He’s gloomy, insecure, full of schemes, and…
System: Wait- Why is he blind?!
The system sends Ye Man to steal things from the protagonist, Chi Jue.
Ye Man aggressively tries to corner and threaten Chi Jue, only to hear the protagonist’s helpless voice behind him: “Xiao Man, let go of Mr. Xu first.”
Ye Man stiffly feels a hard chest in front of him.
Uh oh-
The system then orders Ye Man to drug the protagonist’s fiancé and get into bed with him to stir up trouble between the couple.
After much effort, Ye Man finds the right room and drugs it, only to be caught and restrained from behind.
A familiar, teasing voice says, “Drugging someone right in front of me, do you think I’m dead?”
Ye Man nervously asks, “When- When did you get in here?”
Xu Huaiding: “I was here from the beginning.”
System: 🙂
Ye Man knows he’s both beautiful and pitiable, and he’s always taken advantage of that—always managing to win people over.
The first time Xu Huaiding met him, Ye Man put on a ‘green-tea act’: he fell pitifully to the ground, clutching his left hand, crying tragically.
Xu Huaiding saw right through it, stopped in front of him, and said, “It’s your right hand that’s hurt.”
Ye Man dumbly touches his right hand and discovers a deep cut with blood streaming down.
For many years afterward, Xu Huaiding constantly protects him.
“If you want something, just say it—don’t hurt yourself again.”
It turns out, the pretty blind boy simply can’t be a villainous cannon fodder.
He’s only suited to being treasured and carefully protected in someone’s hands.
A beautiful little liar who loves to act pitiful (but is actually really pitiful) VS a powerful, high-status man who is utterly bewitched and fiercely protective of the pretty little liar.
