After a hangover, Mi Lan and her best friend Ye Qi traveled through a book together.

The good news is that they were transformed into wealthy sisters-in-law in period novels, eating delicacies from land and sea, living in a small western-style building, driving a small car, and being served by a group of servants at home and outside. It was like falling into a happy nest.

The bad news is that both of their roles are cannon fodder, one is the brother’s white moonlight substitute, and the other is the brother’s ex-wife.

The two of them put their heads together and sorted out the plot. Within three months, they will both be offline.

Mi Lan and Ye Qi looked at each other and said in unison: “Then don’t waste time, hurry up and make money!”

Mi Lan took out the spirit of 996 and worked diligently to be her brother’s substitute, which made her brother feel distressed. She stuffed thick stacks of banknotes into Mi Lan’s small treasury.

Ye Qi carried forward her career as a troublemaker, crying, making a fuss, and jumping off the building, which made her brother have a splitting headache. Piles of heavy gold and silver jewelry were put into Ye Qi’s safe.

Seeing that the money was almost collected, on the eve of her brother’s return to China, the two best friends carried a small suitcase, a check wallet, and flew straight to Hong Kong.

The Four Heavenly Kings, handsome men and beautiful stars, here we come!

The two exchanged identities and lived a life of luxury in Hong Kong, eating, drinking, playing and changing male models every day. They thought that this good life could last forever, but soon, the two brothers who were taken advantage of came to their door.

Mi Lan was forced to lie on the big bed by her brother, and her neck was numb from the hot breath. Her ears were filled with her brother’s low and hoarse voice.

“Haven’t you heard a saying? Where a man’s money is, there is his heart.”

Next door, Ye Qi was pressed against the wall by her brother with red eyes, and the man gnashed his teeth on her head.

“You took so many things from the young master, and you still want to run away!?”

By this chapter I feel fed up. Birds of a feather flock together. The best friend female leads in this story proved that. I have read some s*upid FL stories and this one shocked me a little because there were two s*upid FL in the same frame.

According to the story it seemed like they both fell in love with their spouses. And the "best friends" who could tell each other "every thing" couldn't bring themselves to accept that "for" the sake of the other person.

They were so s*upid that even though they did not to know ending of the novel they still for believed that their husbands would never be good to them. Even though there was no sight of the so called real FL of the original novel, they chose to run away with the risk of being caught. Till this point in the story nothing matched the novel that's why I say they are s*upid.

When I realised about their s*upidity, I still continued reading because it was short and I was still being entertained. But it sharply went downhill by chapter 50 or something and then in chapter 56 I couldn't bear to read a word.

The intimate scenes of the Ye QI couple always seemed like marital r*pe. But when the FL's run away and their husbands catch up to them and then have s*x forcefully, I was speechless. I don't even want to reach till the bed scenes. When the brothers were pulling them to room in anger they could have told that Ye Qi was pregnant.

I know what the younger brother did was marital r*pe at that moment. However all these trouble would have ended when Ye QI just said she was pregnant. I am not trying to justify the younger brother's actions. However when everyone blamed him for almost causing miscarriage, I feel Ye QI was equally responsible. That guy was a simp. If she just told I'm pregnant. He would be pressing her legs in a second.

This novel felt like those unnecessarily stretched 3000 chapter C-Novels but in a compressed version. When the story went downhill it became unreadable. I have lots more to rant about, however I don't wish to spare any of my time for this novel now. <<less

⚠️WARNING: Contains sensitive topics such as r*pe, ab*se, miscarriage, drugs and many more ⚠️

While the story is entertaining, I would not recommend this as Ye qi's love plot ruins the story as her love interest is the story's punchbag.

From the plot it is very obvious the main characters became gold diggers with a "justified" reason. Ye Qi kept finding ways to use his money but always with a verbal ab*se. And man was so simp that he even thought that the ab*ses was because he didn't treat her better. He even offered divorce when he realize he almost cause her to miscarry due to his anger, s*xual frustation, and girl didn't have a mouth to say she pregnant and in difficult spot. Ye Qi agreed but was very mad that he ask for divorce and so was his family for their own selfish reasons.

It was honestly tiring especially as we never knew why he like her but has an idea he most likely love the original Ye Qi, but never know she died and posess by someone else.

And yes I know there's a part where our Ye Qi confronted him that she wasn't the old her but this is same as the "would you love me if I was a worm" question.

By chapter 47 the three months was up and they tried to run away. This was short tho as they were found before they could go to US. The story on Mi Lan side was a bit better. <<less
