My name is Su Li.

I traveled through time, and because of an accident, Princess Changle became a vegetative state, and I became the candidate for the celebration and sacrifice.

Everyone is sorry for my miserable experience, but I almost went crazy with joy!

Because I am bound to a system, as long as I have physical contact with noble people, I can get so many points, buy various commodities, and even call myself the ancestor, and return to modern times!

………

My name is Li Lizhi, usually they call me Princess Changle.

I fell into a coma, because of an accident. In fact, I was mu*dered into a vegetative state by my jealous sister Princess Gao Yang.

Originally I was planning to end my life, but inexplicably gained a husband.

He loved me so much, cared everything about me, and gave me the confidence to persevere, but… the shame is, why do you have to hold me every second no matter what a situation it is?

Well, I admit it, this feeling is really delicious!

Darling… I miss your hold so much even if I am in your embrace at this moment!

Dear God I'm going to have a diabetes from the protagonists

ML while doing it for his benefit genuinely cares for the FL and I feel touched evertime I read about what he does for her

and FL's inner dialogue is super adorable yet very sad in context

definitely rate this 10/10 it has the well balanced blend of (as someone already said) a shounen system plot via ML and a shoujo romance plot via FL and it's a very wholesome read, every chapter my heart is just filled with wholesomeness

Pretty meh overall.

The setting is a transmigrated modern MC with a system that has a tricky activation condition in ancient times. Fine, nothing great, but nothing bad, either. However, the execution is pretty lackluster.

To be fair, the story was good at first, when the wife was in a vegetative state. The MC had to put some effort to earn the points, his position was somewhat precarious, and it was nice to read about the wife's growing feelings (it was kind of cute). But then it went downhill after she woke... more>> up.

This is basically a wish fulfillment story where the MC doesn't struggle to do anything (like damn, even if he gets things too easily, he should at least get some missions with rewards instead of just accruing points by touching the eponymous princess; at this point it just feels like one of those older Japanese village/territory management webnovels where the MC did very important things like growing rice and creating soy sauce and being a pushover for the obnoxious love interests, just with an MC who isn't a pushover). Things just fall into his lap. Also, the MC tries hard not to have to do anything (which is understandable, but takes away any tension and makes the story boring). Finally, it feels really weird when he brings modern foods out.

Also, he's a hypocrite that says "money and power don't interest me" in one moment but the next he's happy to now possess his wife's wealth and grumbles about emperor not returning her money.

The wife is just an ornament if you ask me. At least so far. It's nice that she's submissive and all that, but it is overdone and takes away any and all personality from her. I know it's ancient times and all that, but there are plenty of web novels with a Chinese ancient times setting that have female characters with more prominent personality. Ironically, she had the most personality when she was in a vegetative state and we could only read about her thoughts and feelings. She had all those desires to do this and that with the MC, but then when she woke up, she suddenly became almost fully passive, and the focus was more on MC, and the author quickly forgot about all those things she wanted to do. Big screwup. This is where this novel went downhill fast.

The other characters, well, are there, but it's hard to say much about them. They're neither deep nor completely shallow. I suppose it may get better since I only read 83 chapters.

Well, maybe it gets better later overall, but now it's boring, and has been for at least two, three dozen chapters - basically ever since the waifu woke up. <<less

It was a keep your brains outside novel till the fighting started. After that it reads like the plot was written by a 6 year old after getting opinions from a teen with barely a surface level understanding of history and ancient chinese diplomacy.

Spoiler

Yes the emperor who has to see all kinds of schadenfreude in his court is enamored by a few flowery words of the enemy envoy and gave away a princess in marriage. Even I as a non-chinese can see the faults in that argument and the author thought it was so nice for the MC to point out they aren't really humbled by the Tang dynasty.

Yes, everybody likes to prop up other countries at the expense of their own. SMH

What I want to highlight here, is not the plot or any character. For me, it's fine but the thing that burden me the most is the writing and translation. I'm not a chinese history enthusiast, so it's until much later that I realized this novel are based on real history. But the writing style is just so confusing. Especially with age. In one chapter it's an adult, but in much later chapter, it's implying that ir's a teenager? Like, what? The MC age is consistent, which is 23 years... more>> old. But other than MC, I just can't figure it out.

Also, the writing likes to repeat things with different words. Again, and again, and again, to the point where I have to skim the page to see the next plot lead. It's really confusing as f. This is the sole reason of my low rating of 2. <<less

Very decent, I would say that this work is simple, very enjoyable to pass the time but requires a bit of patience because as we know, all Chinese authors like to be long-winded, the negative points... well not an apparent one, at least a glaring one, for a simple work with simple depth it is well done, the novel is enjoyable too, however once again I noticed that the negative comments are based on taste and partial criticisms rather than impartial ones, in other words not objective negative comments, as... more>> expected from the readers of the novelupdaes, they always do that, I've stopped reading a lot of good things because of these s*upid comments.I'll wait to stock up on a few chapters and then read again. <<less

Novel is good. It's rare to actually see a novel with a pure and down to earth relationship between lovers. All other novels are either dominant MC or other cliche.

Regarding writing, it's heavily historical, so author explains events historically, onl;y problem is that author explains too much and the adds too many empty words.

MC is kinda meh in the aspect that he's not that special without the system, he's a normal dude with a system, but I liked his chill personality tbh.

Honestly, the first 20 chapters of the story were quite pleasant and sweet. I enjoy how the princess's heart was touched and comforted. However, from the chapter where he meets the general and starts excessively cheating, the story becomes too one-sided. Truly, he is a character with no impressive qualities, and if we remove the System, he would be no different from a greedy person with a strangely handsome appearance, while having to live as a farmer since childhood.

What made me continue reading it after the first 20-30 chapters was... more>> curiosity about the princess's character development journey, instead of the male protagonist and his System.

3 stars!? I would grant 5 stars if it ended around chapters 20-30. As it progresses, I anticipate a decline quality because the main character is excessively overpowered and essentially all of his advantages stem from cheating through the system, both in terms of knowledge and emotions. His emotions are fundamentally driven by ambition for his own personal gain... <<less

The premise of the story is alright, but the amount of word padding the author uses is just too much. You can skip like 10 paragraphs in a chapter and still understand everything because they just say the same thing over and over in a slightly different way.

As of the date of this review, this novel is currently at the top of the monthly rankings in Faloo so the author must be doing something right. Honestly, this is a mixture of male power fantasy and female sweet pet novels with most of the good parts of the two genre mixing perfectly. It isn't groundbreaking or anything but the author is really good at what he does.

My only complaint is that the central conflict of the story is solved pretty early and by the time it reaches 190... more>> chapters, the plot starts to lose it's charm a little, at least for me.

Spoiler

I believe after the point of the story where I stopped, there are going to be immortals and cultivation but I wasn't interested to fond out.

Only giving an extra star because the setting had potential but this is bad, the writing is atrocious, you barely have any dialogues or inner monologues instead being forced to read the same explanation over and over again with different wording. At times you will have six paragraphs all conveying the same message with just the last line barely adding something new

It is incredibly frustrating to read

There are no likeable characters, including the MC, even the system is pure garbage being there just so the author has an... more>> excuse to introduce ridiculous items at any point. Oh MC needs X potion now, how convenient it was for sale last month and he bought it just because...

It's a shame, the initial chapters were at least decent with a split between the princess thoughts and MC actions. <<less
