The protagonist, Misaki Touma, collapses in a medieval rural village resembling Europe with almost no memory. He is suddenly transported to a village with no status, money, large body, strength, or redeeming qualities. The story is about the protagonist’s steady efforts to recall his memories of the past and, using the knowledge he has acquired, to enrich the poor village and eventually develop it into a large town.
