Although it has alot of cliches, like the MC having god defying luck sometimes, this novel does the usual xianxia plot very well while adding great content on top of it. Its a very well written story, with a reasonable and likeable MC and a interesting world, definitely recommend if you like xianxia/xuanhuan. Also, although there are a couple arcs where the story slows down a little bit, the pace always picks up with time.

A very good series with some interesting characters. Some of the arcs tend to drag, but often follow up with some extremely exciting moments (for instance the Misty Cloud/Three Year Reunion arc). I find myself losing interest for a few chapters, then coming back and getting s**ked back into the story. It doesn't keep me eagerly anticipating the following release like some other series do, but it's still a really good read. This was one of the first C-novels I read and here I am, 2 years later, writing this review. The 2 stars are for the translator.

Tbh I liked this in the beginning but then it went to shit. Why do you ask? Well, arcs became repetitive, writing got boring and theeeeeen... the useless and despicable MC r*ped my favourite character... like seriously F.U.C.K YOU XIAO YAN!!!! Medusa is a bad-ass QUEEN who's stronger AND BETTER than XY and this s*upid author probably got jealous of her excellence and let her... more>> be violated by this scum!! What made it worse, was that the author wrote for her to "fall in love" with her rapist and have his kid, then continue to be "content to stay by his side" when the FL came into the picture, which BTW is very out of character for her!!!

Puhleeeeease b.i.t.c.h Medusa would've kicked his a.s.s. if it wasn't because the author was biased. It's been 2 damn years and I'm still pissed. Medusa deserves better!! Story would've been so much better if she killed him, claimed his b.i.t.c.h then lived her best life as the real MC!!!!! -_______- <<less

One of the first few novels I read. I remember only a couple hundred chapters were translated back then. I really loved it at that time, I have even read the first 500 chapters thrice. I decided to complete it this time from zero to last, and I am left with nothing good to say about the story. Monotonous, repetitive and sooo much at that, dragged out, 1 Dimensional villians, horrible romance, rushed ending, just very poorly written the further it goes on.

I'll make this simple. Short summary of the story at the end.

Pros:

Umm... none.

Cons:

  • Deus ex machina galore. This happens in EVERY conflict where the MC isnt present. The authors doesnt even bother to save this unnecessary, bland and overused drama for main conflicts.
  • Overly used luck. The MC probably has 3-5 Chinese novel protagonist worth of luck. This is serious.
  • Talent-less MC. Who needs talent when youre the god of luck? He only gets strong not because of perseverance, handwork, or talent, but because of his god-like luck.
  • Irrational and self-centered MC. He makes a small problem then blows it out of proportions; just like your typical arrogant young masters.

MC from a small clan. Has a girl cruching on him who is from a mega clan (not revealed till later and this also becomes a driving force for power later).

MC's father's reputation got ruined by his fiance not wanting to marry. Thus, a challenge (Early driving for for power).

MC gets a super grandpa teacher.

Wins challenge against fiance. Unnecessarily makes enemy with a clan. Father captured. Must save father.

Academy life. Outer student conflict. Then inner student conflict.

Wanting to destroy and entire clan to its roots (including innocents), but because of female he only disbands them.

Central Plane, the next level place renowned as a place for experts. Offend faction - Escape - Survive- power up -destroy faction. Rinse and repeat about a dozen times. Along the way makes friends with powerful people.

Win competitions. Famous.

Get a sht ton of inheritance.

A lot of ass pull power-ups for his harem to try and keep them relevant. His harem could have their own Chinese novel just from the amount of ass-pull they get. About 95% of the entire novel his harem is just as strong or even stronger than him cuz of ass-pull.

Finds out his clan was an ancient clan that was declining.

More luck

More luck.....

Becomes a god.

Deus ex machina the final boss. So bad I skimmed through the final boss arch.

His clan is now thriving.

He gets all his harem. Worst harem BTW. It doesnt happen till 95% of the novel was complete. He gets all of his harem literally on the final chapter. Worst part is, dragon girl was forgotten in the epilogue. Dragon girl was even one of the central characters who accompanied the MC through tough times, yet a girl who probably only had a handful of chapters got included in the epilogue..........

