The plot is good, not instant smut. The female lead is afraid of the male lead and tries to escape. Hilarity ensues. I really wanted to continue reading but wasn't able to due to age verification (I'm adult but handling account settings in Korean is a pain). I hope this gets picked up by someone who has figured it all out.

Edit2: Now up to c77, still no smut. I think we've had more words devoted to describing the desserts she's eaten than actual dialogue between the two main characters. idk why I keep reading this; feeling truly like a masochist.

Edit: I caught up again and this series is maddening. You think maybe we've finally got some plot progress in c55 only for the author to immediately switch into flashback for his POV so we can rehash the gazillion fakeouts all over again. And chapters are insanely short, maybe 1/3 a... more>> typical Korean web novel chapter.

I get that the reason for the plot holes is that ML knew all along, but I still think this is poor writing. Considering how repetitive it gets, the author could've easily reframed things so it was more of an actual cat-and-mouse game. It makes her look extra dumb for never questioning why he kept going along with these situations and it makes him look dumb for not being more clever in trying to get her to let her guard down.

I was initially really excited about this, the start was so promising, and highly entertaining. But now we're over 40 chapters in and I just realized there has been zero plot progress since the first few chapters.

The same gimmick just gets repeated over and over again, plot holes and all (he never directly asks the person she points to whether or not they're his guide, when there is literally nothing stopping him from doing so.) It has gotten incredibly boring and feels like the author is intentionally dragging it out... <<less

The plot seemed interesting but it's been the same story, he's looking for for her, suspects her, she misleads him with someone else, he deduces it's not that person, rinse and repeat for 30 chapters now and I feel like the author thinks we're dumb, there's not even any relationship development or character development so what is even the point in all of this.

I'll check in again in 20 chapters and see if anything has transpired.

4-4.5* Story is funny with a unique take on the stereotypical yandere ML getting tripped up by the mc

In this instead of MC immediately falling for the ml's cold and powerful demeanor and ML getting to look completely flawless and cool, he gets led around by MC on a goose chase while she constantly makes pot shots at him and his stereotypical aloof personality

ML: You know what? I'm usually annoyed by excessively overbearing ML's that can't accept boundaries as depicted in the summary/ early chapter, HOWEVER I feel it is... more>> a very real possibility that MC eventually gives the ML a stroke (from excessive teasing and pranks) leaving him not all there sooo he might deserve a pass

MC: her running commentary is amazing, ex. her reaction to ML recalling the sensual nature of his encounter with the mysterious guide (ie. Her) :

she's always pulling something and it is mostly hilarious, there are some extremely frustrating choices later that feel like they're forced in order to drag the plot on but nothing's perfect

At first it was an interesting and fun story, that's why I paid for premium chapters, but later... the FL becomes annoying and dumb. If you are reading for the snu-snu, then look for another novel because it is disappointing. Oh, this novel it's not R18, it's R15. I'm thinking about dropping this story :/

Hello!? I love the FL she is so unintentionally funny but not s*upid. Im not always a fan of guideverse but this is just great. Haven’t seen much of ML but he seems like he will be very obsessive. The story so far seems to be a bit of slow burn but has a light atmosphere. Only wish the chapters were longer

I'm not into hardcore yanderes who imprison and all but ffs, this FL is so dumb, he should just keep her in his basement. ML not only forgives her too easily, every time she just starts crying and make herself a victim so he has to apologize and console her. She has only one braincell and when she's finally using it, the conclusion is always 'naah, why should I be careful, lets just make more trouble and wait for ML to fix it. YOLO!'.

Everything else is nice, I liked the... more>> slow-burn and even reading ML's pov was interesting, I just wish our FL could sometimes use her brain, not just her tears. <<less

The translator is a God here: the writing is just so good you get s**ked in and can't stop reading.

While it's true that the pacing is a bit slow, the writing is just SO GOOD you don't care at all - the hilarious MC, the funny cast, everything is just top tier

This is the kind of story for you to read when you have absolutely nothing in your head I give 4 stars for the start, but the rest is a just 2 stars.

so if you have read until the chapter you know that at least 30 chapters are the same f think repeating over and over again, he suspects her, she hides and point at another person the same boring thing again and again, and after realising... more>> this I skipped at least I think 20 chapters and this 20 chapters didn't add ANYTHING FOR THE F STORY OK, the plot truly start progressing at chapter

I’ve never had so much fun reading a guide-centric novel before. Normally they’re dark and angsty but this one... this one is hilariously fun to read. ML chasing the FL around, hoping she trips up and reveals she’s his guide is unique and thrilling! FL stands up for herself and sometimes succeeds in keeping the ML in line. Translation is amazing! Totally recommend this novel to everyone!

The story is fun up till the MC is discovered to be his guide, and even remains fun for a couple dozen chapters after. Then it becomes boring, with more focus on guide school or whatever and the characters MC meets there than the relationship between MC and ML. I feel like chapters 100-200 barely have ML in them and there's pretty much zero progress between ML and MC.

I read up to 90 chapters and so I kind of view this novel as a comedy. The FL is kinda dumb and it makes me laugh cause how she thinks is really funny but can be frustrating sometimes. The situations she creates honestly is hilarious cause the way she gaslights the ML was so funny. So don’t be so serious with this light novel.

