But I edit this list every time I finish reading a novel, so most of the time, the newer ones will be higher up. So the ranking is pretty biased. 
Just saying that I'm very picky and values rating (4.5 or above is usually my cut off, although there are some exceptions. OR sometimes the novel rating decreased over time)

Just keep in mind that I'm a person who if a story can make me cry my eyes out, that story will inevitably rank higher than those that are just as good, but do not have a tragic element to it. Generally, tragic stories leave more of an impression on me <<less

I think cannon fodder also have to be smart and strong enough to make the MC more likable to be honest. My biggest pet peeve is when the villains have -2 IQ. It just makes the face-slapping annoying not satisfying.
