“You’re useless now. Get out of here already!”

Aroze, a Trainer gifted with the rare ability to boost the growth rates of others and provide versatile support magic, brought their hero party to max level in just three years. However, once the party decided his skills were no longer needed, they unceremoniously kicked him out.

Brokenhearted, Aroze returns to his hometown—a starter town for rookie adventurers—and decides to live a quiet, low-profile life. But one day, a young girl knocks on his door.

“Please, make me stronger with your Trainer skills!”

The girl is a fledgling adventurer rejected by every party due to her slow growth rate. Feeling sorry for her, Aroze reluctantly agrees to help. To his surprise, the girl turns out to be an extraordinary talent who grows at an astonishing pace, rivaling even the heroes, with just a bit of his guidance.

Soon, word spreads, and other rookie adventurers with ridiculous potential start flocking to Aroze for help. As he trains them and helps them overcome their limitations, his once-quiet life turns into something entirely unexpected, earning him the title of The Starter Town’s Trainer.

Meanwhile, the hero party that Aroze raised to max level but failed to properly train in actual combat ignores his warnings and recklessly challenges the Demon Lord’s army—only to face utter devastation.

Like all betrayal novels, this started with our sopping wet noodle of an MC being unceremoniously thrown out of his pack of moronic heroes like the tr*sh he is. Unlike those same novels, there's no revenge or even a hint of it in sight. We're nearly 4 volumes into this, and literally the only reason I ever give these shitty power fantasies a go has yet to even be hinted at.

Now I'm aware this novel doesn't have that tag, but it does dedicate the entire last paragraph of the synopsis... more>> describing how the traitorous fools destroy themselves. We haven't gotten even a single chapter switching to their POV going into detail about how great the MC was and that they regret giving him the boot. It's just a diary of a generic "nice guy" doing "nice guy" things and building up his harem, and as a known hater of harems, that's always my least favorite part of these novels. I genuinely don't know why I've stuck with this novel for this long, but I'm definitely tossing this into the dumpster now.

If you come to this novel expecting anything from the first and last parts of the synopsis, just go somewhere else. If you're here for what is quite possibly the literal millionth generic beta JP MC write a poorly detailed diary of his mundane life, I'd personally recommend you go see a therapist, but this is just barely passable for you. <<less

It's so... generic. Like, I've read this story before. Not that I read this specific novel, but this novel follows the genre to a tee.

It starts out exactly as you expected. MC is kicked out from the hero party cuz they're jerks who can't understand his potential for some reason. He goes back to his hometown and starts as a newbie with the support of a receptionist acquaintance. Even though he's depressed, MC helps out a girl who struggles to level up and they enter a bet with the girl's... more>> ex-party cuz they're jerks who were causing a fight for no apparent reasons other than being jerks.

This was all in the span of 10 short chapters. I'm not gonna read the rest cuz it's probably go like MC trains the girl, they win the bet, girl's ex-party go wtf and offers to let her rejoin but she refuses, repeat formula for another girl, all while the hero party suffers cuz they kicked out MC.

Then again, I could be wrong, and if so and it does get better, please enlighten us. I can't bear to read this when there are other novels that does this better. I expected maybe a light but fun read, but what I got was boring with no hook. <<less
