To that other reviewer, get your high and mighty ass out of here. The novel title clearly states it and the synopsis clearly explains the content you'll find inside. You knew what you were getting into. It's like going to a funeral and being surprised everyone is dressed in black.

Haven't personally read too far into the LN, but that other review baffled me enough to write one. You clearly went into the book already hating it, so why read it? And then be not so surprised you hate it? Baffling.... more>> Anyways, I do like that Ichigohara knows she's an awful person for having these types of feelings for her student and she doesn't sugarcoat that to herself. For Togawa, it feels to me like she initially views her as some sort of kind mother figure she wishes but never got to experience at home, which then slowly morphs into something else further along the way. I really like the gradual progression between the two characters into the second half of the novel where lines are crossed and I can see why this author is highly regarded. <<less

Read about half of it, it's terrible, it reads like some weird pe*verts fantasy.

I'm not saying that it's bad because it's sexual, I'm a reader of 'story about buying my classmate once a week' but there is clear difference between the two.

I'm honestly both amazed and disgusted that this novel was written by the same author that wrote Sayaka and Adachi and Shimamura.

It's very sexual, the ''romance'' doesn't exist, essentially the MC is just very thirsty for having s*x with an underage girl but refuses to admit it to herself... more>> and is unconscious of it.

The author tries to make it seem like there is anything genuine between the two by making a whole set of chapters about how they get to play catch ball together.

Sounds familar ? that's because that's essentially the beginning of Adachi and Shimamura but with catchball instead and written worse.

Why catchball ? Isn't the 2nd female lead a highschool student ? Who knows... Looking back I decided to ignore that part and thought ''well it's a bit strange but we will see''.

It really felt like Iruma wanted to re emulate Adachi/Shimamura but couldn't find any other sporting activites to make the two MCs bond, it just ends up being forced and strange.

The second female lead has issues at home, there is about 1 chapter and a half total addressing those, these are then used to further try to make it seem like there is something between the two leads.

There isn't, it feels forced, it felt like the author had to force himself just so he could make his novel appear less pe*verted than it is and keep the romance label relevant.

I reached the s*xual stuff and all it did is made me feel dirty, I felt like I was reading p*rn and the stuff that I read wasn't even that graphic, that's how terrible it was. I have never felt so dirty reading a novel before.

This same author also congratulated the author of 'buying my classmate' for their light novel last year or so, and this made me think...

I have or had absolutely nothing against Iruma, Adachi and Shimamura remain one of my favorite novel that he has wrote but for this one it seemed like he read 'Buying my classmate once a week', saw that the s*xual aspects of it were very good and wanted to do something similar but completely forgot that the s*xual aspects were good because of the romance and genuine love and interest between the two characters.

He tried to emulate that love but completely failed, it reads like the type of stuff you would see on scribblehub

Edit: that's pretty harsh to say, for Iruma that is, but I think it's somewhat accurate

If you don't enjoy those pointless things steer clear, all it will do is leave you feeling dirty.

If you expect anything close to Buying my classmate don't bother, it's not even close it reads like a terrible attempt at it or similar.

The main character is like a projection of the author at times, the 10 years gap (which I have nothing against) doesn't help the feeling of filth that I get when I read this novel.

The strange sensation that... ''something weird was going on with the author'', Iruma was very h**ny when he wrote this to put it mildly.

At the very least, the general writing, the dialogues are all very natural so that's maybe 1 star worth.

If he wanted to write a set of dialogues about an adult woman fondling a teenage highschool girl he could've just done that without any pretense of romance, the many (there are alot of them) descriptions of how highschool girl smell nice (The distinct smell of highschool girl. HUH???, yes that's a legit line), how their legs look nice under their skirt ect...

The fact that one of the side character tells the MC that she loves small girls with large breast (I won't spoil but it gets worse on that part).

There are many little signs like that, the little signs that make you think ''Was the author projecting him/herself in this novel or are those real people ? Is he or she really trying to write something interesting or just... p*rn ?''

Some people will then think ''that's just how it is in japan, it's more open and different'' I'm sick of hearing that, it's just gross, a teenage girl doesn't smell any different from the shampoo she uses for god sake, beyond the surface all of this reads like obsession and if you were to make a normal somewhat healthy average Japanese person read those things guess what ? He or She would probably also think it weird and gross too.

But it's getting beyond the point, my review might be a bit biased because I know the author and have read some of his previous works.

I'm quite disappointed by them. <<less