Tease a squeal in the epilogue.

Disappointed, this novel start of really good but, gradually goes really bad. The arthor keep introducing new characters with a lot of unique character but, just after a while he just through them out like a tr*sh, just what the hell is he even doing!!? And at the few hundred last chapters it getting so freaking annoying just to read it! Comparing the novel to the manha the manha version is far better! I like the manha way way better then this novel version! Xiao Yan in the manha way... more>> more better, he has a lots more friend and more friendly then in the novel, and he don’t just through them away like trust like in novel. Anyway to sums it up, I recommend everyone to read the manha version rather them this novel version, which is only at around 230 chapter today. I’m sure you like it better them the novel version, which is so so bad at the end. <<less

If I could I would give this novel a 0 star rating. Worse novel in history if you ask me. First 500 chapters were great, but then the story was recycled over and over and over and then some more. It got so bad that chapters seemed the same only with a few names changed here and there. It is beyond generic, and eve though it had great potential the author killed it just like all his other novels. If you are between the ages of 9 and 12 you'll... more>> love it. If you are between 12 and 15, you'll find it okei, but above 15 you will be disgusted by it j less this is your first novel or you have very bad memory. This is not an insult, it is facts.

This novel is one of the worst I've had the misfortune of slogging through. I don't know what the author was doing but the entire last 500+ chapters are such BS I can't help but be pissed off I actually finished it in hopes of a good ending. Nope. The characters become very bland and one sided. MC did not lose a single fight in the entire novel. Each and every time he was either saved or just escaped without any real consequences. He fights these clans that have been... more>> around for thousands of years training while MC plot armor is barely out of his youth when winning every fight. It's like this is a level scaling RPG where as soon as MC ranks up all of a sudden all these high level experts who had never even appeared before suddenly pop up everywhere like weeds. Lets not forget the grand and exaggerated scale of everything thousand mile long energy pillars, destroying hundred thousand feet long swords, once in a thousand year events that just so happen to line up with what the MC needs. To really seal the deal the end is mediocre and leaves so much unanswered I can't help but say it was a waste of time to read this.

I've made an account to tell future visitors that this is absolutely not worth picking up. I've wasted my time reading this and don't think anyone else should suffer the disappointment that is Battle Through the Heavens. <<less

I personally really loved this novel. Being one of the first novels I've ever read on Wuxia, reading this kind of novel was some sort of introduction for me into the so called "world of chinese wuxia novels". Having read the manga first and enjoying it a lot, I quickly turned to the novel after finishing the unfinished manga, and I actually enjoyed it a lot as well!

So what did the novel do well?

First of all, I found the MC mostly likeable. He has most of the classic shounen MC... more>> qualities of being earnest and optimistic and stuff, without being a complete pushover, and I like that. Mostly.

Secondly, the world building was done really well. The world actually felt like a functioning world with a bunch of established cities and an actual population living their day to day lives. That's pretty well done. I've read a few other Wuxia novels (namely I Shall Seal the Heavens), where the world just feels like a giant, near empty barren land filled with the occasional isolated sect that sometimes like to go to war with other isolated sects. Luckily BTTH feels like an actual world with an actual lore and history, with an actual civilisation filled with empires and cities that actually interact with each other.

Thirdly, the side characters are pretty likeable as well. While I like the manga versions better where they are all funny and very quippy with each other, the novel version is not much worse. The villains are also pretty well done, they are a threat that is introduced very, very early into the novel and is developed somewhat well throughout.

Lastly, the pacing, at least from the beginning up to somewhere around the middle, is pretty good. The story never feels boring or too rushed during that area, it feels just right.

Anyways, there are more things I like about the story, but there are also a lot of things I hate. And since I'm a very hateful person, I couldn't wait before listing out the things I hate.

One of the biggest nitpicks I have with novels like this is the romance. The romance between the MC and Xun Er and Cai Lin seem somewhat forced. Especially the former. Sure, they were together a lot during the beginning of the novel, but they never really seem to have much chemistry with each other, the way they talked with each other never implied that they were anything more than brother and sister. The same goes for Cai Lin. She acts very tsun tsun-ish, but the times when she's dere are so few and far between. And even when they do happen it's often very weak and over in like a paragraph or so.

