Lin Shu Yin woke up to find herself transported to the 1970s, an 18-year-old high school student about to graduate.

She was worried, worried about finding a job. In this era, without a job, she would have to go to the countryside, and she didn’t want to go!

Suddenly, bullet screens appeared before her eyes:

“Seriously, Lin Shu Yin, you’re better off going to the countryside. If you go to the countryside, you won’t meet your s*umbag husband Zhou Jian Guo, and there won’t be any of the later events.”

“Sigh! Lin Erjie’s fate is truly tragic. Before marriage, her father didn’t love her, and her mother didn’t care for her. After marriage, her husband was an abusive man, and in the end, he got together with her own sister. The two of them literally drove her to death!”

Lin Shu Yin: “?”

She finally realized she had transmigrated!

She had transmigrated into a family drama called “The Lin Family Children.”

In the book, she was introduced by her elder sister Lin Da Jie to marry Zhou Jian Guo, the factory director’s son. He was from a wealthy family, and their life was pretty good at first. Zhou Jian Guo provided jobs for the original Lin Shu Yin and her younger brother, as well as a series of benefits, such as promotions for Lin Da Jie and her husband, and a large dowry for Lin’s father and mother.

But the good times didn’t last. Zhou Jian Guo cheated and became abusive, and in the end, he got together with the original Lin Shu Yin’s younger sister. The two of them literally drove the original Lin Shu Yin to death!

I took a chance even with the low rating and honestly it isn't bad. Standard for this type of novel. It moves from escaping her home life - military life - married life - college life - and then business life. With a bunch of family and friend drama sprinkled in. It's a bit chaotic and you have to suspend your belief but overall not bad. It's not quite slice of life but it mostly falls along that track.

We mostly follow our MC who accidently transmigrates into a book she... more>> read (we come to learn that due to a space time rip, she's changed places with the OG character). Her novel family primarily favors boys and so she doesn't have much relationship with them. She does end up being close to her twin brother. MC has a system and a space but it's very adjacent - it adds some easiness to MC's life but that's about it. Biggest help I would say is the occasional random livestream commentary MC gets that helps her avoid issues. There are multiple people who either transmigrate/rebirth/time travel. And many of them are tied to various novels that MC ends up having access to. Then she proceeds to change things up. That's what keeps things a bit interesting.

ML is very doting. To him MC is everything. We don't really get much character growth nor relationship growth. But it's cute. They also have a baby but it's a sidenote - mostly to just show fertility and cut back comments.

The setting is mostly in the military. MC's previous musical talents help her shine.

Were the magical space and the systems necessary? I'm not sure they added a ton of value to be frank but they had their place. Just don't expect much appearances. Honestly I thought this novel would be humorous and include a lot of bullet screen comments and system injections but it was lackluster there.

A con of this novel is that everything is written in a broader sense. It's not so detailed that it feels like a slice of life even tho we do get mostly daily living and relationships. But there's also no driving main plot that makes it feel more like a regular romance novel even tho a lot of time is spent on MC and ML's loving relationships and other people's romantic relationships.

One star is low tho. I'd rank this about 3.5 and round it up. Not bad to pass the time. But not particularly good either. <<less

I quite liked this slice of life. Agreed the golden fingers space and systems didn’t bring much value to the story, it just made everything simpler for the FL. Besides that was quite interesting to see Inner Mongolia as a location for the story.
