Description
Links are NOT allowed. Format your description nicely so people can easily read them. Please use proper spacing and paragraphs.Qiao Muyu was good-looking and academically outstanding. He seemed perfect in every way, yet he was a hopeless late-stage top student addict.
On the surface, he appeared calm and indifferent, unfazed by praise or criticism, lazy and laid-back. In reality, he studied like his life depended on it and had long dominated the top of the grade rankings.
Until his third year of high school, when his throne was usurped by an unremarkable transfer student. From that moment on, he was demoted to the perpetually frustrated runner-up.
Outwardly, Qiao Muyu remained polite and composed. “Being top of the grade? I’ve never cared for such empty titles”
But inside, he was cursing up and down the street. “Damn it, I will reclaim every bit of glory that belongs to me”
One day, he overheard a friend gossiping. “That couple from the next class, xxx and xx, just got caught for dating. No wonder their grades dropped so badly recently. Dating really does affect academic performance!”
Qiao Muyu slapped his thigh. “Brilliant!”
That top-ranked boy didn’t even look like he had ever held a girl’s hand. He was so pure he could drip water. If he fell in love, his grades would definitely fall apart!
Just a teenage boy with hormones. I’ll make sure he drowns in the sea of love and can’t get out!
So Qiao Muyu stayed up all night researching love letter techniques, then wrote a letter so heart-fluttering and tearjerking that it could make anyone’s heart race:
“Lu Zhen, I like you. Please go out with me.”
Lu Zhen nodded. “Okay.”
Qiao Muyu: Eh? So quick?
Wait, why does something feel off
Never mind. I’ll trick him into falling head over heels first.
—
The thing Qiao Muyu regretted most in his life was tricking someone into dating him back in high school.
His second biggest regret was not burning incense and praying before submitting his resume. Only after starting the job did he realize that the newly appointed supervisor in his department was none other than the ex-boyfriend he had slept with and then heartlessly dumped.
Terrified, Qiao Muyu submitted his resignation letter that very night.
His best friend tried to console him, urging him not to throw away such a great job opportunity. “So many years have passed. Whatever bad blood there was between you two can be resolved!”
Qiao Muyu looked like he’d lost all hope. “It can’t be resolved. The reason I gave for the breakup was way too cruel.”
Best friend: “What did you say?”
Qiao Muyu: “I said he was terrible in bed.”
Best friend: “…”
