Often I ended up watching the drama before reading the books, which in some cases is good, some other times is actually bad as the story is more fleshed out in the drama itself.

I’m not going to give a review of the novel and/or drama it’s been adapted to, but I’m going to give a score based on how similar is the drama to the novel (and viceversa) based on what I’ve read.
⭐️ = significant changes to the story and the characters  ⭐️⭐️ = some changes to the some events in the story and the characters but main story plot is maintained ⭐️⭐️⭐️ = both the story and the characters remain true to the novel

Tragedies do not always have a sad ending or bad ending. But they are always very distressing.

I don't particularly like it when the protagonist struggled so hard to overcome so many obstacles and his (or her) end is unnecessary or undeserved tragic death. (Ooooh, if a main character dies, he (or she) must die with all the glory.)

I deal with terminal illnesses well, as they are always moving stories. T-T

Oooh, pitiful love stories and regrets... When they are a very moving story, they are just worth reading.
