I’ve learned quite a bit about childcare in this novel! At least about to deal with children with different personalities. The books MC read to the babies are really interesting too, if I could I would definitely buy them!

MC is an orphan kindergarten teacher omega from an ABO galaxy. In his planet, when an omega reaches 20 years old, an IA will automatically assign a matching marriage partner to him, but he managed to dodge this bullet by going to work in a beastman planet. The job has a lot... more>> of restrictions: he doesn’t really have a permit and he can only get one if he makes great contributions. There’s a lot of restricted information he can’t access, including a very important detail about the babies he have to take care: the babies are actually spiritual bodies (like sentinels, but not 100% the same) of military young adults students. It happens that the beastman here indeed have beasts genes, however, they don’t really turn into beasts, they just awaken a spiritual bodies when they reach adulthood (usually at least). Those spiritual bodies awaken as cubs and go through evolutions to grow up. They act very much on instincts, inner thoughts and feelings of the beastman.

Before ML started to change things (or try at least), those spiritual bodies would go through a very intense training and sometimes have very cruel experiences, taking at least 30 days to reach the first evolution. Thanks to that and to previous unsolved issues / traumas of the beastman, the spiritual bodies became unstable and with riot tendency - which is very dangerous. MLS best friend spiritual body not only rioted, but also suppressed the main body and disconnected from him. The empire and his adopted family abandoned him because of that and ML barely managed to prevent a bigger disaster - but there’s no know cure or definitive solution for this situation.

ML then started this initiative to send the awakened cubs to a kindergarten. He hired “aliens” from other galaxies (like MC), kept them in the dark about what those cubs really are (also to protect them) and hope to prove that a good childhood for those cubs are more important and effective for their growth than a super intense training.

And this is the background or this novel that I super recommend! It’s not the smartest cookie of the package, but very interesting. This is the first time I see this mix of beastman and ABO as different species, but in the same universe and much more (probably - not explored, but very interesting concept). <<less

Beginning was 4 stars, the second half more like 2.5. cute start, with mediocre romance and abrupt ending.

MC is okay, I loved MC in the first half (even if he is a Gary Stu, loved by everyone type), but not so much by the end.

He is the typical caring childcare type. He is weak, but not completely s*upid. It's not that he doesn't question things, but more so he knows what he signed up for and wants this job to earn freedom from forced alpha marriage. Yes he doesn't... more>> always make the right choice, but it is believable for him to run after what he thought was a defenseless cub.

I get that he was surprised about the ML and the snake, but I hated how he treated the snake after. The snake was under the influence of drugs and their mating period, neither the snake nore the ML were all there cognitively. As an omega who loses control without inhibitors, you'd think he would be more forgiving. I mean the snake just wanted to impress MC with his two... ya know.

Sure be mad at the ML for hiding things so long and maybe teach the snake that it's not appropriate to show off your g**itals and that it's wrong to pretend to be a cub. It's literally mentioned many times that the spirit bodies rely more on instinct and are more naive than their human counterparts.

Not to mention he never really accepts that if he is with the ML he is with the snake as well. The ML and the snake just decides that the snake will mostly hide in his spiritual sea?! The snake feeling unloved, broke my heart.

ML is an okay ML. Has his cute and funny moments. Didn't like how he handles the spirit cub secret, but I knew it was going to be a catalyst for some drama.

Their romance was a let down. The beginning sets it up to be cute and they both are slowly figuring out their feelings. Then the author pulls some wonky scenario and then the MC is all resistant towards ML in an almost racist way. Like if he wanted a normal love why didn't he stay in his home system? Why run to another star system and be shocked that they are different than you?!

The world building is weak, some futuristic aspects the modern day things thrown in randomly. The beast world wasn't built upon or explained well. I can forgive weak world building if the main couple have a great romance or the MC has a great story line. It's too bad this novel had neither

The time spent with each cub was short and the whole novel only spans about 6 months. Of course in those 6 months a lifetime of events happen and time spent with each cub is too short.

My biggest issue is the ending was really abrupt. There are too many unanswered questions and their relationship felt one sided until the end. There are a few extras about the main couple and the rest are about the side characters.

The translation was fine, thank you translator. I MTLd from chapter 60 on and for the most part it's easy to understand. <<less

Perfection for the first 42 chapters, then MC's IQ takes a plunge. I'd give the story at most 3.5 stars starting with chapter 43, but the translation is solid overall and the first chapters are actually enjoyable.

I understand the Author was going for the 'loving caretaker willing to brave dangers for the cubs' vibe but considering MC's sensible choices until that point, the result is just cringe.

Running after a cub in the middle of a fight and becoming a dead weight to the trained personnel who suddenly had to protect 2 people instead of 1, playing hero despite 0 abilities and turning into a body shield for the cub without thinking how traumatizing it'd be to die in front of the kid (not to mention, being a sitting duck in the line of fire helps how? At least dodge ffs).

I do not find this endearing, I find this s*upid. If MC would've been an airhead from the start the reception would be different, but he actually had common sense before the Author thought they'd pull a 'funny' one.

I couldn't bear it anymore and skimmed the remaining translated chapters. Will start reading properly once MC is told/figures out the cubs' identities (but if it doesn't happen soon, I will just drop this). <<less
