelings beyond a simple chuckle.

Read all tags first to make sure you are into that type of story as this list will involve a mashup of maturity levels, genres and settings.

This is not in order...

Keeping tracks of my reading list, some good, some remarkable, some dropped and some yet to pick up.

This is a list of the best translated cultivation style novels I've found. Stories from genres like Wuxia/Xianxia/Xuahuan/LitRPG are all qualified as long as they have some sort of constant power progression that characters deal with throughout the story.... more>>

Overall Considerations:

For a story to be included they must have a great prose, excellent translation, superior worldbuilding, and three dimensional side characters.

Personal Considerations:

I personally abhor evil/edgy/"anti-hero" mcs and so those will not be featured on this list. It's very easy to be selfish, immoral and evil. It's much more difficult to be kind, just and principled when the going gets tough so I find stories with main characters who have a code and stand by it the most interesting. MCs don't need to be paragon's of justice, but when confronted with difficult choices they must display some semblance of empathy and kindness in their actions.

I also love discussions of philosophy and morality and find their inclusion in the context of wuxia and xanxia worlds to be extremely interesting.

I like romance. I dislike harems, but if I have to make a choice I prefer harems to no romance.

I have a personal preference to reading male main characters.

I've tried my best to order the list in by considering both general quality of the novel itself and the personal preference concepts I've listed above. I hope this list can help. <<less

If you enjoy reading books written with care and proper thought process with well-fleshed-out characters and excellent plot development, this one is for you. 

There are some that don't only are romantic but also have some exciting batle scenes and reflection about life and it's hardships and also some philosophy that i love so much, i'm up to protagonist that have weak physical strength but have a strong mindset and inteligent...i'm also up for the strong female protagonist that can help the male lead protagonist in the story as well... more>>

i love Stories that have some hint of True History in it, but also i take a liking on some fantasy world building stories that sucks you into the story right away based on it's ambience and way of talking and writing of the writer. <<less

I prioritize stories with well written characters, well written plots, and not repetitive. If the story has that all but doesn't have the "cool" otherwordly feel that we all seek for in this novels, it will not be in here.

PS: I will not include yaoi, yuri or Female Lead novels, since I don't usually read those. <<less
