I absolutely loved this novel! It has just the right mix of esports and emotional drama. Since it's a shorter novel, it wouldn't make sense to overload it with esports, and the balance is spot on. The gaming scenes are written in a way that's easy to understand, even if you're not a gamer, which makes it super approachable.

The relationship between the ML and MC really drew me in. There's a big misunderstanding at first, so they're kind of rude to each other. But as things progress, you realize the... more>> MC is this little puppy who just wants love after being abandoned by the ML.

Also, if you're just "skimming through MTL, " you're really missing out on the full experience. The writing and the emotions come across so much better when you actually take the time to read it properly. Overall, it's a great, well-balanced story that's worth the read! <<less

Since there's no review currently by the time I wrote this, I wanted to share my thoughts about this novel to give people a better idea if they want to read this or not.

Overall, my rating is 3 stars. It's an average novel. I can see people getting annoyed due to the misunderstandings and no communication from the main couple. I personally skimmed over it through mtl, thus saving my mental health from getting messed up and annoyed. If you are looking for a novel for its e-sports tag, then... more>> this novel is not for you. This novel mainly focuses on the emotional side of the relationship of the two main characters with e-sport sprinkled on the side. This novel is also pretty short so do expect the pacing to be faster here, that is the e-sport portion. I feel like the relationship of the main couple on the other side basically took up the whole portion of the story and does get dragged out quite a bit making me a little annoyed. If you want to read a novel that mainly focuses on the romance and relationship of the main couple more than the e-sport aspect where it's just there for the background and not much focus on it at all really, then this novel might be for you. Or if you just have a lot of free time too spare to read this. It's an average novel at best, not particularly bad nor good. <<less

Despite the clichés inherent in this genre, I enjoyed it. It was a good balance of angst, development and reveal of secrets, and I was even immersed into the esports background though I don't usually care for it.

You can tell by the summary that there's a big misunderstanding between MC and ML, so be cautious if that's not your thing. But for me, I actually got bored in the last couple of chapters once everything was resolved, luckily the author didn't drag that out too much and wrapped it up... more>> shortly after. <<less

It's really good, there's angst at the start but it's just pure, tooth rotting fluff at the end. I advise everyone to read through all of the chapters and not skip through because its just that good.

Zhen Ning actually left because he was given a choice by some character, he didn't do it willingly. He never meant to break MC's heart and he's actually so precious

i like this author's writing style, I have read a few already and they have all been great. The MC is contradictory in what he feels and says but its just because he cares too much about the ML. He likes to save face but deep down he misses the ML dearly. The ML is your calm composed character and he quietly waited for the right time to come back to the MC eventhough he was misunderstood for so long. Very sweet once they got together.

This is actually my first review on NU but I can't just leave without saying something because this is sooo good 😭 I love their growth, especially thr MC's, and how their relationship came to be, I feel like that was the aspect that made this novel so engaging to me. A great read, definitely one of the better esports novels. While it wasn’t as fluffy as icdi or fiys, it had the perfect balance of angst and fluff, even with a sprinkle of comedy. I was prepared to dislike the ML bc I honestly hate immature manchild mls, but he was very likeable despite being straight A cancer at first. He treats the MC differently from others, and I think he always saw him as a special person, just never linked those emotions to love but rather to brotherhood. My... more>> MC has been through so much, sacrificed so much for his love, went through discrimination he deserves the best, and I think ML was the best fit.

MC didn’t want to leave, but the manager at the time found out about his differentiation into an omega and used ML as leverage to force MC to quit the club. MC didn’t want to spark ml’s temper and ruin ml’s career so he chose to be cruel to both of them and lie. ML only finds out towards the end

This story is simply frustrating. The MC (top) is petty, contradictory and annoying. (The author warns about it in advance!) He is a tsundere that always spout things contradictory to his heart and also dense to his own feeling. While at some parts, he can be honest which lead to improvement in their relationship, but next the problem is on the ML (bottom) side who always kept bottling his feeling inside, always aloof, and seldom relied for others to help - making it hard for our already dense MC to... more>> guess & understand his feeling.

Both are not being completely honest with each other, dragging on the misunderstanding to the point of frustrating to read. But luckily, after 50 chapters, the MC finally being truly honest. Ughhhh just why can't they communicate openly earlier?What I like is reading the character growth in MC part. He finally decide to be true to his own heart, and even he admits that he always say what he doesn't mean. <<less
