Ha Si-heon is a brilliant but obsessive Wall Street financier who has built an immense fortune driven by a fear of financial insecurity. After enduring a tragic childhood, losing his mother, and navigating financial ruin with his father during South Korea’s 1997 financial crisis, Si-heon immigrates to the U.S. He fulfills his father’s wish by becoming a doctor but finds himself drawn to the lucrative world of Wall Street.

At a top hedge fund, Si-heon leverages his medical expertise to dominate biotech investments, thanks to an unusual ability to predict successful FDA drug approvals. He amasses wealth quickly, yet struggles with a pathological fear of spending money. His relentless pursuit of profit takes a dark turn when he’s diagnosed with idiopathic multicentric Castleman’s disease (iMCD), a rare, life-threatening immune disorder with no cure. His condition worsens despite aggressive chemotherapy, as the lack of research funding for this “orphan disease” leaves him without options.

Just as Si-heon faces death, he miraculously awakens to find himself transported 10 years back in time, to the beginning of his career on Wall Street. Realizing he has a second chance, Si-heon is determined to not only reclaim his wealth but also amass enough money to fund a cure for iMCD. The story explores themes of greed, ambition, mortality, and redemption, as Si-heon seeks not just to survive but to redefine the meaning of his life.

i’m surprised there’s no reviews already because so far this has been a banger series.

The MC is focused and driven. He’s extremely smart and doesn’t mess around with the chance he’s given.

So far there’s no romance and I like it to stay that way. I normally don’t like romance where the MC is a male but surprisingly I think I would still keep reading it even if there was. That’s kind of big for me because I’m normally a hater.

A big reason why I think that I would be OK... more>> with it is because so far all of the female characters that have been portrayed well in my opinion. They aren’t just dumb airheads or fan service which I really appreciate. They are smart and have their own drive and don’t need to depend on the MC at all.

I love strong independent woman.

overall I would definitely recommend giving this a read!! <<less

It's the first regression investment novel I've read where the MC actively utilizes future knowledge and doesn't just passively wait around for events to unfold naturally.

He's not bound by the future. He doesn't care about butterfly effects. He uses anything he can for the sole purpose of earning money as quickly as possible coz his life quite literally depends on it. And turns out that's entertaining as hell!

It's not just an 'invest in bitcoin' type of novel. It introduces the world of high finance.
Spoiler

MC breaks companies, hedge funds, even countries, earning billions of dollars in the process.

[collapse]

I found the start of the novel (mostly the introduction) a bit slow but once it got going, I simply couldn't put it down.

Those who are even slightly interested in reading finance/business related novels will find this story to their liking instantly. Personally, I would rate it on par with Reborn Rich and leagues above Past life returner (even just comparing the finance stuff).

Great novel so far, at least for people interested in finance. It's simply a few floors above similar novels with "reincarnator investor" trope in quality of details, plausability of actions, complexity of characters and storytelling (and I did read a bunch of them).

Main character's constant drive to achieve his set goal in set time keeps the story together and prevents it's derailment. He is shrewd and manipulates his allies and opponents constantly, but that battle of wits is written really well. To the other characters he doesn't seem like a... more>> villain, just a callous, calculative and selfish little devil/hero. To me as the reader his actions and inner thoughts speak volumes of his desperation to survive.

Overall I must say the author have a decent understanding on the topics included in this work, so it's not just superficial hearsay and "as seen on tv" material. There are no simple answers to the problems protagonist faces, no misconceptions about the work he does and no s*upid resolutions.

Recommending it for people wanting more authentic and less wrongly conceived, yet highly eentertaining take within "reincarnator investor" genre. <<less

It's on while other tier. The MC as a character is very distinctive. The dude has the gift of gab and ways to manipulate the truth to his liking.

I was constantly surprised by how well the book was written. In most books other people are mostly dumb for the MC to show how clever he is. In this book, characters are smart af.

It is based on real world, so author cannot hide behind fantasy. But the novel still remains believable.

Kudos to the translator. I have rarely seen such perfect translation... more>> quality. Keep up with the good work. I donated for advanced chapters, to support the translator. <<less
