What I tend to like: Strong Characterizations, Character relationships, good world building, excellent writing, great dialogue, realistic romancing (basically mature, not in hs anymore romance)

What I tend to dislike: Shounen (too formulaic and limiting on the stories they’ll tell), Harem (if not for realistic/fit into the story reasons), Romance where the reasons the characters like each other are unrealistic/wish fulfillment/s*upid (I’m looking at you, popular/hot/charismatic girl dates the wet mop of a child cause the plot needs to happen)

Current tropes I have beef with:

1. Girl was protected/saved/impressed once by wet noodle mc in early elementary school, so she’s obsessed with him in high school. Such a lazy plot device and it feels like every damn KOREAN/JP novel has some variation of this. These authors need to talk to real women instead of writing this elementary crap. <<less

I've been reading LN since 2017, I initially started with JP and then moved on to KR and CN, especially those with character names that don't appear as random jargon to my eyes (as most of the CN ones), but with a few exceptions (some KN ones).... more>>

I mostly prefer fantasy with a bit of romance on the side, but also don't mind other genres when done well. These are the ones I liked that I hope will keep you entertained.

I know that there are better or worst novels it's doesn't mean you can't like and enjoy worst novels or cliche works with plot armor,generic characters, OP MC and s*upid harem, if it's fun for you go ahead, i personally like to watch bad animes sometimes, and like some people i started reading web novels from the usual Cultivation/Xianxia/Chinese novels, after a while i was tired of the same structure and similar plot from the common chinese cultivation novels, so my taste changed and nowadays i look for other things when i try to read something.

And i do have my guilty pleasure, i do enjoy some isekai or transmigating novels that exist, even though sometimes the system or the world doesn make sense lmao.

Dont mind the number of ranking after the top 3 that actually are my top 3 ever, my favorite novels, the others their positions don't matter that much, however they actually are in the right positions based on what i like the most, but this isnt the list about THE TOP 20 NOVELS AND THERE ARENT BETTER NOVELS THAN THE ONES IN THIS LIST... or something like that. I'm not a native english speaker so everything that i wrote may have some errors... sorry. <<less
