I wonder why is it rated so low, its a pretty good novel so far.

This novel reminds me of another novel called Martial Unity which is also good.

Its standard isekai novel with golden finger, MC is a tad bit flawless where he's competent cold, smart, handsome, somewhat humble and willing to learn, the standard. Fortunately its not system based cheat, rather unique and if the novel willing to expand it, it would be great.

It took place in alternate world of China where martial arts somehow became prevalent and feared. What... more>> I dont understand is why it became so, so far there's nothing much explanation except hints where people could exert extraordinary strength, however gun exist and still used and it doesnt seem so backward. Long story short MC need to get stronger to investigate something and protect himself.

I like the build up and how the story progress, the fight is decent too. MC may looks cold but hes just speak less, he cherish his friend and family and treat others like human, I also like the occasional jokes where it actually funny to read.

I couldn't help but comparing it to Martial Unity and the similarities is quite striking, but MU have better world building so far and slower prologue, this one throw world building here and there and doesnt feel like info dump imo but not as good as Martial Unity when it comes to explanation about martial art, that novel is crazy imo.

So far so good.

Ps: now I understand why it rated so low, probably due to the translator quality, it became somewhat worse overtime and even skip a few paragraphs, I think it started somewhere around chapter 100 where translation getting worse but not so much imo, but some paragraph are start missing in 120th chapter or so, I have to check the raw and use MTL lmao.

Also, while I don't think the novel is racist or have extreme nationalism, the usual antagonist is still Japan and Westerners, and the central government is always right while the branch government is somewhat corrupted, well if you are sensitive about this you probably not gonna like this, but the novel doesn't have any sharp remarks about these antagonists, and its not like they're depicted as evil or anything, more like conflict of interest. <<less

This novel is a breath of fresh air. It's actually hard to find a novel that's realistic where the author actually respects his readers and not treat them like idiots.

The fights are realistic, the MC is a bit cold but from my experience that's how some people are.

It's an op MC story but done realistically with no major plot holes or glaring plot armor.