To be clear, this novel isn't devoid of good romance. The best romance in the novel in my opinion is actually between

Yun Yun and the MC. The both of them honestly have really good chemistry with each other, and the way they act around each other, or at least the way Yun Yun acts towards him, seems very cute and heartwarming, and this could end up being a really good romance if the author decided to develop it more. Sadly the romance goes nowhere and ends without them resolving the feelings Yun Yun has for him or even mentioning it at all after a certain point. Man, that felt really disappointing.

Onto the relationships in general, the MC meets so many people and starts so many plot points throughout the novel, and yet very few of them get developed and have a nice resolution. Look, I know that your average person in real life is going to meet so many people that they can't possible remember them all after ten years or so, but this is different in a story. If you introduce someone in a story and let them have a relationship with the MC, you're going to have to do something with them and resolve their relationship. Merely mentioning them once or twice towards the end of the novel isn't enough and just leaves the reader hanging and wondering "hey, what happened to character X?" This becomes apparently clear towards the Central Plains section of the novel, especially

Han Xue and her family, and the person the MC was trying to help get a elder spot back at the pill tower but I can't remember the name of because they were never mentioned again, Nalan Yanran and the Nalan clan, Hai po dong (I liked the manga where they turned him into a child. I liked him better there) e.t.c.

Speaking of the end of the novel, remember when I said that the pacing was really good up to a certain point? Yeah. Around chapter 900-1000 or so, the pace starts getting abruptly fast, and the MC spends only a few chapters of time climbing the top levels of dou qi, even skipping the entire "half saint" stage. Like what the hell, if you're not going to make the MC climb through it, then don't make the stage in the first place. Ignoring that, it's becoming very clear at around chapter 1000 or so that the author needs to finish the novel soon, hence he starts rushing the whole thing and the pace becomes unnaturally fast, in complete contrast with the gentle pace of the first half of the novel. This shows the importance of having some sort of plan when you're planning on writing these extremely long novels. There are some rules of literature that you probably shouldn't break, namely:

If you're introducing some sort of levelling system (like the dou qi ranks from dou qi zhe to dou di) or something, then by the end of the story the MC must have reach the top.

Clearly the author spent too many chapters having the MC climb through the first the first half of his levelling system, so he rushed the second half. And this leads to the second half having very little downtime for the characters to continue developing and interact, leaving the novel feeling very rushed and unfinished. This is especially evident whenever the author keeps emphasising that the ranks (stars) in between each rank is extremely far apart, so much so that every rank needs about a ten years of training or so, and yet the MC just blazes through them all extremely quickly.

Speaking of rushed, a lot of plot points are clearly recycled over and over and over again, to the point where you can read a chapter and know exactly what's going to happen a few chapters later. The most outrageous repeated plot point is:

  1. Character X (who has some relationship with the MC) and his/her clan or alliance of people are being attacked by the villains again or whatever
  2. Around half to a full chapter is spent showing how the situation is hopeless and how character X is losing and losing hope as well (the reader is losing hope also losing hope, so don't worry, character X)
  3. The villain is about to defeat or kill character X when the MC shows up with a one liner and here to save the day!
Of course, this sort of template kind of has to be used in almost every story about fighting or conflict ever, and it's kinda obvious why. It builds tension, shows how heroic the MC is and stuff like that. But in this novel it's reused over and over and over again, so much so that the tension is removed whenever it happens.

Going back to the MC, I said that I mostly liked the MC. There's this somewhat new trend going on where authors are making their MC's really edgy. Now that might have been happening for a long time, but by "edgy" I mean not hesitating to kill people when they have to. This sort of ruthless at times yet kind MC is pretty popular nowadays in a lot of manga and the wuxia novels, but a lot of times this sorty of MC just comes down as being an unlikeable a**hole. This problem is really obvious in other wuxia novels (looking at you again, I shall seal the heavens. The MC there is a f*cking genocidal maniac), and here the MC gets really close to being a cold, ruthless unlikeable character at times. Luckily these moments are pretty few and far between, so it's not as big of a problem as I'm making it out to be.

