I feel like this book could have been entertaining but the plot literally goes nowhere in the 77 chapters I've read. The main character is indecisive, hypocritical, shameless, and unambitious. These things can be written well in a book but it definitely isn't done well in this book. The way his personality is laid out makes the MC infuriating to read about. If it felt like the story was going somewhere or the MC was making progress on literally anything, I wouldn't be so irritated. But he hasn't progressed on... more>> cultivation, barely any relationship progress, he doesn't explore anywhere outside of his sect except once going to his fiances sect or it vaguely saying he had just gone down the mountain for something and came back.

All of his exploring was done before the start of the story before his cultivation was damaged so we even got robbed of any of his earlier journeys. They're occasionally mentioned but barely if at all delved into.

I skipped ahead to see if there's any progress with his master in the latest chapters a couple hundred chapters ahead and

they're just now in the latest chapter getting closer-ish (doing tame pervy things) but they still seem to be walking on shy eggshells around each other. I.e. The MC still having to sneak kisses while she sleeps

77 chapters may not seem like a lot to be able to judge a book but the pacing in this book is literally almost non existent. I felt like I was standing in place not being able to move forward. That's how bad it was.

I'm sure some people will like this book but as much as I almost did, I just cannot let go of my gripes with it. My gripes are so glaring they destroy whatever goodwill I almost felt reading this. <<less

You should read review by BlackLagoonFreak just wanna add something This novel should be really good and interesting story if author can write well on balance between Cultivation side and romantic story for each heroine as of now I have read there are 3 heroine (His master, His Fiancee and junior sister) although at early story u will be given MC who is idiot and indecisive but later he will progress his romantic story for each heroine except his master

but what killed the novel is that cultivation side with no progress at all his still cripple and cando sh*t about anything even the author present the MC as op with max limited talent and yet he can only rely on his body cultivation just for fight this make me so frustating and give up

the final nail on the coffin is that later there is evil cultivator wo is refining GU (insect) and became so strong that make the story completely ridiculous from 2nd stage cultivation to 6 stage cultivation (foundation building to refining emptiness) and MC decided to fight with help some "Immortal" at the cost his lifespan became few years left only just because "my master is The Righterous cultivator"

I wonder what kind mess up is this if the author can decide to redo cultivation instead make cripple all time it gonna be more interesting for broad taste of readers but he decided to make story focus on romance and yet even that side still frustating some degree for people. I read at mtl so there is some part is vague but better dont read this novel if u decide to read make little expectation cause it gonna dissapoint you <<less
