For some reason, the adventurer boy named Ryu could not raise his level from 1 at all, no matter how hard he tried. One day, however, he was forced to take on the task of carrying luggage for a dungeon raid.

However, when the adventurers encounter a dragon in the dungeon, they slash Ryu’s legs and leave him behind. The adventurers had hired Ryu with the intention of using him as a [sacrificial stone] in times of danger.

However, Ryu’s predicament brings back his sealed memories and abilities, and he slays the dragon and returns alive.

When Ryu returns to the Adventurers’ Guild, he protests that he was left behind, but to his surprise, the guild master is also in on it.

With his overwhelming power in his hands, Ryu’s revenge begins…

If you don't already smell the Gary Stu from the first couple of chapters, just turn back. Be ready to wade through a story with absolutely no stakes. The author makes no secret that there is no real opposition for the main character and he will always come out of any given encounter on top.

There is some catharsis to be had in the early chapters of the MC getting back at everyone who has wronged him, but the sheer volume of anecdotes about how someone tries to unleash a powerful... more>> attack only to be countered by "but I had a barrier" or "I put it in storage" is groan inducing.

Also, don't expect any romance:

on top of just getting tired of humanity in general for what he goes through, MC is a dragonkin and feels no s*xual attraction to humans.

I stuck it out for quite a while, and volume 3, "The Capital Arc" is where everything just kinda falls apart. So many problems get started and solved that any given problem is introduced and solved in a matter of 2 to 3 paragraphs.

The part where the story really jumped the shark was when MC's village gets destroyed with no survivors (killing a few characters that were central to the first couple of volumes with little fanfare) and a chapter is spent with the MC rewinding time to save the village, only for the next chapter to explain "Well yeah the MC saved *that* village but due to time causality shenanigans all he really did was create another timeline: he still has to go back to the timeline where everybody's dead so the story can continue." Also, the situation with the royal family just continually shitting the bed ends in the logical conclusion of the MC just deciding to wipe his hands of the nation entirely to travel the world, but the next volume starts with him starting over at another adventure guild where people immediately start picking fights with the new loser F rank newbie.

I only have myself to blame for getting this far in and not turning back. I am baffled at how the COO status says it's at 664 chapters and still going. Save yourself the trouble and don't bother with this one. <<less

Not sure who is target audience for this novel. MC is cold in revenge, but there is hardly any cruelty or gore or slowly destroying enemy or mind plays or anything characteristic of revenge story, so it's hugely unsatisfying. On the other hand, there is nothing else going for this novel, no interesting plot, no interesting characters, no MC development, no world building, nothing.