Another huge problem that happens all throughout this novel is power creep. Now what is power creep? Basically power creep is when literally everything is getting more powerful all the time. I know I explained it badly, but let me explain it in context. In the story, the MC's rate of growth is constantly being said to be "really f*ckin frightening", and that "usually it would take a thousand billion years to climb to this rank, but he did it in three minutes!" Now I'm not totally against an MC that gets strong very quickly through a ton of Deus Ex Machinas, as I think the only times when Deus Ex Machinas are a problem is when they break my sense of disbelief in the story, but the problem is that almost every other character close to the MC also grows this fast along with him. But wait?! The reader thinks, if the MC only grew this fast because of all the deus ex machinas, then are all the other characters getting sh*t tons of deus ex machinas as well?! And the answer seems to be yes. Xun Er, the fairy doctor, Cai Lin, even Qing Lin and Yun Yun. All of them have some BS deus ex machina power that lets them keep up and sometimes even exceed the MC in strength. I get that you have to have some companionship and someone to fight alongside the MC, but when literally all of this companions are like this you start to think that deus ex machina bullsh*t that helps you refine your strength must be really f*cking common in this world, isn't it?

It isn't just the MC's group though, from the very beginning even Dou Huangs and Dou Zongs were described as "being the top of the continent" and "being so rare". After the MC reaches that stage, suddenly they become as common as weeds. This happens every stage. By the end, I swear there about a million more saints than when the story started. This is especially hard to believe as the author keeps telling us that these stages are extremely difficult to climb towards and break through, and yet almost everyone that the MC knows breaks through them. It's almost as if these rare things that raise your strength aren't as rare as they seem.

Anyways, I've ranted on long enough. I still think this novel was pretty enjoyable despite all its flaws. I had fun and enjoyed reading it, and I do recommend this for anyone getting into Wuxia novels.

Everyone who hate this type of novel, wuxia and xianxia is not for you.

For those who think the author is just dragging the stories, for f**k sake, this is wuxia! The MC need a lot of cultivation and time to grow stronger, if you want to MC go like "Kabooom" Over-powered in a second the you might as well just read some Shoujo Manga or typical OP anime MC with a lot of harem and fan service.

For the "lady-luck whoring", jfc as I said again and again, this is Wuxia,... more>> most of the popular wuxia and xianxia novel got a lot of harem in it. If you don't like just read "I eat tomato" work, it only got one love interest, and if you think the romance is not good enough you might as well watch or read those korean romance with lot of edgy lines. <<less

This novel is awesome. The characters in this novel are likable and well fleshed out. MC is a sly guy who knows how to use his brain (Also not a bloodthirsty mofo like the guy in MGA). The story is compelling and well written. The translation is also excellent, no issues with grammar or terms. The unique Dou Zhe, Dou Shi, Da Dou Shi, etc terms of power classification was a bit confusing at first, but over time I found I liked it more and more. It has a certain... more>> amount of gravitas that standard numerical levels or master/grandmaster terms simply did not have. What can I say? In all areas, this is pretty much what a perfect xianxia novel should be. I can find no faults with it other than there's not enough of it! Alongside ATG and CD, this has quickly become one of my favourite works. If you're fans of either of those two novels, definitely try this out. <<less

Terrific novel! It is true that you know the hero will always win and not die, but in this novel the hero never has it easy. Fortune smiles on him all the time, but that is only after he gives it his all and endures extreme pain and trouble. There are many novels out there where the hero upgrades super fast or becomes overly powerful for his level, but this novel is not that kind. WARNING THIS REVIEW IS VERY LONG (As the book itself is over 1, 600 chapters I decided to review it in 3 separate parts) If you're curious about whether or not reading this entire novel is worth it. Decide after reading this review. The story has very mixed reviews for a reason and I'm here to help you figure it out.

BTTH is a very interesting novel, mostly because of the fantastic world building. I'd say that out of all the harem novels I've read, which are few and far between,... more>> this would have to be my favorite so far. I like Xiao Yan and I like a lot of the female leads. The author so far has made it clear that Xiao Yan will not have only one female love interest and that's fine with me so long as the main male lead is interesting enough to have these women all over him. Xiao Yan is someone that I can believe it makes sense for these women to be all over him. He's good natured and kind to those that he loves and he protects those he cares about to the grave. He's not overly fanatical, obsessive, nasty, or bad natured. He's cool headed, rational, and he's good looking.

