Finished reading via MTL.

After I Blocked My Crush is a pretty short and light-hearted novel overall. It only has 28 chapters and 1 extra, with the story being pretty simple and linear. It mainly tells the story of Lin Xia, and how he managed to catch the attention of his crush, Yi Shang, thanks to the messages he sent after blocking him. There are some flashbacks, but they're just your typical supplementary scenes (so remember not to skip through them). Just a quick warning, though, that these contains themes of h*mophobia and bullying, especially in the flashbacks that focus on Lin Xia's high school life. <<less

It's a cute, amusing short story. The main reason I haven't rated it 5 stars is that we missed out on a lot because it was so short. It felt a bit rushed, and it would have been so much better if it was fleshed out.

I quite like the MC and ml. My favourite thing about the ML is that he claims the MC is "pursuing" him, but he has to take the initiative to get the MC to do anything that could be considered "pursuing", because the MC... more>> has no intention of actually chasing a straight guy.

I think the drama at the end is a bit redundant.

The confession though... I absolutely love the confession. Its so awkward and so sweet and so real. One of my favourite confessions that I have read so far.

Overall, it's good but missing a lot that could have been covered if it was a longer novel. <<less

it’s currently 2:17 am, I have to be awake for work at 7 am but I started this book at 1 am and just finished it!!! Soo cute, our ML loves to tease our MC. The flashbacks of how our MC fell in love with the ML is so damn heartwarming and cute!!!

I devoured it so quickly. I wanted more extras. It's very cute! MC (Lin Xia) is smart, shy and brave. ML (Yi Shang) is a love brain, provocative and narcissistic. His friends are also funny and good. There are some angsty flashbacks, but MC is very strong mentally.

AHHH really sweet!!

Lin Xia, who has a crush on Yi Shang, ends up blocking Yi Shang and expressing his feelings without knowing that his messages will be seen by the person he blocks.

I like how the story goes, short and sweet. Glad that Lin Xia has many friends supporting him in uni!

The premise is funny and really interesting. The ML and MC are fun characters along with their friends and other characters, some of their dialogues are really touching and funny at the same time. The story is simple but the writing and translation gave a good job on delivery, it is easy to digest. My favourite character is xuejie lmao I like her attitude. I originally thinking that the MC and ML are one dimensional character but for a short story I think not.

The ML looks shameless and cool guy but he's actually cute and self-conscious in the inside he's also a green flag I love how he always ask for mc's permission and is considerate to mc's feeling.

The MC too, at first he's like the UwU shy character but as I continue reading the story specially in that one flashback it showed that he's not just the shy and weak MC, he got the W in him lol, vut seriously I'm glad that MC is not the weak UwU MC he got some fight on him.

I really love how they treat each other although I wish there are more chapters so the writer can discuss or express more of the MC and ml's lovw for each other.

Very cute and wholesome. Appreciate the ML for being kind and accepting even though he was getting random texts from someone he barely even knew in the beginning. He made the relationship possible, and they're really cute together. Wish there was more about their relationship.

University-campus style, very fluffy, no angst, just shenanigans and supportive friend groups.

There are a couple flashbacks in the main text that are a bit harder to spot because no line breaks, but otherwise, translation & author's writing flowed well.

I love this book! It was just what I needed after reading a work heavy antagonistic. I was so nice and fluffy. It was a cute misunderstanding and made my heart ache with happiness. This is definitely good for after reading intense book. •^.^•

the fact that ML kinda bragged a man (MC) like him to his (ML) roommates once. However, that how the author want to potray him. Someone who want to brag/narcissistic/childish. So, it's understandable. As MC said, no one is perfect. And the roommates reactions to that is that they dont feel shocked except for that one roommate becuz ML don't take interest on girls. So, I feel like oh okay noice.

Tiny and few misunderstandings, almost no conflict. A bit bland for some but it was a fluff type of story.
