I've reached 500 novels read (and have completed around 100 out of the 500) and I want to share my top 10's from NU and some honorable mentions!... more>>

Notes before continuing:
- I only put completed novel on the top 10, there are some novel that I think are better on the honorable mentions but it's still ongoing so it didn't make it to the top 10.
- The honorable mention is not sorted
- I don't want to spoil anything, so I will only give a short description for the top 10's

My tastes in novel have changed over the years, and there might be some novels that if I read now I probably wouldn't put on the list... but, I'm too lazy to check every one of them...

Many of these are gems, and if you came looking for something new to read I hope you find something.

1-30 will be romance (mostly rom-com) focused
Past 30 will be novels of all genres that I enjoy.

So I made a list of novels with high ratings that have a guaranteed ending I don't have to wait on! Anything interesting to me that's marked as completed or has only a few ch to go before being completed. I might eventually copy paste descriptions to make it easier to see what each one is about but rn I'm just sorting em. Theme is misc although I do lean towards romance and fantasy ^^  <<less

This list is based on my sentimentality, memories of time well-spent, of things close to my heart. Not on the novels' quality (you should still check them all out). I will try to sort them somewhat reasonably, at least.

If you think this list is missing some novels, you should cry about it in your closet. If they aren't here, I haven't read them (or liked them enough). Prolly because they got buried in my 'to read' list. (Yuusha, Aruiwa Bakemono to Yobareta Shoujo; tr*sh of the Count's Family; M E M O R I Z E, Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint; Sevens; Monster Paradise; Pivot of the Sky; Release that Witch; Reverend Insanity; The Dark King; etc.)

"Completely translated arcs" means that the series could be still on-going but you can finish reading it up to the end of an arc, so you can avoid getting blue-balled. (If you still continue reading, then that's on you!) <<less

What I mean with "early romance."

>On one hand, there is a tag on novelupdates, on the other hand, it just means that the MC or FMC confesses at the start or in the middle of the story such that there is a good portion of them going out. I really don't want to read a fluffy romance where readers are forced to continue because they wonder when the confession happens. <<less

Many have elements of tragedy and stress. Don’t be surprised if some of these tales engage a rollercoaster of feelings beyond a simple chuckle.

Read all tags first to make sure you are into that type of story as this list will involve a mashup of maturity levels, genres and settings.