I wouldn't say that there aren't flaws in this series. Of course there are. Xiao Yan is vey lucky, as has been stated over and over again in these reviews. There are times where he will find items, medicinal ingredients, and etc. That people have been searching for all of their lives in a short period of time. He has a teacher that is extremely overpowered that takes over his body anytime that Xiao Yan himself can't get out of a situation on his own. Things like that, however, the way that this world is built makes that sense of luck actually quite realistic. In this world, the strong dominates and luck is a huge and necessary trait you need to have to get stronger and the weak and the unlucky tend to fail and get slighted. People who have been training for years can sometimes only get to be level three Da Dou Shi while extremely talented teenagers can become level 7 to 8 Da Dou Shi's or even stronger. For example, Xun Er also has incredible luck and has abilities and items that a lot of old men who've been training for years would want too. Xiao Yan isn't the only one in the world that this extreme luck and strength happens to. Xiao Yan might be lucky but in the world that this story is in stuff like this happens. It just makes it interesting to see what situation Xiao Yan might get himself into next.

Now as I'm not even halfway through with this novel, I know I haven't gotten to the Medusa part that turns off a lot of people from this series. I know what's going to happen but I haven't read it myself yet and so I know that I can't say anything about it until I do. One thing I know though is that Medusa and Xiao Yan are very interesting characters and so I would like to see how exactly a situation so out of character for the both of them was written into the story. If I find that it puts me off the series for good, I will continue this review and discuss more about it in detail. For now though, I've decided to give this story a solid 4 out of 5.

UPDATE: As I continue to get it deeper into this story I've decided to debunk some common misconceptions about this novel. Firstly, people seem to believe that the author has made Xiao Yan some kind of hero of justice who's been wronged and has to carry out his vengeance on everyone. That is not the case. Xiao Yan is consistently selfish. It's part of who he is, he cares about the people he loves deeply and he tries to protect them BUT if you are not a part of the group he loves and admires he couldn't care less about what happens to you. He has responsibilities and duties and people that he has to take care of and so to get stronger, he doesn't mind breaking the law, stealing from people, or even killing people.

Secondly, The whole entire reason he was upset that his engagement was broken off had nothing to do with having feelings for Yanran or that 'promises should be kept' it's because she embarrassed his family in public. If she had broken it off discreetly in a conversation between him and her as well as Xiao Yan's father, he definitely wouldn't have made the three year bet and a lot of the issues that came with it.

Her clan ends up teaming up with the hall of souls and hunting down his entire clan and making him lose his own father, all because he won against Yanran and they had a grudge (the audacity of sore losers these days).

He doesn't have a problem with people breaking off engagements at all as we end up seeing later in the story with Yun Yun. He went to their wedding and he made a bet with the guy she was engaged to and since he lost they broke off the engagement fairly with no shame being put to either Xiao Yan's family, to the guy she was going to marry, or even Yun Yun.

Thirdly, the r*pe scene with Medusa and Xiao Yan was actually done well. They don't go into explicit details. They don't make it seem like the occasion was nothing or harmless. They don't try to play it off as if it never happened. INSTEAD, what they do is they make a point to explain how the situation that occurred effected their mentality and state of being. They make it a point to expose how even though the r*pe was something out of control because of the flame, it's still a horrible tragedy. Xiao Yan couldn't control himself because of the flame and he talks about how he felt violated as well because of that. It's a very harsh topic matter and when done badly it can be incredibly offensive and revolting. However, that doesn't mean that people aren't allowed to write about it. It happens in real life and sometimes, fictitious or not, writing about situation like that makes it easier to help a person who's dealing with something similar.

