Ye Mu knew that Yan Chen didn’t love him, but he always simply thought that accompanying him meant declaring one’s love in the long run.

For eight whole years, he had been revolving around Yan Chen’s world, believing that he could just keep going like this.

But when Gu Huai came back, everything changed.

Yan Chen dumped him, the reason his whole family’s property went bankrupt, and his father suffered a heart attack in a fit of anger.

He was in a tight spot, he was deeply hurt and under despair decided to give up. In the end, he went to another company and shed his last ounce of strength to work. He unexpectedly met his boss, Chen Mo, who hated gay men the most. A lot of interesting things happened between the two.

Yan Chen had always been disgusted and irritated by Ye Mu, thinking that he was just a cheap person. After breaking up with Ye Mu, he decided to marry Gu Huai. But after marriage, he always remembered every little detail of being with Ye Mu, and felt that he must have been too disgusted with this person.

He started to look for Ye Mu time after time, and Ye Mu always refused. Yan Chen felt that it was nothing, this was merely another cheap trick of the other party by playing hard to get.

But one day, when he found out that Ye Mu no longer loved him and was with Chen Mo, Yan Chen felt strange.

Why did he feel so tight in his chest? Why did he feel so angry?

The author should title this as "regret" due to plot. I feel frustrated reading this novel at first. What keeps me reading this is to see MC's new relationship with Chen Mo (illegitimate brother of his s*um ex), and I really like the ML, ChenMo. I want to see the sweet moments between MC and ML ❤️ LESS 1⭐ because I'm annoyed with the push n pull between MC n ML near the ending. And I feel the ending of s*um is a lacking. I can't vent the frustration while reading this. There's also the unrealistic explanation of MC at the end. It's HE

GLIMPSE OF STORY

MC helped Yan Chen a lot. During his depression and near bankruptcy of company and made it well known company. But that Yan Chen did the opposite to MC. He cheated him, hurted him by having an affair, made the MC's family bankrupt bcoz Gu Huai wants it, and many more!! I honestly feel bad that I wish that this was "a cannon fodder counter attack" novel. Luckily, he met the ML

I usually see brain-dead villains in novels due to their unreasonable actions but this is my first time to see a brain dead MC due to love!!! The MC is the Definition of STUP!D. The result of his miserable life is just a consequence of his action by keep on loving yan Chen s*upidly. The ex is the embodiment of SCUM, While having Gu Huai, the person whom Yan Chen loves and f*ck!ng with, this bastard Yan Chen still wants to have s3x with MC.

Hmmm I thought the titled should be "awkward" for the direct translation but that aside, this is a real dog-blood drama book with not so healthy relationships (less so for the main CP but the main CP itself isn't smooth sailing). Let me first address the tags (which I went in knowing but it still affected my rating) :

Let me set up the stage first. S*um had a white moonlight ex-bf who came back, leading to s*um breaking up with MC at start of book for white moonlight. So s*um did cheat on MC with white moonlight. Also, this crosses to next tag, but s*um always tries to come onto MC DESPITE being with white moonlight afterwards hence the affair tag. Tolerable level once you know the tag is there.

There was a r*pe tag when I first saw this novel but it's gone now? But for the dub-con (which was understandable for the first and made me disappointed for the next) :

MC met s*um at some work event that led to heavy drinking early in the book right after breaking up so MC was understandably still in love with s*um and upset --> heavy drinking ensues and MC gets VERY drunk. S*um takes advantage of it and they sleep together (so the affair comes in too as s*um is at that point in a relationship with white moonlight) but note MC is not a willing partner so MC is not a scum. MC is not a xiao san. Later part of the book, the first sleep scene of MC and ML is also a dub-con (MC under the influence of meds he accidentally took and ML kind of forcing himself on MC) which made me very disappointed in ML because he was so good until that point!