I'd give this novel 4 stars due to the jarring pacing of the chapters. It could do better with longer chapters as each chapter is way too short and could've been condensed into one or two chapters. I sped through the first 53 in mere minutes and felt like I had only read 10 chapters of a novel rather than a 53-chaptered one. I have no idea if this is a decision on the translation team's part or something the original author had done. I'm leaning towards it being the... more>> original author's doing.

Other than that, I enjoyed it thoroughly and found it to be quite funny how the FL causes the ML to run in circles trying to find out who his guide is. Although the flippant attitude the FL has towards the inevitable death of the ML if he does not find a decent enough guide to stave off his rampages does bother me. I get it, you're afraid of dying by his hand but has it not occurred to our lovely FL that it makes zero sense for him to kill her as she quite literally is the only one capable enough to guide him?

I'm not one to pontificate over plot holes though, so again, 4 stars from me because of a fun plot with fun characters and the hope for smutty smut smut. The starting scene was spicy absolutely loved the imagery of guiding being compared to drinking fresh water and I hope for more excellent imagery to come.

I love guide verse, bc depending on author it could be super toxic or super fluffy.

In this one it might be both?

FL is actually pretty smart and ‘realistic’. Not ‘I am genius, can count the bricks of high rise buildings in passing’ kind of smart but ‘I have basic common sense and survival instincts’ one.

... more>> Despite being a guide she didn’t disclose information about it, opting to choose relatively safer office position for the time being.

While she walked in their centre she stumbled upon ML in midst of rampage. From her previous knowledge she knew she had to guide him otherwise he might blow up and kill them both.

This moment can make someone uncomfortable. I think FL is a bit pe*verted... there are some dubious elements to it, but honestly it is guide verse. They think of guiding (sleeping with each other, kissing) as necessary medicine.

FL also shows very human response to the actions of ML that he would do in the wake of incidence. She isn’t heartless but she also cherishes her life above those of strangers. That’s why I like her.

We don’t know much about ML except he is hot, OP and very fc unreasonable and mentally ill.

It is a bit early to say it is a good story, but the start is promising.

So give it a try? <<less

Soo, this is a good read if you are patient, you like hilarousity, and it doesn't matter to you if the FL lives in their little bubble.

The storytelling style is another point that makes the story interesting.

... actually I was misguided by a power-couple tag, but the only one with power is the ML, and the FL just lives too much in her bubble to manipulate him or anything, so...

ML is actually kinda only nice to her, doesn't do actually any harm even when she pissed him off (and that... more>> happens a lot)

And at times, some characters, who actually get the situation (for ex. Irene) points it out somehow,... But she doesn't really get it and goes with her own ideas, again....🙃

You know what. This nov3l is sooo good. That I gave it 1 extra star now its 6 stars......... seriously...🫠

I was already filled with stress and it tribpiled it. The biggining chaps were okay and I was entertained but later it deranged. MC is too childish at first I like her naivety but you know it if some one is too much that it's also a no fun. Getting into troubles making troubles its a faily thing for her.

In some novels MC is cutesy naive but also tact full. They... more>> would naively saved situations and won't mostly get inmuch turbles even if they do they would come hout resolved it themselves.

Some times it feels as if she don't value others emotions thinking only of herself. I am not a fan of those and it had made it annoying.

I was already in the bad mood and it didn't made my mood less bad. It increased the lead. And also in the morning.

I may seem harsh but if it was real life dealing with these things would be a load.

ML is sometimes scary but he is soo gentle with fl. He would stop when she say. Campred to others he is a Greenflag. But sometimes it's as if she doesn't value those things Getting scared and running away and there is a limit in running. In times she had known her mistakes but it's too late the situation had already gone bad. ML also had his reasons for being how he used to be.

But the big problem is the MC it's soo frustrating.

If any one is reading this don't just judge my words and try reading the noevl to find out your self. Every one have different tastes and for me this is not my cup of tea. <<less

The book has an adult tag with smut, but to be honest, its not smutty at all. The translator did a good job translating so I enjoyed reading it despite the lack of it. The book's quite slow pace as it takes about 70+ chapters for the two leads to be together. But there's no other male leads, and the ML was flirting with her throughout the first half of the book so it didn't felt dragging.

FL is a carefree and indecisive. Which is a typical trait and one of... more>> the funny elements in the book, make me chuckle a few times reading her monologues.

ML is the typical rich ML who had past trauma and is a yandere btw. Like he would literally cut off other people hands if they touched the FL. But he's quite smart because of him, the love story was sped up, if the ML was slightly dumb in the name of insecurity, then we would have to wait forever.

Personally, at this point of the book, I think the book is divided into two;

The first half, is obviously the summary - in which the mouse cat chase.

The second half of the book is for the FL to find her value, her sense of belonging instead of being known primarily as a guide to the ML. So, I understand why some reviews said it has become dragging after the 100 or so chapters.

Again, it is quite a slow pace book, I didn't feel how lengthy it is because I picked this book up when its already 200+ chapters and read it under one night. Even at chapter 232, the book does not show signs of ending, as there is hint of a second ML. Would I continue on reading until the ending? Definitely would wait until all chapters are load up first because its quite slow pace.

p/s: if anyone is curious, chapter 232 is the supposedly r19, for anyone wondering why its classified under 'adult' and 'smut' tag. <<less