This is a harem novel but it's one of the most tactful I've ever read so far. Xiao Yan isn't attracted to all of the women he comes across and although most are attracted to him, he stays away. He's honest about how he feels for them and he expresses himself and his emotions as much as he can. His relationship with Medusa is proof of this fact. If he wasn't as honest with her as he was and if he didn't work as hard as he did to protect everyone he could, they would never have gotten to the point they're at now. Especially after what happened between them, since he was open and honest about what happened they both got a sense of peace with the horrible event. I think they both end up scarred from it but they move past it as time goes on as they build a more intimate relationship. They care for each other in a way I never got to see from him until now. She's definitely stronger than him and he respects that strength but he also want to protect her and it's so sweet. Sine I'm enjoying myself, I will be keeping this novel at 4/5. Once I finish the novel, I will come back with another update to see if I will be changing the score or if it falls off at any point.

2ND UPDATE

After reading this story for so long I finally understand why exactly I love Xiao Yan's character so much. It's because despite his overwhelming strength and willpower, he spends almost the entirety of the novel weaker than all his love interests. He never gives up his quest to be stronger because if he doesn't the people he's in love with and the people he loves won't be safe if he doesn't. I'm used to overpowered characters in novels, manga, and etc. And I thought that while reading this novel I'd be able to look at him and say wow this guy is overpowered but I'm over halfway through and although he is incredibly strong, especially for his age, he's really not. There are 1'648 chapters in this novel and I'm more than halfway through and he has battles with enemies that have actual stakes. He could die while battling them and yet he still survives and although it's not shocking, it's impressive and speaks to his character. Once I finish the novel, I'll finish this review but I thought I needed to add this before I get any further. Especially since I know he'll eventually grow stronger than everyone I want everyone to know that the journey is long and it makes sense. He's never suddenly more powerful than everyone, it takes time and that makes it much more interesting.

LAST UPDATE:

I've finally completed the novel. It was a very wild ride and I enjoyed every minute of it. Although, of course this series isn't a masterpiece, I'd stay it's still an amazing novel. Watching this man go through hell and back to protect his family and to have all of his hard work rewarded was a wonderful thing to experience. He spent almost the entirety of the novel struggling to gain power to defeat his odds and he only becomes truly powerful around the end. Every loose end was tied in a little bow and it felt very satisfying to read. By the end of the story there aren't any more questions or plot holes, just a completed and well thought out story. If there was anything that I'd change or that I didn't like about the story, it would be the end game relationships but even those make sense. It makes sense that he didn't end up with Yun Yun despite the fact that they loved each other. They were entirely different people with much different goals and lives. It just wouldn't work. I would've loved if he had only ended up with Cai Lin (Medusa) but if he abandoned Xun Er for Cai Lin then the fact that he spent so much time trying to become worthy of Xun Er just to abandon that for a woman he's growing feelings for recently, would make him an a**hole. Even though I prefer monogamous relationships, I'm happy that these they're all a happy family. I wish that I could've gotten to see Xiao Yan interact with his children so much more than what we got but at the end of the day I still am not complaining. The man was busy protecting them all. When everything finally calmed down he was able to finally just be a dad and I'm really happy for him. I think when people talk about this series and how they don't like it because things don't make sense, it drags on too long, they don't like the ships, those opinions are valid. This story is over 1, 600 chapters. Everything makes sense in the end and not a chapter is wasted. I don't think it drags on for too long at all, this story wouldn't be the same if it was shorter. HOWEVER, anyone who decided that they don't want to finish it because they realize it's sort of a harem and it has too many chapter and they don't like the characters, has a right to that opinion. This story is obviously not for everyone. For people who are simply curious and want to know if reading all of this is worth it, it is. If you want to stop reading though because it's just not your thing, that's perfectly fine. At the end of the day though, the author made an amazing novel and I admire their hard work. Check it out and see whether or not it's your thing. Simple as that. <<less

  • Honestly I'm tired of how Xiao Yan portrays himself... When he was still with Xun er in the clan, he wasn't as messed up as this...I dont really understand why when he sees a pretty girl for the first time, he eye gropes them, he stares at their legs, their body for an uncomfortable long time causing them to be disgusted with him, Then boom the author makes the girl fancy him in the end bcus of his immense talent.. this is just crap! Like Bro control yourself!

