Why is everyone in this novel so dumb? And why are they all yelling all the time?!

MC transmigrates and immediately starts yelling at everyone and everything. Calm down guys, inside voices please.

I can't remember which chapter I was at before I gave up on this novel, I got tired of the overall s*upidity and MC patronizing everyone. Half the time it's just MC going "trust me, I'm a doctor, " and people go, "oh, okay then." What??

Hm this is not my cup of tea. Usually I love mpreg and farming danmei but I can't fathom this one. MC was so unstable and quite s*upid as a surgeon transmigrator. Like, he ignored the people's opinion when he's giving medical advices. And I don't understand how the MC can stay in his ex-husband's house even for only 5 days. Don't they say the ancients are most afraid of tainted reputation??? There's a lot of holes, and the story flow is not as smooth and you'll think there's something... more>> missing somewhere, or it could be expanded to make it more make sense.

However, I like the ML Wu Dahu and the MC's ex-husband. The ex-husband is more shrewd than the ML and can sense MC is different or replaced. While ML treats his husband with utmost sincerity but with inferiority because of his childhood. At this point, I think Wu Dahu is the one who much more deserves to be the MC lol. <<less

The story actually irks me since the beginning. The MC is really naive and tactless. But still I persist around ch100 the story got really nice but it downgraded again.

PROS

• MC and ML are not OP

• The medical history setting actually has a basis, I was surprised, but they alter it a lot, making it so different from the real history. Actually making it nonsensical.

• MC is way too kind. He helps anyone, I mean it's good, but he still helps even of the price is his family's safety. I don't know if it's a pro since this point actually irks me, but well kidness is still good.

CONS

• The story is repetitive, they just change places but the plot is the same each arc.

• Every arc someone wants to marry the ML. How attractive the ML can be, he's always flocked by bees and butterflies.

• MC also has suitors but the are kind of subtle, except for the exhusband.

• The villians are really infuriating. Kind of 2D characters.

• MC always try to make money, building shops or buying lands everytime they move, but after the arc finish and they move again he closes or abandons his shop rather than hiring other people.

• This is the major point why the story irks me, MOST OF THE PEOPLE MC CURES AND HELPS, ALWAYS BITES HIM BACK. THEY BRING MAJOR PROBLEMS TO THE MC AND ML.

• So much on the evil side of tye humans, it feels like MC's circle are the only decent one in the whole world.

• MC is really a busy buddy, eventhough people don't want his help, YES THEY DON'T WANT HIS HELP, THEY SCORNED HIM, yet he barges in and do what he wants, dear that's not medical ethics, you are just a busy buddy.

• I believe in the principle that you don't need something in return when you help, but still it irks me that most of MC's work goes unrewarded sometimes even unrecognized. Not to mention, all the people he helps brings danger to his and his family's life.

• The baby scenes are just fillers, kost of the time, the baby is in the hand of the maid or his apprentice. I know he tries to be a good father but he always tries to help anyone that even compromise his family's safety. Rather than making a safe environment for the baby to grow, he would rather go to war excursion to escort the princess he thinks that is pityful.

• Unsatisfying faceslapping, all the villians goes unscathed. He just let them go, and let other people punish them or just verbal talks.

Good novel at first! But I eventually get disappointed due to drama and slightly selfish MC's action. It's not wrong to protect yourself for the status of the only wife but for the expense of other life it's annoying, ... more>>

There is no ger here. The MC is not a ger (ger usually have red moles). But a male capable of giving birth. To distinguish their s*x, they have a a lightly narrow and line on their waist or tummy?? (forgot if it is tummy or waist). So basically only the person itself and the parents know one's identity. Other distinguishing factor is the body size (not applicable all the times).

I like the relationship between ML and MC. I also like the ex-husband of MC, he was really good! unlike the usual BL novel where the "ex" is a bastard. Felt bad for him since he lost the original qinghan. He was eventually blackened in the capital.

One of the flaw is the vaccination. Vaccines are non pathogenic yet the MC used an active without deactivating it. 😅 Some of the medical practices here have flaws... will probably drop <<less

The novel is as the summary. MC died and woke up in a new world with a big belly HOWEVER unlike the other transmigrations he doesn't have the memories of the original soul. So with the time and especially ML 's help, he will get to understand his situation and circumstances.

I am only at chap 121. Both MC and ML left the village and are in the capital. Things were looking up for them and also they have finally established their relationship, Woohoo.. I was so happy!!!! But... more>> there is currently an annoying man who is disturbing ML and using ML's poisoning matter to create problems between them. However don't worry, ML is currently running after MC to get him back.

One of the things I love about this novel currently is ML Wu Dahu.

ML is the perfect husband anyone can wish for! He is matured, gentle not overbearing, and very sweet.

For example he hold MC's cold feet and knead them at night in his hands for MC to sleep comfortably. So sweet *_*. And his love confession is so heartwarming, I was smiling through the whole time

He is also a bit of an henpecked. However he is NOT a puppy seme/gong. He a bit henpecked meaning he just listens to MC and IF he is right then he agrees; but he is not a puppy or low self-esteem BF! That's why I love him so much (I am not really into OVERLY Puppy Seme/gong or Low self-esteem or completely doggie no self respect annoying ml; you should have a bit of backbone when needed) and this ML is the right recipe with all the right ingredients. He is such a hubby material.

I also like MC as well, he was a surgeon in his past life so in this life with this abilities he cure and help people if the need rises. He is matured, kind and calm (haha he even helped himself in his baby delivery, he is such a badass) .

Currently their little bun is just a baby, I can't wait for when he will start to talk for real. This a slice of life the novel is going on day by day so I guess it will take a bit of time for that maybe.

