But for frick's sake. WHY did the author suddenly break the story to write the main character as some type of system. COMPLETELY ruined the mood. It was way more exciting when the MC was just a normal person who had all the gossip.

an amazing system! The fact he not only fell in love, but spent so much time grinding away to be able to save his love and be together with him without sacrificing either of them is amazing. Our cute system finally grew up! I'm glad he didn't break after cradling the dead body of his love twice, would have been a lot more tragic if we had PTSD and psychological issues added to this (not that I would mind reading it!).

MC has 3 brother who lack personlaity and love life, and he also has ML, a rich handsome guy (obviously), that after almost 100 ch, I still can't really see him as individual. Too many BL couple and lack of BG couple, is typical of this kind of genre, but I don't really like that, , MC tried to understand his feelings toward ML, and I guess I know why I feel like MC doesn't really has familial feelings toward his own family after reading a spoiler he is actually a super system. You can't expect system to have feelings

The plot twist at the ending really threw me off and I totally cried my eyes out, especially when Qin Yao died, gave a name to L1 aka LeYao. And then LeYao efforts to save Qin Yao from his destined death by going through a sh*t ton of small worlds to accumulate points and then proceeds to take QinYao's place to die so that the plot point could move for word without QinYao dying. But all in all, the part that hurt the most was L1 learning emotions, becoming LeYao and having to see the person he love die 3 times in front of him even though he was a system who was considered almighty. His pain was felt very clearly and after laughing my ass off for so many chapters this heartache came with my tears pouring like heavy rain.

Regarding the apparent controversy about the ED... I agree with the other reviewer that says that it is open to interpretation on whether the character actually has an ED or not. Obviously readers that are sensitive about such topics have chosen to believe that she did have a disorder. Personally, I think there is a difference between being psychologically compelled to eat a certain way to maintain an image and doing so out of vanity, and I think the character was doing the latter. I do think hers was an odd "gossip" to point out, though it could be that the author was trying to figure out diverse scandals to start with. And Song Zhehan was delighting in perversely unmasking other people to let out the stress of his own mask.

I would also note that for those claiming he shouldn't have dragged all the gossip out for the world... I think they were always going to be revealed in their respective storylines, often with more damaging effects on the "good" characters. As is revealed later, this is how the various storylines get fixed in this messed up world. The author regretted writing such tragic endings, but because the stories were entwined, they needed careful manipulation to change. Maybe the fake foodie was only unmasked after it was too late for her to recover, so this turned out better 🤷🏻‍♀️ even though its not nice, it can have positive outcomes.