The not so healthy relationship:

First, as expected, MC was deeply in love with scum. Tbh, this part I actually thought was well written and enjoyed because it was realistic. He didn't just snap and decided to move on so quickly but had emotional turmoil. Their relationship was never healthy. Next, white moonlight and s*um also had an unhealthy relationship, I kind of pitied white moonlight for his end but alas he was not a good character too. Finally, I felt that ML eventually had this frantic yearn for MC that made him chase after MC, even going as far as begging the s*um and giving away a lot of things. Also, MC did something really bad to ML in the past and I felt it wasn't addressed enough other than an apology, for them to move forward. It just felt like ML wanted to move forward more than MC (who kept running away). Towards the end, I almost would have been okay if they didn't end up together and be happy separately.

But for all my spoilers and rant, I actually really enjoyed the first half of the book and progress (I would have given it 5 stars! MC and ML interaction in the first half was the best). It only kind of went downhill in the second half with the relationship progression. <<less

I love this story so much that I read it all in just 2 days. This is a record for me.

In terms of plot, it sounds like a typical story plot: MC is betrayed by his s*um ex then he moves on with ML. But what is different about this story is that even though the story focuses on MC and ML, we can also see the development of MC's s*um ex and his white moonlight relationship.

In other stories, MCs usually always moves on easily and the s*um ex always... more>> regret it in the end, not gradual. But in this one, the s*um ex gradually realize that it was MC whom he loves and not the white moonlight and MC sometimes still think about the s*um ex. That's realistic for me, you just can't move on from someone you've been with for 8 years in just one day.

Even though there are some things I dislike like

the 'white moonlight' (he's fake) just went to jail and didn't suffer like MC did and Yan Chen that s*um can even still experience seeing MC (MC should put restraining order against him)

The plot is forced too much between the ML and the MC, I didnt like the many concidiences and the way the ML kept pushing is annoying, ML doesnt have no in his vocabularly, it annoyed me very much how the MC kept refusing to have s*x while the ML turned a deaf ear to it and r*ped him many times over, this is not the worst part though, if it wasnt for ML intervention the MC would have gone to jail because of his s*um ex selfish acts... more>> to please his new lover as MC did many illegal things to help his ex develop his business, which is another miraculious considience where ML found legal evidence in the mc's house under the tile in the bathroom which he inexpiably broke, that can overturn the case and make ex go to jail, while the MC is ignorant, what really gave me a shoke is when the ex came demanding MC give him this evidence the MC did naturaly without a fight, because the ML " trusted " him not to open these documents back when they were together but he didnt stop their, after he burned them in front of his eyes he told him this evidence could have got him out of jail, so he can know the extent of his s*upidity and cheapness, do you see the MC doesnt fight back, all of this is done by the ml, it is more like a fight between them with MC as the prize, this weakness is disgusting and the author is forcing the MC to be like this, I would have loved a different perspective like if MC was the one who found the evidence in his care and fought his ex at court, if the MC was given a time to get out of his past emotions instead of being hounded by ML like this, I dont think it is realistic that MC can have a relationship so soon with no abnormality or that ML who is extremely homophobic can change in a matter of a month, and I especially dont like that the ML looks almost like his ex, which contributed to the building of their relationship, I was genuinely questioning if there is something wrong with author's head when the ML and MC had public s*x on the beach in front of a seven years old child , it infuriates me that a novel with a promising plot got burned like that <<less

I give him a 5 because I don't think he deserves a 3.3, in general the story is 4.5 for me. In general it is a story that has comedy, drama, misunderstandings, I look like everything was balanced, I would have loved a little more detail in history, but still managed to catch me. MC although it seems naive, it is not. ML seems to me someone who gives everything if he falls in love, and it is also a vinegar jar. Gong escoria regrets his mistakes but it's too... more>> late, someone came better (ML). There are 100 chapters or long or short, I finished it in 2 days because each chapter left me integrated and wanting to know how the story was developed, I can say that he did not disappoint me, each chapter spent something unexpected, he liked me a lot and I hope to read it one day again.

