Ye Zhiqing is a traditional alpha who, after three years with Yu Xi, only held hands. It's actually pretty good. This is coming from an MTL reader

The MC is kind and caring person who is essentially like a child, but she has guts and a bit of knowledge on how to handle certain things. MC and FL also know how to communicate in this book, so any arguments and misunderstandings they have get solved within a matter of a few chapters. The "villains" in this is also treated like a person, they aren't killed off like some other ABO stories and everyone have more or less... more>> a good ending.

The only thing Im kinda bitter about is during the ending where we only get a glimpse of their child. It's mostly a mention and a few interactions overall, I really wanted more screen time.

In conclusion, its written well but this plot has been done before. I recommend this to the casual readers who want a bit more spice (drama) in their wholesome reading. <<less

I really fell in love with this story because the two main characters are so true to themselves. Their personalities are stubborn, determined and only bend for each other. Neither have had a particularly smooth life growing up but they both try to mend each others traumas. Watching their relationship grow and develop made me so happy!!

My only issue... I’ve read a lot of translations and in the beginning the translator did really well. Typically Chinese light novels are told from a third person point of view, no vulgar language,... more>> and they have a cultural way of addressing people they’re intimate with through their name (not like in English- babe, baby, sweetheart).

However, as the translation has progressed it’s gone back and forth between first person and third person point of view. The omega/alpha rolls have been mixed up. Vulgar language is used. I got to a point where I went to the original website and dealt with the google translate.

I may be too serious about this issue but as someone who loves Chinese light novels and has a deep respect for these authors, it upsets me to see their words twisted. <<less

This story embodies ideals I want in my relationship. Yes, there are obstacles but the innate sincerity and genuine affection has touched my heart, especially the ending. It has made me look up to Ye Zhiqing who is selfless, sincere and full of integrity towards her partner while yearning to have a partner like Yu Li who is self-confident, understanding and appreciative. I want to support someone like Yu Li as a life companion so they can let me observe their growth and happiness at their side.
