Not sure why this novel is rated poorly. Overpowered MC is right in the title, so not for those who hate overpowered MCs.

I think the translation is excellent (barring some pronoun confusion at times that seems to be a common issue when translating from Chinese). The story is interesting to me and I think it is worth reading. The relationship conflict between the MC and SO is interesting.

Not necessarily a bad story, but extremely not to my taste.

It's the usual urban setting with perhaps some supernatural elements (hinted at, but tags say none). The usual tropes with face slapping, rich guys, gangsta, fighting.

What I can't stand is the protagonist. He's such a simp it's killing me just reading this. It's kind of understandable given his backstory when it comes to the woman he graped, but still it's very apparent that he thinks that it's normal to chase chicks like that, and I'm very upset having to read... more>> this sort of nonsense in almost every chapter.

I won't grade it, since I barely scratched the surface with 15 chapters, but if I did, it'd be 1 star. <<less

1. The transition of storyline and scenes in this novel is very jerky and slightly incoherent.
2. They definitely did not need to repeat how the ML is strong and the FL is virtuous in every scene. Everytime I read those sentences, I was like, " yes yes we know can we move on now"
3. I can see why the rating is so low for this. They have made the FL character too weak. I can understand that she is a SA victim but that cannot be the only defining phrase for a character. It could have emphasized how she is a mother who really loves her daughter. But they made her a doormat without any opinions of her own, easily controlled by her relatives
