Seriously this novel gives me the smiles. This novel is so pure and sweet it's hard not to like them. This really make me wish the quiet country life.

except for the fact that I cant weave a basket, do embroidery and cook, the idea is cancelled.

FLUFFIEST NOVEL EVER!!! Very cute!

No drama and bullsh*t, just lovey dovey characters. Omg I love the ML here so much, he might be an iceberg in the start but the moment he melts, he become the best husband ever.

This guy, my ultimate crush. I will transmigrate here, just wait for me XD

This book is so cute and fluffy!! The ratings are very fitting to this novel. Honestly, my first impression of this novel was “oh it is going to be a novel with a lot of killing” since I assumed it is the life with being with an active assassin. However, after reading I realised that to be more accurate it is of an Ex-assassin. Both main leads are super cute with each other. Haha. I guess that’s why people say not to judge a book by its cover. Anyways, the... more>> second title of Picking up an assassin to be a farmer pretty much suits the title even more in my opinion.

The plot is mainly on both of the female and male leads. The first few chapters describes how the female lead struggled with her past life, missed her mother and brother from her past life and overcome difficulties living in a mountain by using her knowledge from reading books in her past life. It pretty much continues till she meets the male lead. The relationship between the male and female lead was awkward at first. Slowly as the story progresses, the male lead got attracted to her, which I assumed is by her happy and helpful personality and they got out of the mountain. The female lead is attracted to the male lead as well and the story goes on. Other than the romance of the main leads, it has also included the romance of the side characters.

The relationship between both the female and male lead is very honest, straightforward and both are very caring towards each other.

When the male lead agreed to live together with the female lead, the female lead was very happy but hesitant. And that’s when the male lead confessed to the female lead of his real feelings. This is because the male lead thinks that for a couple to work it is best to be honest towards each other. And of course, this ideology is similar to the female lead which can be shown in the chapters later on.

Honestly, the main thing that touches my heart the most is one of the chapters in the extras of the novel where the female lead and male lead faced some mountain bandits and was stuck in a very dangerous mountain when they were travelling and I believe fell the cliff, the female lead went back to her previous life. She was really very sad since she couldn’t let go of her relationship with the male lead and even written in a notebook of how she lived in the past ten years. Her family of her previous life reminded her that she has to marry her fiancé at that period and she was very reluctant because of not wanting to let go of the love with the male lead. She later know that her current fiancé in that era is the male lead when the male lead visited her and she happily married. It was explained that the male lead followed her soul and found out that they are in a different era and that the body she returned to is her original body. His soul lingered in the hospital for days and later found out a body that has faced an accident, that is also similar in age to the female lead, has passed on. As they were about to announce the time of death, the male lead’s soul entered that body and it happened to be the female lead’s fiancé of that era.

I think it is honestly very touching. And I was honestly hoping that they will have a continuation of that extra but sadly there is. Anyways, it just shows how much they love for each other and this is just one example.

All in all, I would really recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a very cute and sweet romance that is very straight forward and with no scheming or climbing for power. Once again, I would totally recommend this novel! It’s a must read! <<less

I love this book and would highly recommend the it. It's not very exciting as there is hardly any action but the characters are very lovable and the romance is sweet enough to give you cavities. Be prepared to sign and hug yourself a lot. I also like that the main characters are not totally OP and all knowing to boot. They have believable skills complete with reasonable backstories.

I would earn some that this story is not fast paced. There are entire chapters dedicated to things like describing a home.... more>> I think it's fine and goes with the flow of the story but some people may get stuck at those parts. Persevere and you will be rewarded with more fluffy than you can shake a stick at. <<less

If you're tired of the non stop drama from other novels and just want to read a very laid back romance then this is for you. The drama here is quite low as it mainly concentrates on what challenges the couple... more>> may face when they just want to live a new life in a farm. What I love the most about this novel is that the couple faces their problems together and head on: they immediately confess their jealousy, insecurities, and problems to each other. In result, they have one of the healthiest relationship that I have read.

Another reason I love this novel is because the woman is not useless or a doormat as the story progress. She knows she doesn't know a lot of things because she is from the future and came from a wealthy family but this doesn't stop her from supporting her man even though he spoils her very much. She knows the value of her sewing craft, know when people are abusing her kindness, and doesn't take anyone's bullshit.

