This is such a terrifying novel—truly frightening. It offers absolutely nothing yet manages to last over 2, 000 chapters. I praise this author for his talent for dead-horse beating.

This author does not try; I mean this with complete sincerity; he does nothing new outside of the most bare-bone names. If you asked me for my opinion on this novel, I wouldn't be able to answer. There is nothing here; I am truly flabbergasted that an author has managed to write over 2, 000 chapters of such vapid and empty content.

Is... more>> there humor? Yes, but I can only ever see it being enjoyed by twelve-year-olds, for it is mainly gay jokes. It usually consists of one character being made out to be gay and everyone moving back fifty meters, or gay orgies by the hapless rapists with their aphrodisiac. I honestly don't know anyone over the age of twelve who still laughs at gay jokes, or uses gay as an insult, for that matter.

The characters are as equally dumb and bland as everything else, I've seen them all before and, of course, they don't develop into anything different. Once they're introduced, they never change; this goes for the protagonist as well. The harem members start feisty, then become housewives; that's the extent of their development.

The cultivation is, once again, unoriginal. I'm truly repeating myself but I feel I should really get this across: This novel does nothing, absolutely nothing. It is not worth reading in the slightest unless you've never read a Chinese web novel before.

It's almost scary how blatant the author is about this self-insert story. The MC is the greatest in the universe and he's going to show off every single second. Saying he's arrogant is hardly enough to cover the extent of this mc's idiocy. In 7 chapters, I could pretty much already confirm what that other reviewer said. This is not worth reading, the jokes are horribly bland and low-level, the author is already after 7 super short chapters repeating himself all the time. It all goes in a quick cycle... more>> of the MC comes, someone is arrogant or loud-mouthed in front of him (often because of the mc's own actions that would infuriate anyone), he crushes them in either knowledge or combat or why not both. Everyone is in extreme awe and can't help but comment on how freaking awesome he is. This is not the kinda funny or cool type of faceslapping, the MC is just crushing everyone in a single second as he brags and gets showered in praise and astonishment, it's one of the most blatant cases of wish fulfillment writing I've ever seen.

This guy doesn't think for even a second, he just brute-forces his way through everything while being ridiculously arrogant as if he's the king of the world or something, offending people to the left and right, front and back, up and down. I couldn't help to cringe throughout the entire 7 chapters because the author never failed to make this MC edgy as hell and people turn around their opinions way too fast. One second they're hating on him, the next they're going "NOOOOH WAAAYZ" with big eyes as they can't believe the manliness and charisma of the MC, then the MC leaves in a self satisfied manner, I swear, if he were a peacock, he would be swinging his feathers around everywhere, at all times while looking condescendingly on everyone. This happened several times already in 7 super short chapters (barely even half of a normal xianxia/xuanhuan chapter). The MC doesn't even have reasons for acting like he does, he just does so because he wants to show off and can't stand anyone acting superior in any way whatsoever because he's the god of the world. This novel isn't worth the space it's written on, I can't say a single good thing about it. I can see why the translator dropped this after just 7 super short chapters.

Really, I love arrogant, shameless MCs that screw people up, but this was horribly badly written, the MC turned out to be just an overly self-confident moron and the sense of humor is just to be arrogant and condescending without any thought put into it whatsoever. This author doesn't even try, even I could write a better story than this without giving it much thought. <<less

Literally an arrogant master who rebirths into the body of a waste generations later and sets on the path of reclaiming his glory.

When I say arrogant, this MC is waaay toooooo arrogant. The situation reminds me heavily of Tales of Demons and Gods at first. But instead of staying low-key with his cheat-like knowledge, he casually throws it at people and uses it to display that he is above them in every way. There really isn't much of a 'rival' existence within these initial chapters as he tries to slowly... more>> regain strength.

Of course, the situations that occur are indeed quite comedic and then extremely ruthless.

There's a dungeon scene where he ends up poisoning all the prisoners and his kidnappers and turns it into one heck of a gay orgy.

Ruthlessly, he would just cripple people casually whenever they fight him or annoy him. Mercy is probably the least thing you'll expect as he'll carry his previous life arrogance to his current life 1:1.

I gave up as all this flashing of I-have-a-cure for this and that, I-know-this-and-that, oh I-can-do-all-this-and-that. A know-it-all MC gets really annoying that I can't stand reading how every other character reacts with a wow or a shoe licking.

If anything, I recommend Library of Heaven’s Path that has a better execution of the know-it-all MC but without arrogance and in a better comedic fashion. <<less

This is actually good. I would put this on the A - S tier alongside Reverend Insanity, Renegade Immortal, Way of Choice, etc.

