If you want to read a half-assed written novel then this one is for you.

Never seen an author write their MC decrease the favorability of a heroine w/o some logical explanation.

The fight scenes were ok at first but as you reach midway it just becomes bland and boring.

The author said they were suffering from a heart disease and they had to undergo surgery. Might explain the quality and word count drop. Chapters are short as you approach the end. It's boring and uninspired. Some acts in the plot do not... more>> make sense. Not to mention the ending was abrupt.

The romance was the only thing that was decent. <<less

Wow that was frustrating, the starting premise is good, the MC is empathetic and a decent human being due to transmigrating from the modern society and the story is set up to be pretty interesting with restrictions to his abilities (though still insufficient imo since he can just take back his gifts), but then that takes a nosedive and the author tries to add more comedy by making the MC insufferable,

He's for some reason afraid to increase the affection level of a maid he bought, so he forces her to give him a blowj*b in front of her dying husband since she wasn't willing to kill him, the husband is admittedly a villain but still a s*umbag thing to do just to lower her affection rate.

The MC basically becomes one of those shitty protagonists you find in "I became the villain" novels who lashes out at everyone just because he refuses to lose despite being really weak and becomes a h**ny dog that tries its best to get with every female he sees.

It's also funny reading the author repeatedly justify every few chapters why the MC refuses to invest in aptitude and comprehension since clearly the chinese bros have been annoyed at that in the comments. <<less

The title makes it seem like MC reached a boss-like position in a dog eat dog world. But, no. So far, he's still in a servant position.

It does display a despairing situation. He and many others are in a Trail of Tears kind of scenario. A bunch of refugees traveling in one huge convoy in a harsh environment, causing many deaths due to starvation. The poor has to scavenge or eat dead bodies or sell their own families for scraps of food.

Maybe MC will rise to power later, but I... more>> suppose we're still very early in the story. Where we're at, MC is in quite a comfortable situation, but far off from achieving power.

Thanks to MC's system, he's able to duplicate items he gives to chosen people (female only). So, he's able to comfortably feed himself and his little sister, and a maid servant and her daughter that he purchased (I forgot the actually reason tho I think it was just another person to reap from the system).

He also gets engaged with his town's former village chief's daughter, as well as becoming the personal guard of the caravan master, who is also a girl.

Also, because the story has a system, it pads word count by having long monologues about it. Like, there was a whole chapter dedicated to MC's thoughts and the system and cultivation and whatnot that does nothing to the story progression. Anyways, that's my only problem.

In any case, an okay read. I wouldn't really recommend it unless you got nothing else. There really isn't anything exciting happening so far, but give it a go if you're interested. <<less