Btw, this is slice of life so don't expect anything to happen quickly. The author takes their time to introduce and pace the plot. <<less

Adorable. If I could summarize this series, that would be the word. This is NOT an action-oriented, over-the-top drama infested book. This is a quiet, lovable, cute series that will make your heart melt. Because of the "Assassin" character, there is a possibility for action/drama in the future, but based on the current writing style, I suspect it'll be a good romp rather than a dragging frustration for the readers. All in all, one of my favorite reads.

(I actually like it so much I'm reading through it again)

So far this story is pretty lighthearted, there’s no crazy villains yet.

The MC was born a pampered Miss is actually really sweet and sensible and The ML is actually hilariously sweet to her.

Recommended for people who just want some sweet mushy romance in their lives.

P.S. The wolves are the best characters in this story hahaha.

So btw, the story is really really really nice, it's very fluffy and cute. I never expected a chinese rebirth story like this one because unlike the others which started off so gloomy and had that nerve-wrecking tone persisted for a hundred chapters or so, Assassin Rebirth is quite different. When I read it, I can't remember anything other than the fact that both the MCs are so adorable and yet enviable. Other novels never made me envious of their... more>> MCs, only Assassin Rebirth's made me do. So... it might have begun from a *cough* of course something life-threatening that could push someone to travel worlds and dimensions, the rest of the (translated) chapters are not about life and death confrontations so no worries about anything that may upset your heart (*cough* Poison Genius Consort *cough*). It's simply an adorable narration of how two naive people became couple and ended up together. <<less

The cute, feel-good novel you want to read when you're down.

This novel will also make you feel 'I want to have a relationship like that, too' (excepting some outlier preferences).

Yes, they're that cute. Rather than the intrigue/fighting that's vaguely mentioned as background, the focus is on their day-to-day life after MC rescued ML. Granted the element of luck on her part is rather... super, and the ML comes across as affection-starved (or just kindness-starved) poor sod in that he's so quick to adapt to the utterly mundane civilian life with... more>> MC and taking care of her, but other than that they're super cute and lovey-dovey and why do I not have a relationship like that?!?!?! <<less

Didn't enjoy it even one bit. So many frustrating characters. The plot, even though started as mediocre but still has the potential, but ended up in a steep nosedive. I would have prefer this if it remained the slow slice of life story with the FL and ML living their humble mundane life in their little town. I could have accepted even some little tension from the ML's side since his past identity was an assassin and his former job didn't end smoothly, maybe even the embroidery theme on... more>> the FL's side could be maintain as well as it's FL's talent and it's part of her. I'm more than willing to see them navigate their little life with their kids but instead the author pulled off a cliche move of both FL and ML, who were supposed to be orphans, ended up having royalty parents. Why couldn't they just be a simple commoner and still live a good life? The more the story progressed, the more I found that everything is unnecessary.

The characters are also annoying. I get that the FL grew up in a strict and suppressed environment, thus having so much insecurity but being like that almost the entire story? Even though the ML's eyes are always on her, always pampering her, never even suffering from having to lift her finger when it comes to chores, but the constant doubt that he might leave her because she isn't worthy is putting me off. She also is spineless and has no danger instinct. You are in an unfamiliar environment and when some stranger knocks on your door saying they're your husband's acquaintances and could very well be lying to you, but you just let them in? Honestly, she's not clever at all. Some says that she's just too nice and it comes naturally for her but I always saw her as a pushover. Also, not just her. Almost all female characters have the same wishy washy nature, it's so frustrating.

The ML also has an annoying habit of keeping important things from the FL. What happened with the promise of being open with each other? I always hate the reasoning of not saying anything to avoid worrying their partner. They deserve to know those important things, especially when it entails danger. Also the issue of ligation, he never discuss it with the FL. I know he's just worried about the FL after experiencing giving birth twice, but making the decision on his own without informing FL is just something I hate about him.

Seriously, I still feel disgruntled. Reading a slow slice of life story with descriptions about mundane life is never a problem with me but I was honestly so bored with this one. I even feel like this is very long and I even skipped a few long winded narrative. I have so much expectations and I even thought it could at least get a 3 star for me, but I was left so dissatisfied. <<less

A solid 4/5 stars Novel.

I loved the beginning how the FL and ML met and how they choose to leave with each other alone in a a small town and far away from the world.

Moreover I liked the Fast romance too and the fantasy /martial arts elements was a nice touch too.

But in end around the the last 30-40 chapters the quality dropped in my opinion.

