It was an island famed as a tourist destination in Okinawa.

A high school boy lived there, leading a slightly unusual life under the roof of his parents, who ran a traditional inn catering to travelers.

He had always assumed that one day he would inherit the family business and spend the rest of his life in this land. But that expectation was shattered when, out of the blue, a scout from a professional baseball team set his sights on him.

“Kid, how about going pro?”

“Huh? Old man, what are you talking about? The only baseball I know is from video games.”
