He had no doubt that he was in Tokyo, but the scenery before was strange.
Streets littered with wooden structures and barracks, no tall buildings and the wide sky visible in sight.
The only vehicles on the road are classic cars.
When he looked at a newspaper in a nearby shop———– The date shockingly showed it was 1963.
The money he has in his wallet is unusable, and the only clothes he has was what he has on his person.
The only thing in his bag is his smartphone, which doesn’t have any internet to connect to.
Can this time-traveling old man who has lost everything———– clothing, food and shelter———– survive?

- No dense MC
- Realistic portrayal of the Showa period
- Good side characters (they have their own character arc)
- Good loli (no sexual)
- Slice of Life is engaging and peeks into manga, the novel industry, and some politics.
Cons- MC is a pe*vert. He takes pictures of women without their permission.
- MC has no bottom line. This is not shown blatantly, but I feel that if he can get away from r*pe, he would do it.
- In this novel, again and again, he goes to girls who are poor and do not have money even for food, but MC goes and solicits them for s*x, like, "I will give 1000 yen; sleep with me." I don't understand this fetish; if he wants a girl, he could have gone for prostit**es.
So, for me, except MC, everything is good. So, if you are okay with MC's action or you can compartmentalise protagonist behaviour, then you can learn about Japan in the 1960s, which was surprisingly very interesting.