    And another issue I have with this novel is how the author goes into full details for irrelevant nonsenses...''She opens her full red lips and she stares at the man who starts to look handsome'', '' ''Xiao yan's gaze paused on the beautiful curves of Nalan Yanran'a tender body'' Like wtf!.... The fight scenes aren't even as explanatory as this, apart from this it has been kinda interesting

The MC "Xiao Yan" can be easily described in a few words I feel such as PRETENTIOUS, RECKLESS, FORGETFUL, CLUELESS and a WEAKLING (he acts like a weakling all the time for ex. Even he knows someone is going after to kill him he would face the person spout endless bullsh*t then fight him and makes his decision to kill the opponent only to let him escape in end cause after he defeated the opponent he stood by side to wait and let someone rescue the opponent.... Wait what ???? Happens everytime I promise you)

If I evaluate this work in a nutshell, then I will say: "this is normal". YES. It's just normal. 3/5 and not an ounce more.

This work is definitely not a masterpiece. I will not talk about the pros and cons of this work. I will just talk about two problems that no normal author will create in his works.

First - harmony in the world:

Where is harmony, or at least its appearance? Why is there only a great fire, but there is no water, air, earth and wood? After all, if only fire exists, then everything there must at least consist of flame. But no. There are other elements there. Then where are all the powerful guys who have other elements? They are not.

These half-hearted "alchemists" can win against any of the same level of power. Why? Because, unlike other ones, they have two ways of development. It is like having two hands instead of one. And only for this they are stronger. If they are stuck on one, they can break through on the other.

And others, poor practitioners: water, earth, air, wood? Where is their strength? And not her. The author simply crossed out 80% of the options of strong people, because he was too lazy to write about it. No, even more! After all, not every fiery practitioner can be an alchemist. Only those that for some reason have a piece of wood. Which they have never practiced since birth, and which, by all possible logic, has already become useless.

Yes, the author may have understood after what sh*t he did. And he began to turn the great flames into other elements: wood (literally fire with an element of wood), earth (increasing body vitality and regeneration), water (ice, as it were, an element of water), air (I don't remember what he did, but he was). But it was late and useless.

You can say that there were strong rivals of the main character who were not alchemists. And I will ask you if they had chances to win under equal conditions? No, and no again.

Well, let's forget about this problem. But the problem will not forget about us!

She will come and say: I brought you a phoenix girlfriend who literally lives in a fire. Take it together, and Naderi ass creeping creatures. And you say: no problem sir, as you wish sir.

Why? Because the dragons are animals slaughtered by the author. Which in his opinion, so much f*cked everything that moves, That they lost all their bloodline.

And I would like to ask the author. Do you think dragons - a bas-relief on the walls so they do not move?

A dragon goes and sees another dragon, and thinks: "what a strange bas-relief, I would f*ck him, only he does not move."

Well, okay, maybe the author never loved reptiles, and so he treated them like that.

Second - Stop touching your father:

Really! The author is simply obsessed with fathers a**holes! 80 Percent of fathers in the piece are a**holes. And these 20 percent of fathers, who are not fools, were added by me only because of personal conscience, and not because they are in the work.

Well, you turned the fathers of the girls of the main character into idiots, the fathers of enemies into idiots, the fathers of friends into idiots. Have pity on the father of your main character, and do not turn him into a jerk.

NOT! Your goal is to turn all the fathers in the world into idiots. And therefore, you are not sparing neither the father nor the teacher of your main character. And turn them into useless crap that only can wave their hand out of the cage and scream "save me!" And when the protagonist rescues him, he does not go even one step, stumbles upon some other idiot father, and shouts to you again: “Save me!”

The author, why, so humiliate your father? Even if you hate him, give him a drop of respect.

Maybe the author wanted to write about parental love? If so, it turned out shit.

This work does not deserve the cult that lined up around it.

There are many works that are not worse than this. They are the best!

Not going to lie, things he does goes beyond borderline fu*ked up. If even TL has to make excuses for MC, it says a lot. Spoilers: The excuses were lame.

The "Strong, independent MC" turns out to be an as*hole that is no better than the 'mean' people who are bad to him. Also, victim complex is just leaking out of the character to justify whatever shitty thing he is up to next. Rest of things like training and... more>> fights are pretty bland. <<less