Nonetheless its a nice story and if someone looking a wholesome romance story in ancient times its a must read.

i was really angry with the choice of ML to do ligation because he was afraid for FL after the 3d child, when he knows that they have a magical elixir and the FL is in a great health and the 3d child was born VERY easily moreover they have the best doctors in the world around them. Seriously FL could have birth another 5 children easily without any health problems... and the ML did the litigation in secret too. Moreover at the beginning of the story ML could do this with pressing the accupoints on FL during s*x without the need of ligation but author forgot it..

It became boring and bad after 20 chapters.

It’s unbelievable how fast the FL and ML relationship evolved.

The FL is a bit too naive and shy for me. Same with the ML except he’s controlling and is only nice to the FL which is on brand for many ML and could be interesting but no it’s not because there’s a lot of repetition of their thoughts and scenes which made me roll my eyes so many times that now I’m done with this novel. The ML also had red flags that... more>> made me feel uncomfortable.

Maybe if the author added more comedy or drama it could be interesting.

But if you’re looking for lots of fluff and something to turn off your head and not think then this might be the novel for you. <<less

It started out well. It had interesting points and both main leads were likable. But little by little it started to go off course for me.

How?.....

... more>> - the time spent in the forest was interesting but then they arrived at a town and bought a house and they started to show less of their hard work and just tell a bit of what the ML did every day.

- the MC became completely useless, from the hard working and resourceful girl that survived in the forest for a few months to doing a bit of embroidery work to only doing whatever she wanted (as long as she didn't work hard) she became lazy... there was nothing for her to do, no interest.

- I understand the inferiority the ML felt being an orphan turned assassin marrying an obviously sheltered young miss and living in the countryside, I understand his need to provide for her and not let her regret choosing him, BUT it became exasperating... I wanted them to talk to each other about the housework and how they should do it together as a family. But that never happened she just let him do everything and felt a bit bad about it.

- the contradictions and senseless stuff kept on getting on my nerves. The author kept on forgetting things that had happened or the way things were that it threw me off every time.

- everything was just too easy, they didn't have to work hard for anything.

- the MC's family, when they appeared, I didn't like them that much. Her father was the worst.

I like the story, but it got a little long winded at the end. I have never read a story before that did a speed run to make all the main characters have a happy ending... it got a little confusing and I couldn’t tell who was who. I was also sad that there wasn’t more with her wolves.

I liked the relationship between the main characters, but I felt that they could have been more honest and communicated with each other better. I mean they said that they would be... more>> open with each other, but she never came right out and mentioned her past that I could tell. He also never came right out to mention his “little surgery” or even consult with her about it. That’s not how a healthy marriage works. I am doing it for your own good and hiding it from you just doesn’t sit right. I guess that maybe they could have discussed these things in their marriage at one point behind the scenes, but the readers are left to wonder.

This was okay, but it became boring. I expected fluffy, but there was hardly any conflict; which made it less exciting. Everything was too peaceful, so I stopped reading. I may or may not return to this novel, but I need a break. Pro's: The start of the novel was great, how she was living in the forest and then met the assassin. Con's: Although it's mentioned in the tags that we have a weak protagonist; her being lied to (to prevent worry) by the male lead was very irritating.... more>> Also, her listening to the male lead about her career and her not doing anything physical was annoying as well. I guess her "weakness" was a little too weak for my liking. So yeah as a MC, her character made the story boring towards the end, so I didn't finish it. Oh well! <<less

So far they’re pretty lovey dovey, which I liked. He also doesn’t shy away from “women” work. But honestly, they have magical water and he can “fly”with his martial arts, but changing the ages from 15 - 23 was “not according to history”? It’s not like it’s a realistic novel.

5 star for the main story n main character. 4 star bcause of all the other annoying side character. So tiring reading towards the end. Author just copy paste her characters setting. I dislike them all.

Now, MC n ML both their character is great. MC is very cute she's perfect as she is. The story tho instead of farming I'd rather think it's more focus on town building? Improving the villagers life n suddenly at the end it bcome a small country building. It's very sloppy tho. Not much detail... more>> at all n it just happened. Author have this grand vision but the writing is shallow. Same with the farming it just mentioned in passing. What author did great tho the romantic moment, I think it's very fluffy. Lots of soft smut moments. Really, she got it hard too if writing full smut I think the book will b ban or lock in china.

So if u like romantic story this is a must read. If u wanna c farming sorry not much at all. But it still great to c how their small village improve to bcome a country later on. I just dunno why author so focus on their next generation pairing here n there towards the end. It's very lacking in characters depth n plot n they just mix match it.
