To make quick cash, he juggles working as a call boy and as a server at a restaurant, struggling through each exhausting day.
As he grows increasingly weary—both from the self-loathing that comes with selling his body and the debt that refuses to shrink despite everything—he receives an offer from his friend Clive to appear in an adult film.
Haunted by a past outing incident, Eric is deeply fearful of others’ judgment. But after much deliberation, he accepts the offer in hopes of paying off his debt even a little faster.
Just as he’s about to begin filming, his stepbrother Gwen shows up at the studio claiming to be his guardian.
“Pack it up and come with me. I’ve paid off your debt.”
Gwen, who hasn’t been seen in years, suddenly reappears with the declaration that he’s cleared all of Eric’s debt.
“I don’t want your charity. I can’t accept it.”
Though the words should’ve sounded like salvation, Eric finds no comfort in them and rejects Gwen’s help.
“You know full well it would take you a lifetime to pay off that amount with what little you’re scraping together.”
Insisting the debt is already taken care of, Gwen goes on to provoke Eric’s pride with biting remarks.
When Eric had once desperately reached out for familial love, Gwen had coldly turned away. So why was he now extending a hand?
Unable to accept Gwen’s kindness in good faith, Eric eventually makes him a proposition:
They’ll sleep together, once, and he’ll repay Gwen in kind for the debt he covered—with his body.
A razor-sharp desire—“Do I really have to teach you even this? Where’d you pick up such vulgar habits?”—tears open a fragile heart.
“…Eric.”
“Shhh—Call me ‘honey.’”
You know, right? You came knowing it all. My worth, my alias, my desperation.
Two people already frozen solid— can they truly begin to melt?
