Very cute story. There's some angst (well, tbh, a good amount of angst) but it feels like the MC is healing. The romance is very subtle and warm. It's not out there, it's not spoken about a lot, but it can be read between the lines.

It's clear that the MC is suffering from depression. Even till the end, the haze doesn't go away. I can only say that he's healing, and just like any other mental illness, it will take time. I'm glad the ML is with him.

There's not a... more>> lot of melodrama, the story is too short for that. That's also the reason it doesn't feel frustrating. It's not a revenge story. It's just a story about the MC slowly getting out of the shadows of his past. ML is a catalyst, but the MC had been doing fine by himself tbh. Idk what would've happened if the ML hadn't been there, but I have this feeling that the MC would've found a way to survive and grow.

The best thing about this story is the MC himself. He's strong, he's rational. He doesn't indulge in self pity. He does everything he can to be happy, and he's also very kind. Life has given him so many lemons and he decided to grow lemon trees in his garden to force those lemons to provide him (and others) shade. Weird metaphor, I know, but works for him. He somehow makes something good out of the situation. He's not weak.

Translation is fine. There are typos, but it's still a lot better than unedited MTL. <<less

I’m going to put the translators as my fav now. I love all their works and can’t wait for their next translation.

This is a nice quick drama with slight face-slapping and how to overcome your depressions

This is quite a short strory, but oh man, even after the happy ending, it left me depressed after the first chapters

It's cute, and like most short stories, it's not as detailed as a novel, but the ambiguity of some moments makes it even more cute (atleast for me)

Heartaches and anger what I felt in the beginnings. And then Calm when MC finally alone in peace. And Sweetness when he finally meet ML.

But also feeling wanting to explode when annoying people made an appearance as if they had a right!!!

But of course I LOVE how MC handle the situations because he's truly has the freedom to do it.

Truly Sweet and Super nice till the end! Sooo happy!!!

11/10 would read a full novel of our MC living his day to day life with no stress, no obligations and just doing what he loves.

There is no big revenge in this novel, some faceslapping. Just our MC cutting off all the ones who hurt him and being true to himself.

ML is perfect for him.

Cute short story about cutting out the toxic things in your life, moving on, and focusing on your own self and people who will see you for who you are (the villagers).

This story is sweet yet leaves a slight bitter feeling at the end. I'm happy that the protagonist was able to find peace with someone that truly loves him. I did want the perspective of those who wronged him and how their life fell apart, but I understand why the author didn't include it, it may be a way to show that the MC has truly moved on and wants nothing to do with them.

It was an okay story. Happy that the MC had a good ending.

It was difficult trying to immerse yourself in the story because the chapters were short, the narrations were not very descriptive and the MC's emotions were not portrayed well.

It kind of feels like reading the story in an indifferent manner because even though some events should make you feel 'upset', the author never gives the reader enough time to process a scene before immediately shifting to another moment.

Short and oh-so-sweet!

I’m totally here for the revenge vibes since it's like my favorite flavor of tea. However, I love how MC just snipped away the root of his problems and shifted his focus to the stuff that truly brings him joy. It’s the perfect blend of angst, pain, sweetness, and a big ol' slice of solace. And can we just take a moment to celebrate those who wronged him? They got their comeuppance, and even if the details were a bit sparse, I was still like, “Oh yes bish,... more>> karma hit u so well, u swerved!”

Once he trimmed the drama, MC finally found his peace and even stumbled into love. Simple? Yes. Effective? Absolutely!

Now, about that extra POV of a certain character—nah, not a fan! Who needs that guy’s perspective, am I right? 😂 But overall, I’m all in on this story! <<less

Awesome story, I really like how MC cut off all his sources of problem and just focus with the things he likes. Toward the end the story kinda cliché, but I still love it because MC still be himself. And ml, he's great, good man, and that's all I can say because clearly the author just want to focus on MC and his healing progress

Beautiful, I only wish it were longer. MC learns to love himself and open himself, there's an ML but he only really stands aside as moral support, MC sheds his regrets one by one by his own work

This is really good one... reminded me of someone I love deeply... he faced such backlash too.. throughout the story' I was visualising him, he is equally dazzling like main character jiang Chang.

And male lead mr. Pei is just st like my love's lover.. the below phrases are just like his thoughts, hiding away his love from world..

I wanted to take him back, and nurture him.

So short it’s more like an outline of a manga. The writing is okay but not the best. Not sure if it’s due to the translation but it seemed like the MC was reflecting on what already happened but the dialogue was messing up the immersion. Speaking of dialogue, there isn’t much. Also the writing is a bit too short without enough detail. Plot is also okay - basically as described in the summary. I do like how the MC didn’t forgive.

Short and concise. I love how the MC moved on from his family and entertainment industry. The only thing that feels lacking is the romance. Still a good read tho.

This is a very fun read, personally. There's drama but the level of angst is only little. However, it still made me tear up. ｡° (°.◜ᯅ◝°) °｡ Considering it's a short story, the flow of the story seemed smooth and the characters stayed consistent until the end. MC's struggle was briefly stated in a way not 'overfeeding with information, ' just enough for a foreshadowing (like who's really in fault with MC's misfortune). I'm satisfied with the ending and MC's healing. It's like drinking a can of soda after a meal, so refreshing~ <<less

Great story, short and heartwarming. This was a nice palette cleanser for all the dog blood stories out here I kept stumbling in. This story read incredibly fast; I read it in less than half an hour, but it felt complete so I am satisfied.