This story at the beginning is the typical story of an MC in love with a gong s*um with a white moonlight. After this, MC decides to leave the slag and start working at the company of the stepbrother, at the beginning they have a relationship of enemies since ML is heteros*xual and homophobic, but little by little both develop a very good chief-subordinate relationship.

stop mtl-ing at chap 82.

The plot is okay, I find the angst I am looking for. However the villains didn't meet their redemption properly. They r all continuing being shameless. Hardcore egoistic and self-centered.

s*umbag and white moonlight truly match made from slump. They r never decent to be regarded in norm value. Both are self-centered, selfish, egoistic, twisted, and wretched. S*umbag only valued MC after he knew the truth even so, he proudly thinks MC's love for him endless and he will get whatever he wants. He just simply created... more>> to be self-centered beyond hope. ML only valued MC after knowing MC is the one he fall for, means that everyone else who is insignificant is okay to be treated like tr*sh.

White moonlight no better, another egoistic narcisst. Regretly, he ends up rather simply:

To this chapter near the end, I find the angst I craved but not satisfaction for redemption. Maybe it will in later chapter, but I'm too fed up of MC's forgiveness. I know love is complicated and it did happen irl that one can't hate no matter how much they r suffering. Nevertheless, MC's endless bottom line is frustrating. <<less

I mtl everything. I could not wait for the translation, the mtl is not great, but I understood most of it lol. I love the ML, and MC was a bit annoying at the end but still good. Good smut.. Even mtling it, it was hot :). I think the s*um deserved the end. People said he deserves more suffering, but for me, the end is suffering enough.

For me is 5 star; I would love it to read translated. We only give value to translators once we read mtl novels,... more>> but to be honest, I always give them coffee. I patron some and always buy the novel to help the author. Thanks to all translators out there :) <<less

It was an interesting read at first, alot of angst that was enough for me to tear a bit. And it was supper funny at times, the way the MC and ML got along. Then they had a bed scene and then it got a tad bit.... annoying.

Why can't grown men recognize their own feelings until they leave? I feel sorry for the MC. All the men he falls in love with are jerks who just see him as a s*xual object they find they can't live without and they... more>> chase him to the ends of the earth. I would have just faked my death, do plastic surgery and disappear if it were me. No one leaves the poor guy alone.

I know these stories aren't portrayals of real life, and the authors are not experts on love or anything, but I just got annoyed at the end of the book because the ML followed yhe s*umbag route in the end. And they were just fine before then. The author really knows how to write goofy scenes that can crack you up, you can't deny it.

Like the part where the ML calls a girl thinking she is a call girl and finds out that the girl thought he was the "call boy" instead 😂😂😂 <<less

Initially, this was good, but throughout the story, I felt the main characters lacked emotional depth. Their feelings didn't bloom convincingly, making it difficult to connect with their romance. The story might simply not be to my taste, but overall, it was an enjoyable and quick read (finished in two days!).

Ye Mu is with Yan Chen for 8 years, helping with his company and making sacrifices for him but the moment his white moonlight, Gu Hai comes back, Yan Chen kicks Ye Mu out of his own villa and bankrupts the Ye family to satisfy GH.

Ye Mu is pathetic and still lets Yan Chen walk all over him and answers his calls hoping things have changed while Yan Chen doesn’t want to admit that he’s having trouble letting go despite getting married to GH. Ye Mu finds a job and eventually gets together with his boss Chen Mo.

I feel like Yan Chen didn’t suffer enough tbh and at the end it seemed shitty that Ye Mu was making Chen Mo suffer when Ye Mu was the one who participated in sending him to prison when he was young because Yan Chen asked him to. Chen Mo wasn’t even the s*um gong, why was he suffering??? Ye Mu kept talking to Yan Chen throughout and still had lingering feelings but when it comes to Chen Mo he can finally grow some balls and leave without saying a word and firmly resist getting back together? I definitely liked the first part more than the last part but I still enjoyed it overall.