Anyway... It is well-paced, filled with medical cases and stuff, little mysteries that will reveal themselves later and It is so relaxing. I have just finished my exams and this novel is just what I need to heal myself from all the stress. <<less

I can't really give this novel a review. The synopsis sounds good, but for good's sake, I absolutely hate flying lines translations. I've paid for it, and I feel so fuc*ing angry that I was giving money for such a poor translation. They even cut chapters in two, three or even four parts just for you to pay more. And yes, you can see videos to unlock chapters, but just once daily and most of the time the feature doesn't even work.

Some of the logic doesn't make sense, the ex-husband essentially got cuckolded yet everything he does seems as if he doesn't have a reputation that's tarnished at all. The other reviews have talked about how it feels a bit s*upid logic wise and I agree, I don't get how the MC (even if he was a modern man) wouldn't understand propriety staying with someone else is inappropriate, and he is always uncomfortably swinging between the lines of defensiveness and naivety in regards to others/dangers. I know it's supposed to come... more>> across as MC being somewhat smart - but the way he is so careless with anything and lacks any tact when conversing with others sometimes is a little unbearable. It makes you not want to root for the MC because he's a bit unlikable in his selfishness and hypocrisy. The misunderstanding stuff of the plot is a little cheap, I feel like everything is very frustrating without a sweet/equally satisfying vengeance.

Overall, I think the world building/logic is what's lacking and why everything else feels a little s*upid, if the reasoning of the characters doesn't seem to be in consideration of the situation/world/society they're in- it can make it all seem juvenile and bring down the importance of the problem. Other than that, I think the translator did a good job if you're not too bothered about a few weirdly placed colloquial dialogue -- honestly seeing a few 'true dat' and 'OMG' in the speech of the character cracked me up a bit, but if you mind it this is a heads up. <<less

It is a good story

Unlike most one in this era this guy is a doctor but instead practices western medicine.

That was different and novel. He made his own scalpel and perform countless surgery and her at disease such as small pox.

I dropped it afterwards cause it got repetitive and they story lost it's charm after the Capital Arc.

The title lies there is no farming in this novel as far as I read

I thought it would be wholesome slice of life full of fluff but instead I got repetitive MC save life but instead of thank you he got... the person MC saved is bad guy that trying to destroy their married life! no satisfying faceslapping then they move out of city and it repeat

I skip it trying to see the end but it still the same drama I'm glad I didn't finish it

The first chapters are fine... until the storyline reached the part where the ML has been put in the prison and the MC's short sightedness strikes and agreed living with his ex-husband for 5 freaking days. It's getting infuriating that I wanted to drop this novel because the MC was worst than Idiot. Say he's good at being a surgeon but his short sightedness and irrationality? Bah.

The villain's IQ are all offline bzzzt. So childish. Repeatable reasons.

I stopped because I got so annoyed. Then I read some spoilers and it looks like all the people MC treats just brought back unnecessary problems. And I start to dislike/start to get really really annoyed if I feel like sone unnecessary plot scenarios are being brought up. Like there are plot scenes in the story that I felt are not realated to the main story at all not even a side story so it was kind of a bore reading it. What's more the characters and the people's judgement... more>> are just so flat and ridiculous at times that it became really annoying. And sometimes I feel like the existence of their kid isn't really being acknowledged mostly in the story. I would love to know how this story goes/ended but I guess I would just read some spoilers.

Fudge....i tried reading this AGAIN from the start and still couldn't endure to finish it... haiiiiii..... it have the potential it just that the scenes was too simple in my opinion sorry I dont know how to explain... its like after reading a 5 star novel and have to endure a 1-2 star novel that's how this novel is like in my opinion...... this aint the first time i've read novel with similar genre as this but its a bit worse than others.....

One thing, I'm very much traumatic with how the ger gives birth here. It's not the conventional way, but a..... new alienatic way which made my mouth go 'O' and scared me when I read it.

And second, the element/route of this novel are varied. First we have the living poorly in village, dealing with love rival, then turn into merchant business in town, powerful family trouble, then searching for magical herb while destroying evil opium dealer, curing smallpox... more>> which I doubt the ingenuity of the whole process and what I'm reading now is the martial arts tournament/exam route. It making me kinda confused of where and how the author wanted to take this story.

Well, this modern doctor is very optimistic with his new life. I'glad that the auhtor didnot take the OP route for MC. As modern surgeon he didnot understand how to diagnose in ancient way, so he didnot take the doctor route to rich himself. Instead he took an apprentice, teach him his knowledge, and make the apprentice to learn hte ancient way and tell (teach) or discuss it with him together.

First, they're in the village, the conflict was very village-ing, with villagers, with MC's ex rich husband. But then, ML wanted to go to the martial art route to rich themselves. The martial art here is like the scholar route in the normal ancient years, to be hired in the capital and so on. So, ML and MC went to do business whenever they're in town, and when they moved out because ML needed to take the exam in new town, they'd go there and open new business too. <<less

The story was quite fun, it dragged a bit around the early 300’s but concluded nicely (though personally I would liked a few more extras of the epilogue).

I will say though that the title is half misleading. I mean where is the farming-life part aside from the itty-bitty beginning. I’m also quite miffed that until the end, Song Qinghan never seemed to have the intention to remedy his lack knowledge of medicine in ancient times. Though in the epilogue, it seems like it didn’t matter if he did or not. It’s sweet though, so I can forgive everything with such an HE conclusion

ML are indeed doting on MC. I prefer the ending on c326 but the one in modern era is good too.

man, I haven't been this dissapointed in a character in a long while. Wu dahu is probably the only character I genuinely like in this novel. MC is incredibly selfish and s*upid.