The story is decent, the characters aren't random stepping stones from 1 region to the next. They stay relevant and are formidable. 1 of the biggest highlight of Reverend Insanity (for me) is how good the characters other than the MC are.

Definitely worth a read.

This writing went to shit. Characters repeated their already known knowledge chapter after chapter to pad words. Female characters turned into brainless dumbass. MC turned in a h**ny dog. It had potential. The world setup was decent, the execution following is garbage. <<less

2.0-3.0 for the story of meta beat son->father appear->grandfather appears-> grand grandfather->ancestor->grand ancestor + annoying and arrogant diamond spoon MC after rebirth with memory of all the greatest art ever known to man in his world.

+0.5 just for the jokes and face slapping the doggos.

When you reading story like this, its usually coupled with shutting off your logic unit in your brain.

The author did something I hate in novels, especially in ones with this many chapters. There is this antagonist named Lu Yi, the way his character is built is just to be a stepping stone for the first ark and then we go to the bigger world.

But as arks kept changing this guy keeps appearing, being a pain in the ass then getting away always somehow. I don't know what the author has in mind and I don't care. I have seen this in different novels too and all it... more>> does it's be extremely annoying. Just so I don't waste reading 2000+ chapters and wasting my time on something that will keep annoying me, I checked when this dude dies, and guess what, he makes it till the end. This guy was even more lucky than even the MC.

Also, the plot is pretty bland tbf, I was only looking for something to read in my free time to chill, but this was just making me annoyed. This is not worth more than 3 stars. At least some people might find it interesting. <<less

I was interested in this book, but because 'Endless Fantasy Translation' gave up translating it after 225 chapters, I decided to hop onto the manhua train and further try my luck there. And unfortunately I was let down.

This book, it's a mediocre work filled with gross plot holes, it's something that only an innocent child could enjoy. Here, let me spoil you a little with some generic "plot happenstance" here, some stuff that is normal in this book:

Main character basically saves his kingdom at one point after many harsh fights. Suddenly an enemy airship appears, mind you this is at the capital and there are literally hundreds of thousands of allies surrounding MC. Enemy appears from the airship, it's some kind of a classic caricature of a young master who mocks everyone a little and then decides to take the princess of the empire, one of main characters minor love interests, hostage. It's then "Settled" with MC agreeing to fight him after few months, and what's more another one of MC's love interests is added as a further bet for the fight. Everyone just proceeds to let it happen, and the villain is allowed to leave with the princess. After this nobody talks about it.

Stuff like that runs the book. That's the way the plot is handled. It's completely ridiculous. I mean, I get it. The plot must move forward, and next thing obviously MC must get stronger and save the girl. But it's just all so.. Crude? And pathetic? Who would write it like this? It makes no sense in terms of human experience, no human would behave like this.

I mean, even the villain himself said his intent was to basically r*pe the princess in the meantime while waiting to later get to enjoy the other woman. Like, what the f*ck is happening? It can't be just me? I mean the next arc is basically a training arc obviously, but isn't the villain just running a train on the love interest/princess meanwhile MC is trying to get stronger? Or does the world just stop for everyone but MC? Once again, obviously this just rhetorical. It's a Shonen story. MC will definitely save the princess intact.

I just.. Can't with this type of story. I get it would work if you didn't think about it. But that's not the real world way of looking at things. It's fine if you want to create a story for children but please stop basing the human condition in the story on some fairy tale level innocence. <<less

I've never seen worst reviews on a novel

not a single comment says is reviewing it in the context that it's a chinese web novel

sure the writing isn't that good but waaaaaaay better than most chinese cultivation web novels

MC: every comment says he's arrogant but how ???? He's always low key if you talk normally to him if the " villain " is rude the MC becomes even worst sure he could tone it down but why should he he was one of the strongest and he acts like it and... more>> he does tone it down when he needs to

and let's not forget that before he made a name for him self EVERY SINGLE " villain " tired to kill him and snatch his " beauty " sure tr*shy writing but that's a s*upid trope in all chinese novels

the MC is also very smart, calculative and scheming in most arcs there's almost always someone stronger so there's always schemes not just the typical flexing my strength shit

the comedy was indeed very bad at the start but it got much better

most uninteresting aspect : harem especially the 1st and 2nd, , . The phoenix girl was very fun the water one was soo funny (she's made naive and dumb/understands nothing about the world on purpose don't take her srsly and you'll laugh) but they all get less interesting with time

best aspects :

1. The mind games like I said above, Which most chinese novels lacks.

2. There's a few names that stay can somewhat keep up (not really) with the MC's growth and are interesting as rivals

most disappointing: his disciples I thought they'd have a much bigger role

TLDR enjoyable read but only compared to most other cultivation webnovels <<less
