Out of boredom, Xu Xiao Jiao read an era book. Just one sleep and she transmigrated into the cannon fodder in it.

Why a novel is a novel? Why a novel would be always a novel? - Well, because it will never be able to be a reality!

Here, the author let you know and taste this known fact!

The FL want to be a salted fish, this thing is not a new for me in novels but here the FL is over the word salted fish from the beginning!

Please! Even in now times, which man, and a poor man upove that, would accept a fake wife who want him to do Every Little... more>> thing by himself, and serve her as a s*ave whith no return?

She wants him to do the house chors, want him to cook, want him to do the farm work for her, want him to bring her every thing to her hand - fortuntately she didn't "yet" to ask him to feed her to her mouth -, and want him to go outside to do some other "job" to earn money, and of course to act as a loving husband for her in front of others.

So he had to wake up everyday at 4-5 at the morning, before the sun come out, go to make money for her, come back to cooke for her, go to the farm to work, come to cooke for her, go back to farm, come back to cook for her and do other house choors, then sleep!

And she? Nothing! She won't do anything, she would just sat and move her mouth, either to complain or to chat or to order!

Even if they were a real couple, who would really accept this?

She said she wants to be roommate with ML, a partner, but she didn't act accordingly, she literally treated him like a free s*ave. And to tell you, he's allready like this from the first day of marrige, no, maybe even before that!

I actually didn't like the female lead at all, she is not a good thing at all.

It would be okay if she want to be a princess and be served after she has the means, but not now when everyone can't afford to do this to her!

So how could this have any resemblance of reality?

Though I don't need the novels to be a reality, but if the promise is a life similar to the reality, then it can't be too fatch far from it! <<less

I fully agree to F.M.A.H's review.

I couldn't get through the whole thing because of the MC. She's so lazy and quite selfish. She basically lets the ML do everything from chores to selling outside that's why he has to wake up 3-4am. ML gets no recognition. Even her mother and brother notices how she takes advantage of ML. She still thinks of him as roommate, no man would take this relationship as good. She doesn't give him any intimacy. Married for two years, your husband has been doing all the... more>> work (chores, farm, cook, clean, sell) and you did not have any affection after all those years??? She's that selfish!

Even when she became a tutor, ML did everything (writing lesson plans and the first textbook for farmers). She's just there to talk. I have never hated an FL in this genre before and she definitely is the first. Don't even bother reading this as something relaxing. It's not. They might as well make the ML the main character of the novel. He deserves so much. <<less

I have a good read, light read one suit for pass time.

MC is lazy and useless even author try hard to write about MC help and support ML but it's not convinced at all.

It's unbalance. ML pamper MC limitless when they're fake couple and MC just get it for granted.

For me It's pampered wife troupe novel. MC hug golden thigh (when the thigh still in the mud) when ML try to give her the best, he work very hard till I think he might die young from exhausted. It's sweet... more>> and heartfelt.

I'm fine with this type of MC, atless she didn't cheated /lie for ML feeling.

author create halo for her some kind of guiden wizard give everyone good idea.

Author write many good plot to make MC useful such as

MC take care of ML grandma and house so ML can go out to work outside freely. (She not do house work herself but ask her mother and brother do it for her)

Teach ML how to read and write, share knowledge and give some business idea.

Help ML to get comfortable job (her assistant)

give some capital money to ml.

It seem she make life easier- get rich quicker but because her laziness and her high maintenance (ML both take care of her and her family) when ML work soooo hard so it's too contrast.

And because of the marriage contract thing ML was take advantage of. (Even he willing)

Then MC play hard to get route. She ready for fall in love but author don't want her to be first to jump so MC wait for ML work hard for it.

It's really unbalance one even MC is considerate enough but she not take any real action. She's real salted fish lol

Don't know I might give 5 star if MC is the one to chase or do more /give more candy to ml. She's too lazy.😂 I don't rally mind that author let ML wait for 3 years for open meat but lt really dreg out when l must read around 60 chapters for that happen.

I think it's still normal one. Just when you pick 70's-80's work hard to get rich this kind of novel you expect to see 2 people who have hard life ho*kup and work together then have better life

this one still like that just only ML happily work hard than before to raise his wife 😂

I couldn’t find the extras so I had to stop reading at the conclusion of the main story. It’s basically just a fluff slice of life. Nothing goes wrong with the MC and the ML is super doting on her. I did like her salted fish self. But I felt like the ending left too many loose ends. Perhaps they’re addressed in the extras (which I sadly will never know). The writing is fairly simplistic and the plots aren’t too crazy. I’m still curious what happened with her OG world... more>> (which is a typical question I have with transmigration stories) and what the heck happened with her fake family. I thought they would pop up again but other than the brief mention about how her ex fiancé and the real daughter not living good lives, we never really hear anything. I thought that her (adoptive) dad would come forth at some point because it was mentioned he doted on her. Also, I thought the story would go far enough in the timeline so that MC would tell ML about all the land she bought. Anyways, it felt like a long story but also so short. <<less

Honestly, I got a little bored. The plot was ok but how it was fleshed out left much to be desired. There were good scenes but not nearly enough to captivate me. The MC had self awareness, she truly was a salted fish in every sense of the word. Given the hardships of the time period, this lazy character was truly out of place.

Finished the main story, didn't feel like reading the extras.

It's an easy, no-brainer read of MC and ML achieving rags to riches success :D A nice time killer when you want a break from reading intense plots!

It's a lighthearted novel showcasing a perfect husband. He literally does everything for MC. I don't have much complaints about this since this is obviously written with that intention. I wish the author could have given the characters more personality and dimension. They are static characters who did not really go through character development. It got a little boring as it neared the end. Nevertheless, it was enjoyable to read overall.

It is typical 70's drama with switch-at-birth trope, but it doesn't set the tone for the whole story. MC dreams of being a salted fish, so when the opportunity arises, she proposed contract marriage to ML, who will later become a billionaire.

The story itself is simple, no big fluctuations and sometimes kinda boring.
